It's kind of taking risks, well how will you be successful without even be taking risks? The abruptness of the change in the value of bitcoin is worth risking from investing to it.

The current fever that many people remember about the end of 2013, when the bitcoin currency also makes the world boiling as it is at the moment. But 2013 is also the time when the bubble bursts and the fever quickly declines and skepticism about bitcoin rises. So is history repeating itself?

Looks like some people need to look up in a dictionary to find out the meaning of the word gambling. What says Bitcoin is gambling is not very intelligent and very ridiculous. A currency cannot be gambling. Taking risk in investing in a currency can be considered a gamble. But taking a gamble is not the same thing as gambling. Seriously some people need to learn English.

I don't know why people say bitcoin is gambling. Its not gambling. You are investing your money and time. You use your internet. So its not gambling dealing with it.

Perhaps the reason why people say bitcoin is also a form of gambling is because there is no guarantee that earning it is 100% sure. You can either be successful with it or a failure depending on how you manage.

In that case everything is gambling.

Maybe because gambling is something that you cannot sure if you gonna win or lose, same as investing you cannot guarantee whether it will be fail or success. And when you investing in some cryptocurrency you take a risk in the hope of a favorable outcome.

Bitcoin is not a gambling it is a digital currency to make you earn some money even if this is just your part time job. People call bitcoin as a gambling it's because some of them used bitcoin thru online gambling. Or maybe they have lack of knowledge about bitcoin currency.

In some ways that's actually true because we really don't know exactly which investment asset is really going to be profitable, we are all guessing and hoping which one of them will be profitable in the near future.

Not so, but you said it a form of gambling. it is actually a chance for people to embrace change for people whom are not given the oppurtunity to earn a spot from works. It gives people oppurtunity on having a side job that don't require them a degree from college, and that don't require them to live in a specific environment because even in their own homes they could work through it. Just you needs  a business mind and need to learn the ethics of trading.

Bitcoin is a currency.  You cant say money is gambling itself.  But if you invest your money and convert it into bitcoin,  now it is gambling.  Because you take a risk investing your money to a volatile currency hoping it would rise up in the coming days,  but you know it might also drop.  There is still win or lose in it,  so basically its still gambling.  The process is gambling,  not bitcoin itself.

I think their where the idea that bitcoin is comparable to gambling comes from the idea that its value is volatile, and that you are gambling in the sense that it can be higher or lower, therefore, there is some sort of an "unknown" aspect about it like how gambling goes relying on the "chances." However, I agree that it's not the same because although its value can change in a split second, it's not because of change. There are market trends and happenings that may effect such change.

I agree bitcoin is not gambling, probably people who consider bitcoin as gambling because they are not consider bitcoin as currency but they just buy bitcoin for bets their fund in bitcoin with afraid. They do not need that, bitcoin is the safest crypto currency, their funds are safe in form of bitcoin and even the value would keep increasing.

Trading Bitcoin for short term profits is 100% gambling. Without any fundamental analysis to be done, traders bet on purely speculative moves without any basis. This is by definition gambling. We all have different mentality and if they thought that bitcoin is gambling then that is their opinion. Maybe if we give them an advice that bitcoin is a sure earning of profit then they might join this industry as well.

Bitcoin is not a gamble, because I judge it as a long-term investment asset because of the limited amount of coins and the increasing price progress, in trading there are some people think of them as gambling because they can not analyze technically or fundamentally

Everybody have a different opinions in the world regarding the bitcoin. Because it is a digital currency not a real money and due to this reasons people Fear from it. Who says bitcoin is a gambling ? Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency, a money and that's it. You can use for invest, trading, gambling, as a money for transaction. Actually bitcoin is not only about investing, bitcoin is same as fiat, you can use it for anything.
