I don't know about the prediction, but I like the reasoning about bitcoin put down by the guy. It is almost the reason why I am long bitcoin.

I hope he's right but I don't see this happening. IMO $70k-$100k max....

I did not expect the times that banks are more bullish than WO posters on btc to come around that fast....  Cheesy

I don't post too much but today I couldn't help myself.

A memory came up on my FB wall today, something I posted 3 years ago.

The price of BTC, I must have been pretty excited.  Three years ago this day:  $7,971

It only proves that we're lagging behind on this bullrun. Back then an ATH was how much? ~$1000-1200? And around this time we were already at ATH x7! So we should have been at $20k x7 = $140000! It looks improbable we'll reach $140k this year but what about May-June next year? Why not?  Cool

But we are on a 4 year cycle, not a three year one.  Your number would be for Nov 2021 I think?

So try it on in 2016 now to match the cycle timing...

About <$750 level.  Translates to about 12k this time around.  Yes, we are earlier.  Hence my call for ATH this month or next, rather than last cycle's February ATH topper.  We could go back to sleep for a couple months, but I doubt it.

I’d take the 1BTC, they’d be great maybe 2 nights a week. Probably annoy me too much to be around 24/7.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=138109 and reworked by me to show this record breaking event (we hope for a close above 16,000 as a crash could fuck It up)

We also tied the 15000 + record which is 11 days set
in dec 2017 tied now

2020-11-06  15,570.    2017-12-21  16,033

2020-11-12  15,939.    2017-12-15  17,334
2020-11-13  16,279     2017-12-14  16,351
2020-11-14  15,982     2017-12-13  16,434
2020-11-15  15,972     2017-12-12  16,854
2020-11-16  16,409     2017-12-11  16,293

so if we close at 15000 plus on the 17 we will have 2 records set and be going after the 41 day record over 12500 sec in dec 2017 to jan 2018

Being now in a magnanimous mood, I will cast this pearl before you unmitigated savages:

I'm no longer thinking about buying Lambos, except in the "yeah I might trade a bitcoin for one". Then I can buff it with the towels I bought for a bitcoin years ago.....

* nullius munches on pizza.

It reminds me of that time that Cleopatra bet Mark Anthony that she could consume one meal worth ten million (silver) coins—then, won her bet by dissolving the world’s largest pearl in vinegar, and drinking it.

This specimen is anachronistic as to the story, but it is one sestertius:

Worth two and one-half asses, and worth ∞× Democrats.

Did Pliny write truly?  Was his historical account of this event even plausible?

Hmmm...  JONES, PRUDENCE J.  “Cleopatra's Cocktail.”  The Classical World, vol. 103, no. 2, 2010, pp. 207–220.  JSTOR, www.jstor.org/stable/40599928.

Cleopatra’s Cocktail

Abstract:  Pliny the Elder’s account of Cleopatra consuming a cocktail of vinegar and a pearl in order to win a bet with Anthony was considered credible in the ancient world, but many modern scholars have relegated the anecdote to the realm of fantasy.  This paper identifies possible reasons for this skepticism, including the visual tradition of the story and the belief that increasing concentration always increases reaction rate.  Experiments reveal that, in the case of acetic acid and pearls, the concentration found in vinegar made from wine is ideal.

I am so rich in poetry that I cast pearls before swine.

Cleopatra was so rich that she cast pearls into wine.

So vitriolic am I, I will bathe that snack of goddesses in a cup of aqua regia, and make it my toast to the gods.  WITH PIZZA.  MUAHAHAHAHA!

I like things like onions, peppers, sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes, pepperoni, etc.

Go, Bitcoin, go!

This nonexistent cat is hungry for
PIZZA
