I still have 5 rigs of  RX gpus I dont know if i should swicht those to mining BTG directly or move them to  nicehash , I still need to download the claymore miner for all those and get them set up so might as well strategize properly

any thoughts ?

how many sols do you have  on nicehash  now?

and how many sols  would the five rigs do?

i have 25k sols right now, from my 4 card vega rig
my 7 1080tis
and 42 1070s

I have six rigs 7 to 6 rx 500 cards and
4 rigs of fury nanos that i am trying to get setup for zcash
wish i had listen to citronik and set them up

at 280 sols per card around 24k sols if i get the nanos setup too

those Nanos can push 390-420 sol/s per card -- so let them join the fun!

looks like I have to completly blow away the blockchain drivers and re-install

also now i remebver why i stopped mining ZEC before when Zcash came out, the claymore miner is crazy unstable on 50% of my rigs , constant reboots , its not a power issue becase most of these rigs were dual mining eth and DCR
which used more power , I hate this miner

many good ZEC miners out there, my fav is Optiminer v1.7 under smOS -- very stable under Linux

I had set my miners up so they would mine on NH until the main Suprnova pool came online. They switched nicely over when it happened. The frenzy has now completely disappeared, and the coin has lost another 30% of its value. I'll keep mining it for a few days, see what happens... But seeing what a shitshow this launch was, my hopes are not high!

good thing i got a nap in earlier you were right nanos are strong equihash miners 440 hs with 100mv undervolt, its a long proccess downgrading the drivers though, going forward i think  ill just leave them on equhash , seems to use alot less power toool even less than ny modded bios

All my Nanos -- 45 of them are modded with Heliox (aka Eliovp) ROMs - tamed at 100mv.
The were king during the early ETH days with R-390s but Nanos are blessed with HBM v1 thats why its a good Equihash miner.
Now VEGAs also wth HBM v2..... how do they fare in Equihash? I heard nothing but bad press.... but strong in Cryptonite algo.
That is too much money for HBM v2 only for strong Cryptonte mining....

Pretty sure I read somewhere the Vegas push 500-ish sol/s in Equihash. Nothing spectacular but still quite decent if that info is to be believed.

Oh man I'm in hell. So Amazon had Vega 56's in stock with 1 day shipping and I had a bunch of 0% interest free on my store card so I snagged 4.

I have been trying to set this up ALL DAY LONG. Windows utterly refuses to see all 4 cards. Linux dies with the newest drivers and just generally does not seem to run with Vega even though I've found plenty of reports saying it does.

I'm using an MSI M5 which I have confirmed supports 8 RX 570s.. but Vega so far has been a nightmare.

From my experience:
with windows vegas are finicky and sometimes you'll have to uninstall the blockchain driver with DDU, then install it again for the card to become 'workable'.

On Linux 16.04, you need newest amdgpu-pro driver and sometimes some extra work, although i am not sure that vega's would work-did not try (580s work fine).

Finicky isn't the word I would use. They're an abomination. The AMD drivers are so unbelievably buggy and unstable that I cannot believe this is the case months after release. Simply throwing a single VEGA into a normal computer causes tons of issues!

Tired of shitty ICOs, unprofessional teams, pointless projects?

I still have 5 rigs of  RX gpus I dont know if i should swicht those to mining BTG directly or move them to  nicehash , I still need to download the claymore miner for all those and get them set up so might as well strategize properly

any thoughts ?

how many sols do you have  on nicehash  now?

and how many sols  would the five rigs do?

i have 25k sols right now, from my 4 card vega rig
my 7 1080tis
and 42 1070s

I have six rigs 7 to 6 rx 500 cards and
4 rigs of fury nanos that i am trying to get setup for zcash
wish i had listen to citronik and set them up

at 280 sols per card around 24k sols if i get the nanos setup too

those Nanos can push 390-420 sol/s per card -- so let them join the fun!

looks like I have to completly blow away the blockchain drivers and re-install

also now i remebver why i stopped mining ZEC before when Zcash came out, the claymore miner is crazy unstable on 50% of my rigs , constant reboots , its not a power issue becase most of these rigs were dual mining eth and DCR
which used more power , I hate this miner

many good ZEC miners out there, my fav is Optiminer v1.7 under smOS -- very stable under Linux

good thing i got a nap in earlier you were right nanos are strong equihash miners 440 hs with 100mv undervolt, its a long proccess downgrading the drivers though, going forward i think  ill just leave them on equhash , seems to use alot less power toool even less than ny modded bios

Ihave a few vegas and they do around 500 ish sols , not sure on how to tune them for more, this is all srock settings

yeah but.... my 1070 Mini (not ti) can already do 550 sol/s easy with minuscule power.... and 1070 $ is cheaper than Vega$

yeah the zotac mini is a good card but  i don't think  it does 550 sols?

