I don't know why people say bitcoin is gambling. Its not gambling. You are investing your money and time. You use your internet. So its not gambling dealing with it.

Yeah,it's not gambling if you have some technical analysis and Fundamental analysis,some people who think BITCOIN is gambling because they are not have analysis to make money from this currency

I think bitcoin is not a gamble because bitcoin works the same as cash but bitcoin is better than cash because bitcoin provides ease in transactions and bitcoin can also be made into investments, maybe people who say bitcoin is the same as gambling maybe he does not know bitcoin.

To those people that are saying that bitcoin is a gambling, maybe they are trying to say that bitcoin is a risky thing. We do know that gambling do is one of the riskiest investment, however the belief that it is an investment is also something wrong but how it goes nowadays. And the gamble in a way that bitcoin is something that isn't accepted worldwide or there are just people that are thinking that way. But well, bitcoin is used for gambling and will be volatile all the time.

Maybe they are saying that you need to gamble your money in order for you to eatn because giving our time and speding our money because of bitcoin  is sometimes gambling at all, its not bitcoin. Being a bitcoiner is sometimes the most difficult things we do when it comes in dealing with it. But the most easiest way too when it comes in earning triple to 10x fold of money. Yes that's true. Gambling deals with betting. In bitcoin you didn't bet. You invest and trade. As you invest you earn. But you will not earn if you didn't invest. It is not gambling because you didn't bet, you just invest.

Bitcoin is a currency.  You cant say money is gambling itself.  But if you invest your money and convert it into bitcoin,  now it is gambling.  Because you take a risk investing your money to a volatile currency hoping it would rise up in the coming days,  but you know it might also drop.  There is still win or lose in it,  so basically its still gambling.  The process is gambling,  not bitcoin itself.

Yes bitcoin is gambling in the other way. But for me it is not gambling as you used it as an income of your money. For example you just here in forum and start from nothing until you earn money from joining in the signature campaign. Many people says thats gambling but they doesnt have any proof on it. Maybe some people called bitcoin as gambling because  we're just investing without knowing if we really got our money with a profit in return. Like gambling, we never know if we really win or we were lose. The point is, investing bitcoin is risky because it doesn't have any promising that guarantee your money will back again. Maybe that's why people called it as gambling.

In fact that bitcoin can be bought in fraction as low as one hundredth of a millionth, it make it an easy target for speculator. This make people think that bitcoin as gambling, but actually bitcoin is not gambling, investors automatically earn profit along with the number of people who want to buy bitcoin as early as possible, so some of them buy bitcoin higher than market price and some of them sell bitcoin as soon as possible when they can take profit so sell bitcoin lower than market price is no problem as long as they still can get profit, it makes the price down. So people do not gamble using bitcoin as long as they understand the market and have a good strategy.

Well thats misconception about bitcoin to be compared to gambling,  because investing with it isn't the same ways how gambling works like betting in short time but win or lose right aways and you can't even revover that losses. Eventhough its used for gambling but maybe that's the ony strategies of other people who wanted fast profit but also quick losses when they failed to win. The volatility of bitcoin is not the reason it's compared to gambling, that was just their impressions.

I guess it is based on analyzing and in gambling you lose everything but here you gain coins and you can hold them until it reaches the desired level of your investment. In gambling you can`t earn something but you bet on something. Here you earn coin and its your choice to sell it with loss or gain from it. People don`t have an idea what is bitcoin and keep speaking about it. If they say its gambling they should give reasons for it not just opinions.

Well based on some definitions of gambling, such as "taking risky actions with the hope of a desired outcome" then investing in bitcoin is gambling. A few people I've spoken to have immediately thought of bitcoin as gambling but for me I do not see it in such a way. Even skill games like poker are not gambling to my mind, if you are skilled enough and sensible you will profit in the long term.

People might have invested in bitcoin a few weeks ago with the upcoming fork in mind, in hindsight you could say it was a gamble.
