So, has anyone gotten any confirmations that the chips are definitely on the way? Or is it a speculation at this point.

sorry, this is a little late and I'm sure you've already made your choice, but the comment about "I don't care about power $ or noise" prompted me to drop my 2 cents in here... I just recently bought one of these seasonic 1000W platinum PSU's and I absolutely love it so far (will have to wait 7 years to see if it out-lives its warranty, lol) For me, $ was also not an issue, and this is not a cheap PSU, so I'm sure there might be a better value for the dollar. But when considering the cost and availability of a power supply vs the kind of hardware we are powering, it does not make sense to me to skimp on a PSU... Also, heat and efficiency (they kind of go hand-in-hand) are a big deal for me, and this PSU is simply excellent in that regard. I cannot recommend any other PSU as highly as this one. If anyone has an opinion of a better 1000W (or higher) PSU, please bring it to my attention. Thanks. On this page I saw that this PSU has no 6-pin PCI-E connectors which are needed to power K16. Or did I miss if it's somehow possible to make a 6-pin out of 8-pin? Yes, those 8 pin connectors with the * beside them are all 6+2 connectors and can be used for 6 or 8 pin needs. You should be able to power up to 6 devices that require pci-e power provided it doesn't exceed the rated 83 amps or 996 W draw on the 12V rail.

Visiting Terrahash this Monday around 10:00am PST.
You mean coming Monday? Can you ask to see their assembly line where they will be putting together chips and boards? Because if they are sticking by their two weeks turnaround, the assembly line better be ready by now as chips are incoming. Take pictures of the chips that would truly impress me if you get 40k there, or even 20k. Yes take pictures of the chips that they don't have yet. That would impress me too!! <geez>

I setup a coinbase account, which dumps into an empty online savings account with 0.85% interest for this.
Does anyone know the terms of the terrahash hosted mining?
I'd love to know.
I might just call and have them change it to ship, run it off my old netbook I don't use anymore. (Probably could put it in the basement, yay wifi)

If I did mine with it myself instead of hosting, a few things come to mind. What do you guys plan on using for a case? I have 1 64 chip board. I might just build something. What do you plan on using for cooling? I might use a small house fan. 9 inch should do it. I have an old netbook (n280, 2 gigs of ram, ocz ssd) Is a netbook appropriate for the job? I'd let the screen sleep, but never the netbook itself. It's only wireless G, though I do have a wireless N network, with a 50 megabit down, 10 megabit up connection. I wonder if I could hide it at work somewhere

I wonder if I could hide it at work somewhere a lot of folks are planning on making something with legos, etc. I am using jdapes adapters + an old pc case. any small fan or a couple pc case fans should do. if a raspi can do it your netbook will be fine. mining does not require a lot of bandwidth, your wifi G should be more than enough. edit: adapters thread is here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=246638.0

Don't some people have apartments with electricity included in the rent? Places like that are begging to be mining stations

Since we are quickly approaching the delivery date of our orders, I thought I'd let you guys in on where I'm purchasing needed supplies to complete my 30+ board K16 miner. I'm not sure if we can daisy chain more than 20, but I'm going to try. If not, I'll use a second PC. There are a lot of people selling these same parts at premium prices on eBay and I want to make sure everyone is getting the best deal possible. 6pin PCIe Y splitter-- $0.98 each Outletpc.com: http://www.outletpc.com/jp1932.html4pin 2x molex to PCIe 6pin-- $0.98 each Outletpc.com: http://www.outletpc.com/c6652.html 2" #4-40 hex standoffs (spacers between boards)-- $1.10 for 10 pack Grainger.com: http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/Hex-Standoff-6RU617/8" #4-40 hex standoff (feet for board stacks)-- $.045 for 10 pack Grainger.com: http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/Hex-Standoff-6RB987/8" #4-40 hex standoff (tops for board stacks)-- $1.30 for 10 pack Grainger.com: http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/Hex-Standoff-6RU49120mm Cooler Master Silent Case fan 4 pack-- $12 a pack http://www.amazon.com/Tripp-Lite-SRW6U-Enclosure-Cabinet/dp/B003K1NFY4/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1374641041&sr=1-1&keywords=tripp+lite+server+6uSeasonic SS-1250XM 1250 Watt PSU-- $254 (new), $165-$190 (used) http://www.amazon.com/Seasonic-SS-1250XM-X-Series-Power-Supply/dp/B00607JLWU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1374640872&sr=8-1&keywords=seasonic+1250**Awesome PSU. I use these in my 4x 7950 miners. The best. Tripp Lite 6U wall mount Server Cabinet 14"x17"x23"-- $155 http://www.amazon.com/Tripp-Lite-SRW6U-Enclosure-Cabinet/dp/B003K1NFY4/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1374641041&sr=1-1&keywords=tripp+lite+server+6uI'm thinking of running the miner with a Raspi. The entire system (including PSU, Raspi, and fans) will fit inside this cabinet. If there is a 20 board daisy chain limit, I'll still place them all in this cabinet. Then I'll add a 2nd Raspi. I just ordered all of the components. Looking forward to our delivery date!

Are you sure that the 2" standoffs between boards are going to be long enough? Does anyone know the dimensions of a K16 board with the heatsink attached?

On someone's next visit, can they please ask about order status updates on their website and what they plan on doing with answering tickets more regularly as it appears they go unanswered for most?
I've sent a couple tickets in, on my status still showing as "Refunded" when it was not (obviously due to cancelled paypal chargeback) and would like to have that updated. I think another person posted the same issue, but it was resolved. I thought I read some other related issues with bank transfers, but those may have been resolved.
Obviously not a critical issue, but since I'm not getting a response, was hoping to see if someone there could resolve face to face. My travel schedule doesn't take me out West for a few months.
Will donate to those that made visits once I'm mining with the DX Large. Thanks!

Yeah same situation. Been emailing for weeks now with no response and no one ever answers the phone. Kinda just assuming they actually check more than the status before anything ships out? (Hopefully)

Sure, if anyone wants to gather a quick list of questions I have no problems asking them.
I don't particularly need donations but if one insists....
Seconded on the tickets. Also, if you can find out the dimensions of the heatsinks that we will get, I'm sure that will help a few of us decide how to put it all together
