Bitcoin is not gambling

I don't know why people say bitcoin is gambling. Its not gambling. You are investing your money and time. You use your internet. So its not gambling dealing with it.

Bitcoin is a currency.  You cant say money is gambling itself.  But if you invest your money and convert it into bitcoin,  now it is gambling.  Because you take a risk investing your money to a volatile currency hoping it would rise up in the coming days,  but you know it might also drop.  There is still win or lose in it,  so basically its still gambling.  The process is gambling,  not bitcoin itself.

According to my own analysis, converting money is called trading. Trading is different from gambling because trading is just buying but we know it risky but no bad on it, but in gambling it is like playing games or compete for chance to earn money.

Just as he just said, Investment or Trading can be associated to Gambling in such a way that you are risking something to earn more which is one of the definition of gambling. Gambling isn't only about games where you bet your money but could be everything where we risk something to be able to earn or have more of it. And other thing I agreed about on him is that bitcoin isn't gambling itself rather a currency online in other term a cryptocurrency.

Bitcoin is not gambling. But when you invest in it like you are playing a game. It can help you get rich or make you poor. There are many people who seek to gamble through Bitcoin and most of them find themselves losing money. Because it is hard for you to be able to eat others while it is not your money. So, I always encourage people to invest and trade Bitcoin in a healthy way. It does not help you get rich fast, but it will help you to be good.

Any type of trading is some form of gambling because it requires making predictions regarding probability.
The difference with trading digital assets like Bitcoin is that there is some potential inherent value of Bitcoin that may be undervalued or overvalued at any given time.

here it is clear that bitcoin is not part of gambling. bitcoin is an investment in digital form and needs to be remembered for investment can be disallowed as gold you buy cheap and sell it for a high price is clearly not gambling. this assumption I've heard before and I think they do not understand bitcoin but it's as if they understand the ins and outs of this bitcoin called lack of understanding of all things in bitcoin

i think what makes people have a thought about bitcoin feel like gambling are for example when someone just put $500 to buy bitcoin without any consideration just invest it to collect it in bigger value later. that's indeed sounds like speculative and a random choice. any investment that made by a random action for me could be considered as gambling but gambling itself basically are not form of gambling , it's just a volatile digital asset that not much people know yet about it .

Maybe someone says it's a gamble because it's falling and the price rises. That is a form of gamble because you can beat and win. But it's not a totaly gamble because it's like an investment that when the price goes up you will sell it and when the price falls you will buy it. The only way that you have a risk is that when you are free and without knowledge about getting in you, your first thoughts are negative

For me it is considered gambling because no one will ever know if the price is going up or down. We can only learn the game and increase our knowledge on it to have much better chance of winning. Of course knowing where to allocate funds, the amount of funds and doing the right thing in different situations make this much more fun then gambling.

For me I condemn gambling but I enjoy trading even thou it is still like "gambling" for me because this is an investment skill we can learn about! It can make us lots of money.

-If you buy Bitcoin with hopes of keeping it until it becomes profitable then its safe to say that you are already trying your luck to win and that's gambling.
-If you are being paid in Bitcoin specially if the (BTC/Satoshi) compensation numbers are fixed then you are already gambling your time and effort
Any investment is considered as a gamble since no one can determine the future... To clear your head with this kind of mindset, as the old saying goes "never invest something that you can't afford to lose"

Gambling would be trying out your luck and I don't think we are trying out our luck while investing into bitcoin crypto. That's just real investment where we know that bitcoin price will increase as the prices are increasing according to market capitalisation.    Bitcoin is not gambling, that is my opinion. I know what other members are pointing out here,
price of bitcoin is fluctuating a lot, and who trade and try`s to earn from that is gambling. Working
for bitcoins, trying to make more bitcoins, holding them is risky, and when there is a risk that is a
gambling. But bitcoin price fluctuations depends from something, for bitcoin many people work now,
developers are upgrading it, protecting it. Answer on this question can not be black and white.
   I am risking with my decision to hold bitcoins for a long time, but that is not gambling, I can sell
my bitcoins when ever I wish. When you deposit money and start to gamble is different.

BTC is not gambling at all because we can do a lot of buying and selling through it although it has not as much user as flat currency its not gambling may it increase its value that not reason of saying it gambling  its proper way of give and take in future

Why bitcoin will be a gambling . Bitcoin is a Digital Coin. It use only for coin or cash . many people called it's name is cash money. Any coin never be a gambling. If one person use for gambling in any website that means coin is not gambling , man use it or gambling so we should not told that bitcoin is gambling.

I understand why some people may want to consider purchasing bitcoin as gambling at this stage, after all here is the dictionary definition of gambling

take risky action in the hope of a desired result.

However, calling Bitcoin itself gambling is not right, it is a digital currency and sure do have great value. Purchasing Bitcoin at this early stage when it is still being contemplated whether to be adopted by most countries or users is why we can consider it as a mid risk investment which obviously amount to its huge volatility presently.
