Love the video Phil - My bedroom looks like your garage - not in terms of rigs just in terms of I don't have a bedroom, it's more like an office/warehouse lol.

I couldn't help it, I haven't moved into the new warehouse yet but decided to build one of the 1070 TI's - these things I am in love with - running it in my bedroom as all panels in the garage are fully loaded.

ASUS Prime z270-A
G4400
4gb
EVGA 1600w P2 Overkill but I have a few of them laying around so why not.

Doing about 4.4 Sol/W

6th Card I installed on one of my 5 card 1080 TI's already, didn't feel like detaching it.

what's nice is the water blocks are quiet.

I am close to capped out in the garage.

19-20 amps on a 30 amp pdu.

it is fused and tends to blow fuses around the 22 amp mark.

I have an 8 card  rig ---------   7x 1070ti hybrid's and 1 1070 hybrid
I have a 7 card rig -----------    5 x 1070ti hybrids and 2   1080 ti hybrid
I have a 5 card rig  just built-   2 1080 ti, 2 1070 ti,  1 1070
I have a 4 card rig ------------- 2x 1070 water block 2x 1070 hybrid
I have a 4 card rig ------------- ryzen and 2 1070 ti hybrid and 2 hybrid 1080 ti
I have a  4 card rig ------------ 1 1070 hybrid 1 hybrid 1070 ti hybrid 2 1080 ti
I have a   1 card rig ------------ 1 1050 ti and 2 ltc mainlander sticks

so 33 cards pulling  say 4800 watts

I can not really do much more then this or it will overheat.

and I guess it is more then 17k worth of gear.

plus the solar array

and my friends office.

I think I have 40k in paid gear in the three locations.

The new solar array is moving along  we checked the property out and may  start some construction.

I can finally move stuff out of the garage  will be nice.

the red foam protects mobo from static I like this idea as my winter humidity drops under 30%

isnt that red foam anti static? if it is then its mildly conductive, which gives it its anti static properties. not really recommended to be in contact with actively running electronics, although lots of people have done it.

i get no  readings on my meters when I test for conductivity . it reads open circuit

I've been wasting most of the day staring like a fool at the crazy BTC-ETH-LTC activity on GDAX. It's simply insane how much activity is flowing through just that 1 exchange! Then a few minutes ago it appears to have crashed. I know Coinbase is and has been actively working to increase their capacity but even with that, it appears they still cannot keep up with this craziness 100% of the time. \

edit: ok, it's back already lol. only about 5-6 minutes of down time Wink

I am at Gemini now. Also Binance and Bittrex.

If you are into short term trading, plenty of money to be made just going in and out the top 10 coins like BTC, ETH, LTC, DASH and BCH.

So I ordered 25 of the Onda 8 slot mobos.

I ordered spares, if anyone wants them I'm selling them for $170 shipped within Asia.

Originally I wanted the 4U prebuilt with this mobo but they are out of stock.

Just got another 10 x Colorful 8 slots and tossing k17 or k35 for another 10.

Anybody wants H81 pro btc mobos -- they are dirty, dusty and ugly - LOL

Just wondering how everyone who was selling hash to Nicehash is getting on a week later?

Personally I'm pointed at miningpoolhub now and using their autoexchange feature to convert to BTC. At the moment I'm just using whattomine to see what the most profitable coin to mine is with my 1x 1070 and 4x 1060s, then picking the best one that miningpoolhub supports. With my 2x Vegas and Ryzen 1700 I was mining ETN but the small pool I joined was having a rough time with large effort and then a stale block with near 300% effort (took 36 hours to find it!), so now they're pointed at XMR with miningpoolhub. Overall though my weekly profit is close to Nicehash's and thats including a lot of downtime!

Also have a 6 card Onda motherboard on the way for my next nvidia rig, will probably populate with 1060 3gbs for shortest ROI, considering 1070Tis but they are a lot more expensive when comparing sol per £.

Bleh... ETN down 35% today, along with my holdings and my mining estimates.

Oh well, switching the RX 570 and Vega rigs to XMR on Nanopool now. It's pretty profitable as well. Not sure what I should do with last week's ETN mining proceeds... Take the hit now and exchange to BTC or wait for them to recover? Hmmm... Choices, choices... Tongue

you can use the multi-algo ports so that MPH can choose the most profitable coins for you - this was you dont have to check whattomine all the time. From there you can also select what coin you want to be paid with - using MPH auto-exchange feature.

Thanks citronick, I've just started running Nemosminer, I assume this works in a similar way, possibly more user friendly?!

So last night after removing drivers, updating to the latest version, not having a screen boot with any cards, reinstalling windows, installing drivers again, turning on cards one by one, it appears the mobo now only wants to run with 5 cards and not 6.
Was happily running 6 before the issue, and now appears the PCI-E 8x just wont accept it, shows an unknown vga device in device manager.
Happens with any card I plug in that works in a different slot.
Any ideas what could be causing this?
Board is a gigabyte ga z87x d3h

nemosminer and mphminer by aaronspace, both works well MPH multi-algo ports - I recently took the farms off MPH and now mine directly for ZEC, ETH and XMR - due to their all time high. IMHO, 2018 will be another good year for us miners !

@moondoggie - will try out sniffdog on my test rig this weekend. thanks

What goes up must come down - that's the buy/sell pattern of any trading.... the difference with Bitcoin is that the pattern is very erratic because there is not enough liquidity in the market (ie. everything other coin by large is still paired/bought using Bitcoin). With new money (USD$) coming into the system, expect the wild swings to be tighter.... 2018 will be a good year for us miners, in my humble opinion.... expect 100K BTC easy.

Note: pump and dump will always be there, just like stock market, even more in crypto markets because its not fully regulated like stock trading etc. I think the only real threat to Bitcoin is .....

a. Bitcoin Cash

b. Privacy virtual currency

c. No adoption

d. Bitcoin her self...

Looking back now I wish I would have done the ICO on ETN, but I have pretty much stayed away from all ICO's.  I mined some to a paper wallet I figure I will sit on it and see what happens.

I think next big hurdle is get on more exchanges just being on 1 is not so good on adoption but it is very early still.   To make it on one of the bigger exchanges would be great.   Overall I am surprised to be honest it did not dip even more on price so far I thought more would be selling off once people got access to ICO coins.

VERY mildly conductive, commonly measured in megaohm / square inch ballpark.

Probably not an issue as isolation for a computer motherboard.

I wish MPH had a better page where I could monitor my rigs if I'm mining different coins unless I'm just not seeing it.
