Why is everyone so fixated on the price? The coin is not even done with it's distribution yet.  We are literally only a few months in.  People these days expect to be millionaire overnight.  Totally unrealistic and no patience.

Some of us are both traders and hodlers.

I hodl one big part, but using price movement to get even more onions.

The more movement of price (up/down/up/down) there is, more will people trade, and it will seems as if everyone is fixated on price

DeepSend is one of the technologies to be added as mentioned in the roadmap. I also remember reading coin obfuscation will also be added to enhance the anonymity and privacy features of Deep Onion.

The new website is indeed impressive, I just check it out, I also like the interface of the new wallet. I have not move over to the new wallet bcause I want to get it right

I agree the web site is very cool and he made a bunch of videos which were impressive as well! He has done a lot for deeponion! I love to see how much people are doing to help this project!

Have you declared the fresh nodes in the .conf file ?

If you use windows, check your firewall too and authorize deeponion.exe.

I have downloaded the wallet, the .conf file from the official deep onion page and it started sync in few seconds, so it works, maybe your firewall is blocking it.

FYI, you can directly download the blockchain https://mega.nz/#!MuRiwKZJ!SADDDIgluXF9GXPJlvfW7lj1aoRP6GKfrqec0_966f4 (MEGA), which is updated till 12 Oct 2017; so, it should not take much time to sync now if somebody trying to sync afresh.

Many will sell earlier and there will not be any big price changes on 40th airdrop.
Much of it depends on marketing at a later stage of the project, but I think it will get a price in time.
I certainly do not plan to sell coin for a year.

I agree with your outlook but price/volume is a good indicator of more and more people taking notice of DeepOnion.  Ultimately, adding to our community is our runway to greater things so thats why price/volume is important now despite you and I having no intention of selling our Onions.

With the fluctuating coin releases (due to airdrops), the ability to get free coins (from airdrops), current bounties etc... I think price is a far too unstable / improper measure of interest.

A correct metric would be the social activity - Official forums, airdrop participants or even this thread.

Agreed! The volume is very low at the moment but we need to consider the fact we are only listed at Novaexchange for now. Nothing against Nova but I'm sure a lot of people are interested in DeepOnion but are waiting until we are listed elsewhere to buy. (I'm not even sure if Nova is taking new signs up at the moment?)

I'm not worried at all about the current low volume/price.
