They said „2 algos CAN be added easily“ not when or even if.  They said: 2 new algorithm will be added soon ! It was in october! Maybe soon is 2020? It's hard to tell with a baikal. "Soon" can be one year or never  |

Are you kidding? Are they really asking $3600 for a machine that earns $24 a day? After shipping the miners the profit will be even lower. They are getting more and more crazy... |

Yea, it's kind of weird how they promised 2 new algos, but all of a sudden, they release a new miner with exactly only 2 algos and is ready to be shipped in just 7 days.
So I am guessing that they have this miner/algo for awhile and decided to mine the 2 new algos themselves until profits go down hill and thought maybe, "Hey, we can just put 2 new algos on a new miner and sell it as a whole new machine for more money".
Because if they release 2 new algos for x10 miners through an update, they make no more money.
Baikal sure is all about greed.

Yea, it's kind of weird how they promised 2 new algos, but all of a sudden, they release a new miner with exactly only 2 algos and is ready to be shipped in just 7 days.
So I am guessing that they have this miner/algo for awhile and decided to mine the 2 new algos themselves until profits go down hill and thought maybe, "Hey, we can just put 2 new algos on a new miner and sell it as a whole new machine for more money".
Because if they release 2 new algos for x10 miners through an update, they make no more money.

Thats not how it works, monero would need a whole separate chip than the x10 because each thread needs 2MB of ram and the x10 would not have such ram. some have speculated that the next algorithm on the x10 will be nist5 |

I think it's all just a dream now of actually getting the 2 new algos. Apparently, they have plenty of time to develop 2 new miners, with total of 7 different algos between the Giant B and Giant N. But have no time to release 2 new algos for the Giant X10. One route makes them money, other route doesn't. |

Actually it is the other way around. The cryptonight algos were supposed to come for the Giant B based on the hidden Scripta pool entries. But they decided to release a new miner instead. By the way Baikal still has a lot of X10 for sale, and they can sell the surplus only if they make them more attractive for the buyers. |

Do you know the hashrate for nist5? ^ No, it was only example. It is for sure profitable for baikal self to mine with this algos. And they are not really intrested in selling of X10, this way is a price for the unit still so high. Baikal N is at present much profitabler than X10, why is the price only a half??? I am building my own FPGA rig and after a detailed analysis of all current algorithms, I can say that all algorithms will soon be mined by ASIC/FPGA except equihash and ethash. Equihash will fall to ASIC's in about 6 years when we can get 144MB of SRAM on a single chip. Ethash will not fall to ASICs ever, in my opinion. The 2GB scratchpad is just too big.
Cryptonight and Cryptonight-Lite are mildly ASIC resistant. This means that even a dedicated unit like the Giant-N cannot 'crush' GPU's. It can beat them marginally in terms of ROI. But for other coins, ASICs crush the GPU's by hundreds of times.

Many miners are not ordering from Baikal and just skipping the resellers due to the $700 to $1000 top up of resellers. Infact keeping in view volatile market the best thing would be that Baikal introduce pricing of $1200 to $2000 range and they can see huge sales. Baikal can get more business by introducing better pricing , for example I know many miners like me who cant buy Baikal because of MoQs and high price, remember the huge sales Baikal got once they introduced Giant X 10 for $1400 If they set miner pricing between $1200 to $1800 and remove MoQ They will see all miners sold out in a day or hours.
