....

I wonder if there's any BTC holder dumb enough in the world to fall for this. Roll Eyes

The world is full of idiots, even this very own forum proving that every single day....

More terrifying is the fact that even sometimes smart but maybe just a bit naive people even fall for the most obvious scams....

The thought of making a $ for easy is to overwhelming

Hmmm well, you do have a point.

I still find it hard to believe that people still fall for those "send x and receive 2x/3x" Twitter giveaway scams. Those people have really weak thinking capabilities, weaker than monkeys TBH.

Back in the day I actually did something similar and it worked. Anyone here remember Cryptodouble?
You sent them X amount of bitcoin or shitcoin, and 3 days later they sent you back double your “investment”
There was even a countdown next to your listed payment showing you the hours to your 2x payout.
Obvious Ponzi scam but that didn’t stop folks from piling in because for 1st 2 weeks or so it was confirmed
to be actually paying. After a test with some dust, I gambled 100,000 doge and some litecoin, dark coin
spare change. 3 days later right on cue, I get sent back double my investment. Of course, about 3 days later
they exit scammed. Big surprise there.  Those were the days.... lol.
True story.

Ironically the Bitcoin SV account has no actual connection to Bitcoin SV. He knows fuck all about it, and is indeed a banned, multi-accounting troll. He also owns the Bitcoin Gold and Bitcoin Cash accounts but never uses them.

i like that he has a segwit donation address in his profile. great way to show his faith in bsv.

At that time, they might even ask me if i heard about bitcoin, and that i should sell my house to buy btc)

It's somewhat entertaining to find out it's ponzi only if you are not an early adopter. Grin

And yes, they are the majority in the world, we are just a small and strange(!) minority.

I was tempted to introduce them into the concept of Sats and pull out the gold kilogram vs. ounce (or gram) comparison. I didn't do it for my own sake.
Would have been like teaching a turtle how to ride a donkey  Grin

I fully understand you!
(I've learned that it's not healthy to assume a certain level of comprehension, especially in the "real world".)
Because there's quite a chance you may have more success with the turtle...

Another view of an Analyst using Wyckoff's theory ..

Source: https://www.tradingview.com/chart/XBTUSD/Noakp7n5-Why-I-believe-Bitcoin-will-retest-All-Time-Highs-by-July-1-2020/

At the same time he explains his prediction based on:

Quote
1.- The Lucid Stop and Reversal has printed a bullish candle for the first time since July 2019, when BTC was trading well above $10,000.
2.- The Average Directional Index on a daily basis has seen the first bullish crossover since March 2019.
3.- The one-week Relative Strength Index for Bitcoin is “getting ready to test 50,” a level that if broken through may imply dramatic upside.
4.- The one-day Ichimoku Cloud has formed a bullish TK cross.

He thinks that in July 2020 he can reach $ 20k again, an analysis that can result.

Early exiters.

And there are hardly any of those. They ride it into the ground just like everyone else having been shown glittering numbers.

" pre-loaded software on Samsung phones seems to be of a pretty major security vulnerability"

Quote
This software in question is a “storage cleaner” in the “Device Care” section of the phone, which is supposed to handle file optimization and deletion. This particular application is made by a Chinese company called Qihoo 360 and can’t be removed from the phone without using ADB or having root.

Rest In Peace my old friend.
Mic was a legend, a friend, a good boyfriend (of cryptoqeen), a bitcoiner and his biggest identity was that he was the most active and loved WO in the community. F**k you this El Duderino_, don't fake Mic 😘 (No Homo)
By the way, finally you got your brand @Mic. I bet you were looking for El Duderino but this useless guy had it already long ago.

True story.

I remember investing in similar platforms back in 2010/11; they used to accept LibertyReserve and PerfectMoney mostly (no crypto of course) and used to double your USD. Mostly, they used to call themselves "Matrix" (or maybe "Forced Matrix"?) and used to work on a simple algorithm for doubling:

Suppose:

User A pays $10 to the platform
User B pays $10 to the platform
User C pays $10 to the platform
User B's and User C's $10 goes to User A, totaling $20
User B is now the next one to be paid once a new User D invests

This used to work well sometimes, especially when the platforms remained new and didn't have a big queue to pay.

However, there's still a nice difference in such a platform and the doublers present in the replies of tweets.
