Thank you for clarifying that for me Smiley

I was wondering if there would be a rate where derp stabilised and no longer increased.

I am looking to get more so my  hash rate will slowly increase but for now it is a pretty sad contribution 😂

You guys are so friendly and welcoming! Thank you!

Welcome!

You are contributing and that's good. The more people contributing hashes, the better.  Grin

As per the solo pool, I will be updating the pool's bitcoin daemon to 0.15 based code soon. Unfortunately this is quite a substantial update that updates the UTXO database on moving from 0.14 which incurs some downtime for the bitcoin daemon. I will be setting up a failover bitcoind to handle the downtime of the bitcoin daemon but in the process I will need to restart the pool. The downtime of the actual pool should be minimal.

Wink The same as on the solo Pool, the Miner didn't notice the downtime at all.
Impressive!

I'll be restarting the pool shortly for the bitcoind upgrade and post when it's complete. There should be minimal pool downtime.
Restart complete uneventfully in preparation for the bitcoind upgrade which should happen without affecting miners.

All pool restarts were completed yesterday and the customised bitcoin daemons were all updated seamlessly. https://poolbench.antminer.link/ confirms ckpools are still the fastest updating full validating pools. To perform any better on that benchmark we'd have to be the ones finding blocks, so let's all find some blocks shall we?

Party's already underway and more guests are always welcome. The more the merrier the party.

Hashrate looks to have doubled on the pool. Woot!
We definitely have a bit more hashrate, but the doubling unfortunately appeared to be transient rentals again. It looks more like 850TH now. Still very small but as always good things come to those who wait.

A grow of 100% is not bad, even our hashrate is "little" compared to other pools.
But if we grow 100% per Month we will catch up the other pools some time.

Stable growing is the best we could achieve.

Thank you all stable miners!

No sorry. I cannot confirm any such change and to force that sort of change would require a pool hack and restart. Anyone could lay claim to anyone's address doing what you asked. Without a signed message from the original address I cannot do that.

No it's not sorry. As I said it's a massive change to pool code to fix just one address of yours and without a message signed with your private key there is no way to confirm you're the owner of that key even with old posts from the forum. it's no different to withdrawing money from an exchange with your address; they would never give you the money to a new address without you confirming you're the owner of the old address. This is no trivial thing you're asking.

Maybe a little Ionic / Angular / Firebase app would be an easy way to let users log in with secured access and adjust things like their wallet address?  Then payout could, ideally, access whatever address they currently have associated with their email.  Would require some massive changes to the back end I'm sure, seems like all user storage is done off wallets right now, it would have to turn into something more like 'firebase user auth ID' etc.  Which breaks anonymous usage so... not a perfect fix, but maybe the two could find a way to co-exist (like if the account has been signed up, the ID field is their auth ID... but if they have not signed up, the ID is their wallet address, etc).

Would ruin the fact that this ckpool is all inclusive as one application that does everything end to end in the simplest fastest way possible as one can see from the public git of the code in use as is.

Just got through the full thread, WOW!  Tons of work into this.

I just got a USB stick running to play with mining, and while pointed at the ckpool the CG miner has popped up with "2017-09-27 18:04:01] Stratum from pool 0 detected new block"

As that obviously was not a solve, what does the new block detected refer to?  Apologies if this is the wrong forum to ask in.

I've been offline for a while, hurricane Irma (no power for 5 days).. work and generally just busy. Nice to see the hashrate staying a bit more consistent. I still believe this pool will continue to grow and be successful! We'll be in the top 10 one day!  Welcome new pool miners big and small!

Shocked hope you are fine and not suffer from any damage caused by this hurricane.
