Yeah, sadly I missed the boat on LTC.  Almost bought into it way back when it was at $4 but didn't then could never pull the trigger since I kept thinking back to that $4 mark... even when it was at $10 and $20.  Same myopic thinking that has kept me out of IOTA... was super close to buying about $1k worth while at .33 cents (only 2 weeks ago) but got side-tracked and next thing i know it's at .90 cents, so I figured too late, I missed the boat... only to see it now pushing $5 and #4 total market cap coin... although now LTC has passed it. Oh well... hindsight is 20-20 lol.

On the mining front, I think i am finally done mining ETN.  Yeah, it's been #1 supposedly for profit on rx 470s for some time now but in reality, it's not because of all the issues with that network. I just tried my 4th pool and my 3 day returns were only 41% of what the mining calculators say. not only that but I suspect that ETN price will tank once the ICO wallets are activated, so i pointed those 2 rigs back onto XMR... which is right now pushing hard to hit $300! 

Still checking the big sites daily for the new round of Vega's to come in. Seems like it should be any day now. I need 2-3 more to complete a killer Cryptonote rig.

I recently hopped on ETN with my RX rigs.  Haven't had many problems using Nanopool.  May switch back to XMR though.

What do people use to set power limits and clocks for NVidia cards on Windows system startup (to set it all automatically before mining starts)? I'm using Afterburner to fiddle with the settings -- though I would much prefer a program with a "normal" user interface instead of the gaming skins. Also would be nice to be able to enter the numbers directly instead of using the finicky Afterburner sliders where I never seem to be able to hit the exact number I want to

Anyway, maybe there is something simple to set it all once I got all my parameters, run it from a batch file or similar?

Also, how can one ensure that the power limits for the cards never get reset during operations (as the total power draw would be too much then)?

It doesn't look like it but you can click on the numbers and type them in instead of using the sliders! I agree the 'gaming' skins are clunky and not well suited to mining. I'd love to be able to see and edit all the cards settings without having to click each one and adjust. And see all the temps at a glance.

This works on Afterburner 4.4.0 via commandline so I assume it can be called with a bat file:

It installs the miners, lets you switch profiles which control coin/pool (and set an afterburner profile), tracks pool profits, does alerts for hashrate per card or total, temperature, offline etc. and costs the same as smos. Has mobile apps too. Excuse the ad but I find it super useful. Though it doesn't give you the stability of linux and ability to run off a usb stick.

Ill look into this, do you have to install it on every rig? Im working on tool of my own
that is a stand alone app for just updating all rigs, reboting, changing miners and pools, starting stopping differnt batch files for differnt alogs as a stand alone app.

I dont like the idea of installing something every damn rig, I prefer an app that can read ips from a list
and do its thing.

uses a 21 by 21 inch plywood board.
the red foam from the mobo packing to lift board  and prevent static discharges
some stainless steel brackets to hold the corsair hx1200i psu
two scythe fans for cooling  the three center cards

I have asus 1080ti ----msi 1070ti ----evga 1070ti ---  msi 1070 ti -------------  waiting on a msi 1080 ti

i used some plastic washers from the hardware store to lift the mobo from the wood frame, then used wood screws through the mobo mounting holes to secure it. i do need to figure out a better way to secure the psus instead of zip ties though
