I don't know why people say bitcoin is gambling. Its not gambling. You are investing your money and time. You use your internet. So its not gambling dealing with it.
I agree with your opinion. Bitcoin can not say a gambling. Bitcoin is pure business in the real world or virtual. The person who says bitcoin is a gambler, he just wants to ruin the image of bitcoin in the world. |

I can say clearly investment is a kind of gambling " especially the one based on currencies trading" because in both cases ( investment and gambling) you are not sure whether you earn or you loose . The unique difference between them is that in gambling the risk to loose is very high unlike the investment case

I think people who say bitcoin is gambling it's their expression on bitcoin or they not know enough what bitcoin is. Maybe it's better to teach them what bitcoin does how to use it if they have knowledge about bitcoin i think their mind will absolutely change.

Most of the people who compare bitcoin and gambling are arrogant people. There is a fine line between gambling and investing. We are not just merely hitting the dart blindfolded. We look up upon sudden change in the market value of bitcoin to plan out our next move. Most of the time we hold on to our coins and wait for the perfect time before collecting our profit. We are not just merely gambling and risking our money, we are investing. |

a agree with you but in some cases we can say that it is a gambling in a way that if you convert your money or invest in bitcoin and hoping that you win or you wish to make the value become high you are in a gambling process or it is an act of gambling. but if you choose to make and think that you hold your bitcoin because you need it in the future we can not say that it is an act of taking the risk action in the hope of a desired result.

Perhaps the reason why people say bitcoin is also a form of gambling is because there is no guarantee that earning it is 100% sure. You can either be successful with it or a failure depending on how you manage. |

Looks like some people need to look up in a dictionary to find out the meaning of the word gambling. What says Bitcoin is gambling is not very intelligent and very ridiculous. A currency cannot be gambling. Taking risk in investing in a currency can be considered a gamble. But taking a gamble is not the same thing as gambling. Seriously some people need to learn English. No Bitcoin is not gambling, in fact I would say it's quite the opposite. That is if you are able to just buy and hold BTC though, but if you start investing it and playing with altcoins then ya you're gambling.

Well bitcoin is a money and a cryptocurrency, maybe bitcoin can be used in gambling but it is not gambling, It is earned by working on it and by joining any bitcoin activities like forums, campaigs, advertisements, and more but not gambling.

Of course bitcoin is not gambling. I try hard to get bitcoin by following bounty, in the bounty payment I use for capital trading bitcoin. It is not right to call bitcoin a gamble, it all depends on how we get bitcoin.

Exactly Bitcoin is not gambling. I like to this it's the opposite of that, especially when you are able to just buy and hold it. If you start investing in alts and forkcoins with your BTC then you are.

I agree bitcoin was never a gamble to begin with. I think investment is a gamble. Because once we invest our bitcoin, there is no guarantee whether it will be successful or not. That is why bitcoin itself is not a gamble. |

Bitcoin is not gambling rather a calculated risk. So to say. If Bitcoin is gambling then the stock market is also gambling so as penny stocks it's same thing as alts. We always predict the market by doing a well calculated research so it's not gambling in any way.

bitcoin itself is not gambling, is the use you do with BTC that can be gambling (pure gambling on websites or market trading), if you put aside the idea of crypto and consider it like a stock option, it's just another investment until you trade by buying low sell high.
