The people who say bitcoin is gambling they are not wrong. They are just not well informed yes Bitcoin is being used in the gambling services like other money exchanges in casinos. But Bitcoin is a lot more than just a play toy it can change history or historical problems :p if used correctly. We also say that it is the currency of future and most probably will become the reason of something more extra ordinary.

Investing on bitcoin might be considered as a form of gambling because it has risks. But the risk can be controlled and minimized to a very small level if one understands the how the market works and keeps himseld updated to current events that's taking place in crypto world.
If investment is gambling then every business is gambling. If risk is gambling then every business is gambling because in every business you can face loss so it is totally wrong that bitcoin is gambling. Bitcoin is basically goods of business and in business your goods price can come down but it does not mean that you have completely lost your goods while gambling is a bit and in bit you can completely lost your money.

I think every time you take a risk it is gambling when you invest your money not know if you're gonna gain or loss its a gamble even in stock market it is a gamble and so is a business when you start a business you take a risk not knowing if your business gonna rise or sink. It's just the way i see things that every time you take the risk you are ready to gamble.

if bitcoin investment is gambling, than every business is gambling ,because in every business you invest to make out some profit.and if you succeed in your invest its called good investment and a  genuine business but if falls its seen to be gamble or lost of investment,so it will be wrong to tag Bitcoin as a gamble.

The definition of gambling is to deal with risk and get profit, since Bitcoin price goes up and down, and since you can lose or win high profit with risk to lose, Then BTC is gambling with lower and different type. I agree

I am just new and of course I have some knowledge of bitcoins. And I think Bitcoins are not a type of gamble because the price falls even when it comes back to its original price and sometimes higher

I don't know why people say bitcoin is gambling. Its not gambling. You are investing your money and time. You use your internet. So its not gambling dealing with it.
I disagree, investing your money in bitcoin is gamble itself. You are taking a risky action in the hope of a desired result. When you take that risk, you are hoping that it would turn out to be something you expected it to be, you are not sure what will be the outcome of your decision, it may be positive or negative.

Who are those saying bitcoin is gambling, bitcoin can be used for gambling, it is a currency that can be used to buy things, bitcoin can be changed to one's country's currency.
Bitcoin and gambling are two different things, so who ever is saying that should wake up.

I think the only fool who talks about Bitcoin is gambling, because I think Bitcoin is not a gambling game, Bitcoin is just a digital currency, which can be used for anything, like real money and the only difference is a form.

So what is your point here? Isn't the price volatility of bitcoin also takes a huge part of the gamble we are taking in bitcoin? I mean, if we invest at a certain time when the price of bitcoin is too low, we predicted that this is the right time to invest because bitcoin is affordable and we believe that after that dump, bitcoin's price will rise again and we will earn profits from that investment, but it is not, we don't know that! the price of bitcoin might increase after we invested or it might still continue to decrease and later on, if that happens, we will have a little regret thinking that "I should've waited more and invested at this price so that I could gain more". This is some of the gambles we take on bitcoin.

Sometimes I think it is gambling because it drops or rise so quickly, but sometimes I think bitcoin is a kind of currency,it can be investm not gambling .so i am confused too
We all know that the price of bitcoin is volatile so that it will drops or rise its price. You can't simply say that bitcoin is a gambling but it is good investment for long term and its because of the price. Lastly, I agree that bitcoin is a kind of currency and investment it is not a gambling.

My dear friend told me after I joined him to invest in one mining site is that I taught him to gamble.  I said that investing is different from gambling.  He said that it is almost the same considering that there is no guarantee that the bitcoin he invest will come back.  I still said its different though it is the same on having both a risk.

With people who don't have knowledge enough, you don't need to explain. Keep calm and trade your coin well. The profit is your answer for them.  Cool

I do not think Bitcoin is a gamble, because here nobody is at a disadvantage and a disadvantage, if anyone says it is because they are poorly informed about Bitcoin, or maybe they hate Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is not a gambling-related thing, it is clearly a virtual currency that has been using for various purpose, Bitcoin is now playing a great profitable business platform. a couple of countries have accepted Bitcoin as a legal money. I think in the future Bitcoin will be a global currency. Bitcoin can be used in the gambling purpose but it is not directly a gambling issue.

Bitcoin has never been seen as gamble. However, people accept bitcoin as a payment for gamble but it doesn't have any affiliate with the gambling network. Its only used to purchase or make payment.

This is one of the misconceptions that people hold about bitcoin. Actually, when I first heard about bitcoin, I really think it is all about gambling or some illegal acts I guess. But after I have read articles about it, I realized that I was wrong and I think I have to use it. After joining, I continue to read more about it and I have known enough. Bitcoin is not gambling because as what you have said, you are investing here and there are legal documents pertaining to it.

Bitcoin is definitely not gambling by any means. Investing in Bitcoin might be closer to gambling because you're taking a risk by putting in something of value into getting it, and hoping to gain more in return. But the currency itself? Definitely not.

Yes, bitcoin is not gambling, maybe it's their way of putting their investment is the reason why they call bitcoin as a gambling. Like for example, in my experience, i put all my money in one coin without knowing the next movement that may cause a great lost in my part. I think, that is the reason why they said bitcoin is a gambling but it is not.

It was different kind of gambling but it's not like those usual casino games. Once you take a risk that is consider a gambling. Like when you go abroad and find a job, that is gambling coz you don't know what will happen to you. The same in crypto, you invested means you risk your money.