I can't get any 1070 to do 550 sols

yeah i have some zotac minis i bought back when they were $340 ish and they do 420 sols max and thats pushing the power limit on them which i hate to do.

my super star 1070s , some zotac and ftw cards can get 470 h/s with 75 percent power never pushed any nvidia card past 75

Must be a typo. My 1080's do 550 sol/s @ 80% TDP.

Bottomline is that for almost the same price,
Vega56 (IF it works...) does massively better than 1070's on Cryptonight
Vega56 does better than 1070 on ethash
Vega56 does better than 1070 on equihash
nVidia is about to get pwned on Myr-Groestl and Skein by Baikal (arguably there'll be more in the future) hash.

For me, that's enough algos and coins to favour Vega. Trust me, I would prefer to go for an nVidia build (they're a lot nicer to deal with), but the 1070's are too weak and the 1070Ti's are just more efficient, they hardly add a lot of dollar per day. Even a rig of 1080Ti's will not match the equivalent Vega56 rig if you feed it Cryptonight to munch on currently...

I have managed 1070s Zotac Minis 550sols/s -- however during testing because I was playing around with the PL and clock speed after reading a post on overclocking 1070 especially the Zotac ones. Currently at normal optimum settings around 430-440 sol/s at NH/Equihash.

I have a 111 sol/s NH rental mining BTG at Suprnova. Pools est 111k sol/s gives 3.8 coins per day.
If the price stay above 200$, i think this is worth mining for long term. Also Suprnova seems on top of things while the rest of the BTG pools literally crashed and burned just managing the incoming Equihash traffic. Hope they will be more reliable pools in the future with anonymous mining features.

Btw..... I have 10 x X10s coming soon -- no haters plz -- I cant control what my group wants to mine..... these miners are coming to the warehouse in Dec. With this said.... we have decided to forgo a plan to have a Cryptonite farm with Vega56. We have already got a quote from Sapphire distributor to supply 140 x Vega54. Frankly, I objected to the plan and wanted a 1070ti farm instead for BTG mining. Anyways, long story short.... the compromise was the X10. And in protest.... I purchased my own 1070tis.

I've re-targeted my RX 570 rigs to ETN now. No upside in mining BTG for them anymore. I leave my 1080 rig on it for now however. See how it fares. Difficulty keeps rising...

ETN is Cryptonite, so the lower power consumption is a bonus.

However, ETN is only trading in Cryptopia and to mine ETN is for long game.

I ordered 2 X10s as well wish i could have ordered more, but I'm not ordering any more until i get the first set and see that they work as advertised.  1070tis are probbaly the best card mining BTG and I prefer to mine BTG going forward as compared to ETH since
ETH ends anyways and the block reward nerf.  I think BTG is the new main stream coin that we will be looking to , Vegas mine it very well too but they are a pain the set up.

If i make a nice chunk next few weeks with my 50k rented sols I'll buy some 1070tis as well to focus on BTG and some more X10s , I also have alot of other asics coming 4 trashcan D3s and 5 s9s so I'm tapped out  anyways going forward.
I will focus on BTG going forward though with VEGAs and 1070Tis

What ETN pool do you use?
In my experience, a few that I tried were not very good-going OK for few hours or a day, then get down due to something (ddos?).

BTG-black hole mining for now, they need to get a hold of their doings. I mined there for 4-5 hours, got no info on where it all went.
The pool provided a link for stats-there is nothing in the link, LOL.

I am still pointed to nicehash equihash

my miners are up  from 12 a day to 15 a day for 5 1080ti's

good enough but I would like it to improve.

That's a slick SHA256 miner Phil.

For once, someone is nibbling on Bitmain.

Price wise this is also competitive.

Only downside I see is the 2kw requirement.

Out of the many BTG pools listed in their official website.... only a handful are working.... EPIC fail.

But then again..... I recall the Ethereum mainnet cutover circa mid-2015 wasn't a picnic too.

Suprnova currently owns nearly 70% of the global hash at the moment.... with 18K+++ workers !!!

Suprnova = Pool Hashrate: 59242373.72 MSol/s
Global Hashrate: 86174644.06 MSol/s
