Lets say that average new smartphone has around 3000mAh battery. Have they allready tested battery consumption for lets say 10 hours of mining? Also, there will be a problem when you are connected to wifi and you power charger, there might be some overheating of your device.

keep my eye on this project.

mobile mining? what's the algorithm

THERE IS NO MOBILE MINING!!
therefore what they so call TWIN ALGO is just a BS!!

read the thread below carefully for dev-team not even dare to show up to tell you all the truth!

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2065043.msg22078268#msg22078268

My understanding is it simulates mining. So therefore no resources used on your phone. They just look at the specs of your phone and you get tokens based on that. It is essentially still mining, just a simulation of it. As long as you get tokens for using it that is what mattters. Better to mine like this than melt your phone.

The actual mining will be on PC’s.

Is this actually correct? Just asking. But if it is correct, then it would be much more convinced of the system really being sustainable.

Yes it is correct.

A question about 'mobile mining':

I understand from the whitepaper that it is just a simulated mining and I imagine that the coins you get for your 'mobile mining' have to come from
(A) a pool of pre-mined coins or
(B) someone has to mine them with 'real mining' (as in generation of new blocks and adding them to the chain) and distribute them to the mobile miners.
Is it A or B?

In case of A, is it the pool of unsold coins "bonus pool" in the whitepaper? What happens if you sell all of the pre-mined coins in the ICO?

In case of B: Who is doing that job? For how long ...

Neither A or B

The mobile miners are still mining coins.

It's not just premining a bunch of coins and handing them out to the mobile miners via the game. There is a twin algo with a centralized processor that allows them to mine mobile without burning up their phone.

The bonus pool you are asking about amoumts to only 20 million  put aside for bounties out of 6 billion coins in the ICO, and amounts to less than .00095% of all coins. There is zero premine for the devs.

Contraband which is it? Are you mobile mining or just simulating? Where do the coins come from if its just a simulation?

The app is rewarded coins for running the twin algorithm, which means it gets allocated a certain number of coins, determined on how much power the phone can allocate to the mobile mining experience. That means, less apps running, a larger return from it.

Afaik, the blockchain generates a small tax allocating it to the mobile mining expeirence, which gets bumped up by the pool of unsold coins, to further incentivize people to run it.

The mobile mining checks your phone and sees how much processing power you would have if your phone were to try and actually mine the blocks at that time.

The amount of stress put on your phone is similar to that on your phone loading a wikipedia page.

It doesnt run out the battery or "make your phone hot"

It is in the technical white paper, and I posted the section from it a few pages back.

They call it a mining experience because your phone isnt powering the blockchain, or it would heat up, drain the battery, and cause it to age very fast. But NONE of those things happen here.

Simulation is not the word I would use only because everyone associates it with fake. The plane simulation, for example, you are not really in the air, or a police training simulation they may be firing "blanks".

Simulation is a good word because it does describe what really is occuring, but in THIS "simulation" you are still 30,000 feet in the air, and the bullets in the police training are real bullets, just as you are getting REAL cryptocurrency and not pretending you are.

SCAM ALERT !!

Imogen D:
SCAM ALERT!
Hi all!
It has been brought to our attention that there have been a number of individuals trying to sell or send you their wallet address/QR code via social media/Ebay/etc-Please be advised this is NOT #Electroneum official. Anyone found to be Scamming in the name of Electroneum WILL be reported.

Blockchain will be release in Novemder 1-st? When will be release mobile app for mining?

App is already released in Android and iOS is finished and Apple already checked it out and we are at the final approval stage.

All we need now is to show we have volume on an exchange, and it will be approved.

We come out of the gate with Cyyptopia, Yobit, Evercoin at launch Nov 1 and Bittrex in Nov

Where i can test android app?
You sure about Bittrex? They didnt accept any tokens from summer. You have any arragements with them about listing?

The fact that they're  honoring the 40% is amazing, that's the sort of thing that lets you know this isn't a scam. It's a legitimate project, most token sales wouldn't do such a thing for their users.

Very professional!

Hey Guys, I opted in at 40% finally since I started reading up on it only at the last day of 50% bonus. Nevertheless im happy and more comfortable after im done with my research. But just a thought, Enjin is also coming up with a coin which is geared towards their already active 18mil users using their platform, So is UniKoin. I just want a perspective on how do we differentiate all these offerings or would spreading our bets over these few reputed ICO do the trick when it comes to ICOs targeting the gaming community? Which coins have the max potential? Sharing your thoughts would help.

That’s great that you invested in Electroneum! I believe this is a great project and their community is growing quickly.
All the coins you mention have different demographics of who they are targeting but with all due respect to the Electroneum team we need to keep their thread about their project. Cheers to you and everyone else who have contributed to Electroneum! 😃👍
