I think it would depend on how many we buy.  For example if we buy 5 we get one free.  As a suggestion we would sell the 1 free unit and refund the proceeds evenly back to the purchasers of the units.  So the cost per unit to the participants could be less than that if we sold the free unit for the price we paid for the others.

And these units start shipping on 8/25.

is it better to buy D3 miners on Amazon or ebay? thanks
You can be scammed on either but I feel like it is less likely on Amazon. There is a poster in here, Cryptocrane, who is highly reputable. He sells on Amazon. I have had excellent experience dealing with him. He is fair and honest. Overpriced, but I can't blame him for that. It's what the market will bare.

yeah, but not many units available. those who failed to pay with BTC/LTC or some retards who park 50 units non-payment, these are those left-overs.

You should think of it as 6 units total at a 5 unit price, that way, everyone's part is lesser from the start, then having to deal with reselling and reimbursements later.

Has anyone noted the rise in difficulty between 15/Jul and 15/Aug? It's almost 3x!

https://www.coinwarz.com/difficulty-charts/dash-difficulty-chart

Assuming another doubling by 15/Sep and again by 15/Nov etc?  Oct/Nov batch ROI will be pushed back significantly I assume.

Probably better to wait for next gen X11 miner...

50 GH/s+ miners by December by Bitmain/Pinideas/Other maybe?

Now I'm wishing I had bought more in October. The October / September batches will do very well.

Thanks for the suggestion on the 6th unit.  At the moment there seems to be a communications gap and we are not getting the info we requested from them so I am starting to have my doubts this will get off the ground.  We are still trying to get them to give us a date the Batch 2 miners will ship.  Without a date we can NOT really place a value on what these miners are worth.  The later they ship the lesser their value.

So far they keep giving us the same dates as previous which applies only to batch 1 which is sold out.

Yeah. Took months to arrive. And as they say bitmain releases used units when they have newer one.

It is more than prudent to assume that the DASH difficulty by October will be right around 6M. With a 6m difficulty, 15k Ghash, 1200 watts at .07 cents per kw you will make $500.00 per unit per month. If you pay $1,500.00 per unit USD that's not terrible BUT, it will likely continue to get worse from there. The X11 Algo is about to go through something that as far as I know is unprecedented. Massive Hashing power coming to the network with limited options to mine. In addition, there is room for technological improvement from 28nm. Can you say "perfect storm"? I would tread carefully. Too many people getting on one side of the boat for my comfort level.

It means your payment has fell short by $ 57.5 due to bank fees or something and you will have to pay the balance using BTC/LTC and you will receive a email with payment wallet address. Instead of waiting for email its better if you open a ticket and offer to pay balance using BTC/LTC.

There is a lot of speculation like this whenever bitcoin or litecoin machines come out. I believe most people will get return on interest and then can mine the coins for as long as they want. I bet future batches will be very rough though, but maybe the bitcoin holders will try to diversify and push the price up. Who knows really. It could also be a perfect storm of failure say some companies realize the specs of their machines are worse than advertised or they get out competed.
