In ver 0.9.2, my VEGAs 56 fan suddenly go above 4000rpm, even 4800rpm. WTF....
In ver 0.8 - 0.9 my vgas often go though 3500-3800rpm ....

Will you be updating to support Cryptonight-Heavy implementation that SumoKoin just implemented in their fork?

Hi,

thinking about it. Not sure if it will integrate in Cast XMR but as an separate app as the changes can not run optimal with the current kernel layout.

all my machines on win 10 now see the 0.9.2 exe file as virus:

Trojan:Win32/Bitrep.A
file: C:\Cast XMR\cast_xmr-vega.exe
Alert level: Severe
Category: Trojan

Windows defender automatically removes the file and crashes mining.

Happened almost simultaneously on all machines so probably windows pushed an update on windows defender.

Do you use OverdriveN Tool or Wattman? My fans are just 1200-1900 RPM with about 55-60C.

WoW 1200/1900 only!
You obviously do not have the reference cards with just one blower...   Grin
Or... if you do have them, they may be sitting outside somewhere in Norway!

Please support Sumo/Heavy algo ASAP.  Stak is so unstable and their config files are a nightmare.

+1 for this. CastXMR is much more useable than XMR-STAK. Insane amount of profitability on the SumoKoin's cryptonight-heavy algorithm as of the past few hours. Seems like it was very effective in killing all those cryptonight ASICs.
Would you be so kind to elaborate how SumoKoin can be "so profitable" these days?

For my experience the pools (HASHVAULT, FAIRPOOL) I have tested are quite inefficent and delivers 10% less of the rate my miners are recording, where with other coins is not the case.
I assume the difficulty lately may have decreased or something like that, for Sumo being profitable.
Whattomine gives a very low profitability for Sumo.

At the moment I am mining, NiceHash, ETN and just began with TRTL which seems quite profitable. I have seen there are other coins that can give around 30% than Nicehash, but only for short period of times.
The time when 5 vegas were making 35 USD per day seems a very distant past...

If you have the time, I would appreciate your insight.

Will you be updating to support Cryptonight-Heavy implementation that SumoKoin just implemented in their fork?

I hope it will support the Cryptonight-Heavy implementation.

Hi,

CryptoNight-Heavy is used only by SumoKoin? Or are any other coins using or planning to use Heavy?

Looks like they are the only ones for now. Possibly some other coins will also join

xmrig devs compiled a list of CN coins that change pow, might be useful to watch: https://github.com/xmrig/xmrig/issues/482

Haven (XHV) has already forked to Heavy. There is a good amount of miner interest in that coin right now.

I may of missed it but does the latest version not need any changes or switches on/off to enable V7? It will just carry on mining once the fork happens?

Hi,

for Monero the switch will happen automatically. It will be determined by the block version, which will switch to 7.

It will state "New Job received (CryptoNightV7)", note the V7, then you will know you are on the new fork.

1000 blocks to go...

I have an issue where my GPU1 (rx570) is only hashing ~60 h/s when the other cards are 700 - 770

GPU1 works fine on other miners.

I've tried with the monitor plugged in / not plugged in but the result is the same.

Did you try rebooting the system? For me its the only solution that works when the hashrate goes down.
