What are you guys using to mod the BIOS of the 570/580?
I have a few MSI 570's waiting for risers. I heard PolarisBiosEditor 1.4.1 doesn't work.

For my MSI gaming x 4G PolarisBiosEditor 1.4.0 worked good. You have to test all straps one by one to find the best 1:1500,1:1625,1:1750,1:2000,2:1500,2:1625,2:1750,and 2:2000

A few GPU tests Sapphire 5xx. A few successes, but one problem.

I use:

Asus Z270F Strix - Without any problems, 7 GPUs work or MSI Z270-A Pro 6 GPU ready, I have tried, I currently operate about 10 Rigs without problem (RX 4xx)

PolarisEditor by jaschaknack - https://github.com/jaschaknack/PolarisBiosEditor/tree/110aa3a5a0aeafe16bb0a96b53583e7e8e77999b
SRBPolaris - BIOS editor
AtiFlash 2,74
atikmdag-patcher-1.4.5
Wattool o.92 does not function

Sapphire 570 4GB Nitro+ Hynix - strap 1750 - 1100/2050/-96mv-gpu/+20powertarget = 29,3MHs @ cca 156 on the wall

Sapphire 570 8GB Nitro+ Hynix - Strap 1750 - 1100/2100/-96mvgpu/+30powertarget = 29,6MHs

Sapphire 570 4GB Pulse Elpida - strap 1750 - 1100/1910/-96mv-gpu/+30powertarget = 24MHs @ cca 150-160 on the wall

Sapphire 580 8 GB Pulse Hynix - strap 1750 - 1100/2150/-96mv-gpu/+30powetarget = 27,3MHs @ Here I do not know exactly, a little more than 570, No more than 170

Sapphire 570 4GB Mini Elpida - strap 1750 - 1110/2040/-96mvgpu/30+target = 26,3-26,4 @ 164w on the wall = 169 USD newegg very nice

Sapphire 580 8GB Nitro+ - Hynix - Strap 1750 - 1100/2200/-96mvGPU/50powertarget = 27,8MHs

Hynix on 570 is better then Hynix on 580. Hynix on 570 timing 7777 @ 1750 but 580 hynix 999 @ 1750 but i have to check this because the problem is two different time sets 1: 1750 and 2: 1750 each for another set of memories.

This is my tests, But I have a little problem. The signature for the modified bios driver is ok. But it does not work at the same time 570 with 580 on one motherboard.

If the 4x 570 works and re-sign the driver, the 580 runs but does not run 570.

Simply, it works either it or it. It does not work together.

Does anyone have any advice or idea?

Maybe a new Atipatcher?

These numbers raise a few eyebrows... Can you please perhaps check the memory markings physically on the following cards and maybe take photos of the numbers:

Sapphire 580 8GB Nitro+ - Hynix
Sapphire 580 8 GB Pulse - Hynix
Sapphire 570 4GB Pulse - Elpida
Sapphire 570 4GB Mini - Elpida

Sapphire 580 8GB Nitro+ - Hynix - Strap 1750 - 1100/2200/-96mvGPU/50powertarget = 27,8MHs

A simple copy of the 1750 strap and I got up to 29.6 MHs in dual mode DCR with ver 9.3 at defualt DCRI - memory frequency was 2130 MHz and didn't even try pushing higher but I think it would go to 2200 for above 30 MHs.

So you have some errors in those numbers mate. Please redo your tests. Possibly you didn't edit the right timings so your scores are basically default timings with overclock Smiley Expect much more from the 580 8gb cards. Please also tell us if the RX 580 Pulse radiator is bigger in size compared to its predecessor the Nitro without the +...

I have the same Sapphire 580 8GB Nitro+ - Hynix memory. Where do I find these memory straps to copy? Thanks for your help

Does the SAPPHIRE Pulse RX 580 8GB have Samsung memory?

Would love to know that too, otherwise I am about to pick up some gigabyte xtr aorus - they have samsung on it.

The one that i have has Hynix (Sapphire Pulse RX 580 8GB), but i get 30,2Mhash while GPU-Z shows power usage of 93W (i am trying to lower the Voltage at the time).
But i am Using Custom Timings, i found them in this forum, at page 9 or 10 i think, with these timings i could get 30,5 Mhash but i think this costs too much power with higher core clock speeds, so i lowered them a bit and i am Happy with 30,2Mhash.

Again, I have Sapphire RX580 Nitro+ 8gb Hynix memory. I am trying to get over 22.5. I have tried copying and pasting 1:1750 to 1:2000 which did not work.

I am pasting my strap values since it might be useful for someone

My Original 1750 strap

777000000000000022CC1C00106A6D4DD0571016B90D060C006AE70014051420FA8900A00300000 01B11333DC0303A17

and this is my original 2000 strap

777000000000000022CC1C0031F67E57F05711183FCFB60D006C070124081420FA8900A00300000 01E123A46DB354019

I would really be glad if someone who can get over 23 and has the same card and memory pastes their memory strap values and cpu/memory clock settings.

Thanks in advance

Your problem is that what you're posting is a Samsung strap. Not a Hynix strap. You're not using the Samsung straps with Hynix memories. Tweak the other set.

Thanks for your answer

Since I am new to this kind of thing, what do you mean by the other set? 2:1750 to 2:2000 or 1:1500 to 1:2000 or something else?

Thanks again

Your doing something wrong, I have this card at 29.5 MH @ 130 watts. Definitely the best bang for buck for the current 500 series line.

Yes, something wrong.

For cards that do not work as well as others, try the strap again. A few people have already said that Nitro+ 580 has much better results, I probably did not do a good strap.

Btw for all: on the wall = value from the meter in the socket, which contains 10% power loss, motherboard + cpu + disk consumption, little loss of cable resistance.

Table of efficiency
https://www.pcper.com/files/imagecache/article_max_width/review/2016-01-16/28-80Plus-Chart.gif

160w on the wall = cca 17,6w psu loss = 142,4 - 119w per card = 23,4 system consum

However, my findings. Afterburner absolutely does not respond to the Sapphire voltage setting. That's why I have so bad consumption results. Afterburner writes about 115-119w on the card.

But for example, the MSI 570 Armor 4g responds perfectly Smiley, 95w / 27-28MHs. 130-135w on the wall. I need to fine-tune the afterburn settings or try the Sapphire trixx.

Ok I lied, thats not the best card...check out this one I just got in (GPU1 in Claymore)...100 watts at the wall on a -275mv offset!!! Cheesy

I guess these really do have way better silicon.

Howd you increase voltage offset from -100mV AB max to up to -275mV if you don't mind me asking?

RX570 4gb gigabyte aorus & RX570 4gb sapphire pulse
= same RAM (hynix) same performances (29-29.5Mh/s) @ 2050mhz
Better quality fabrication for aorus but cost more

RX580 8gb sapphire pulse (hynix ram too)
I tried all straps  (1:1500/1625/1750, et 2:1500/1625/1750/2000), can't get more than 27Mh/s .. need a solution !

Can someone make a topic for all 4GB cards in the 500 line confirmed to be able to do 28+ ETH?

And when I say confirmed I mean 100% confirmed Smiley Maybe in a new topic.
