Found these during a search:

http://www.globalconnectortechnology.com/connector/?series=BG050 - 2 row
http://www.globalconnectortechnology.com/connector/?series=BG055 - 1 row

Not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for but there seems to be no shortage of suppliers on ali-express anyway.
Great. Yes, the 2 row 4 contact one is the one. Hopefully they have stock and not 6 weeks lead time. I've saved that for when I have some time.

The other one is a 3 pin horizontal smd pin header. Drawing here,

Found these guys: http://www.toby.co.uk/content/catalogue/products.aspx?series=SRx-xxx-H135-02-55
Again it seems like a pretty generic part so it shouldn't be too hard to source from China or TW.
Hope it helps  Smiley

Thanks. I'm sure it's around but neither Mouser or Digikey had either of these and I just didn't have time to go digging further - at least not until I found out 4UConn was going to need 6 weeks. I'm sure there are distributors that have some stock.

Longer rows can be cut down easily as well. Sometimes only the 40 pin ones are stocked, and just clipping them into 3 pin units works ok.
edit: note those last ones wouldn't work as is due to locator pins. But if there are no better choices showing up then I can put holes on the final board so they fit. I didn't check which ones are in stock - as they have with and without pins. Pins for stress relief on SMD is probably a good idea anyway.

Samtec is the place to go for pin headers.  They have everything you're looking for.

In the Uk we use Farnell or RS components a lot..
I think through hole for these make more sense, if 4uconn stop selling or sell out, we are shafted a little atm..

Also, my assembly place asks if we can get Fiducials marks and full ident layer before boards is complete...their pick n place needs them....

[Group Buy#1] Avalon ASICs CHIPS! Using JohnK as escrow! FINISHED!

Brothers and Sisters of the Group Buy  please pledge more chips to BKKCoins asap.

Quote
All those supporting BKK please let me know and we can all support the shipping cost equally. Please give us a wallet address for shipping costs for BKKCoins only Raging.... also  Noitev we can reimburse you later if you like as we all should really split that shipping cost fairly.

I pledge whatever amount of chips I am supposed to be allotted to BKKCoins and I will keep track in this post. Please tell us what the shipping costs to Thailand will be?

Pledged Chips to BKK

Bicknellski (540)
Noitev (592)
bigbeninlondon (20)
Vycid (128.21)
bassclef (95)
erschiessen (51.28)
Kushedout (300)
pierrejo (69.72)
SteveB (40)
dan99 (68.36)

Total 1904.57

1904.57 / 10000 chips = 0.190457

0.190457 x 30 =  5.71371 (6) sample chips

We need to PM BKKCoins and coordinate shipping ASAP he can actually use even 1 chip if possible right now. Anyone else pledging chips for BKKCoins do so soon and let others know about it so we can get him more.

Great news :  first 30 sample chips confirmed in EUROPE
30 samples were delivered... 20 samples are on its way to burnin... Unfortunately i was 2 minutes too late at the post counter so it will be taken tomorrow from that branch. This way sending via express didnt make sense anymore... so it should be with burnin the day after tomorrow... Smiley

I worked with antistatic workspace and pincette. I really hope i did everything correctly. Ill post later some pictures of the chips. They are really awful tiny.

The other chips i will package today after checking back with zefir.

[…] and yes, that is an ant on the board! Don't know how that happened as it was gone when I looked.

Ever see the movie "Pi"?

How many chips does BKK honestly need? Right now, I understand he needs some but I don't quite get why it's important to send him hundreds... It might be good if BKK could indicate how many test chips he wants / needs and then we can track the pledged numbers (add some for DOA and unexpected failures during testing).

On the K1 preliminary parts list, you list SL02-GS08, which is a 1.1A, 20V part but in the value section, you list it as 1A, 30V.
Was this a mistype or did you accidentally indicate the wrong part?

That's the right part. I just copied the current value inaccurately as it's just a guide in the parts list.
That part isn't strictly required and is there to improve efficiency (according to the datasheet, which I haven't tested yet).

Thanks! I'm just putting together a preliminary parts list.

I need to place another mouser order for some parts I'm short. They'll arrive in time for K16 and sample testing and I have bitcoins but not enough USD available due to FC4B going down.

If someone can help with arranging a sale or buying some bitcoin for ACH or PP, please PM me. I need about $100 USD for btc, but it would need to be someone I've had some contact with here and trust not to reverse it on PP.

Thx.
