can someone remind me how to add nodes (and what to add) to my windows wallet please... it's still saying invalid address, whenever I try to send coinage. mac wallet working fine.  thanks.

One moment, dump your IX.

But i'm pretty sure they overlooked your post by accident.

thanks   Wink

http://www.ixcoin.co/?page_id=21

If you’re finding trouble finding peers, please add “addnode=198.154.60.183″ and “addnode=50.116.37.18″ to your ixcoin.conf or add it to the startup command line -addnode=198.154.60.183 -addnode=50.116.37.18

Here are additional nodes to bootstrap the client:
addnode=24.34.40.175
addnode=142.4.208.71
addnode=24.42.148.53
addnode=184.78.215.89
addnode=62.75.167.48
addnode=83.163.120.176
addnode=123.203.84.34
addnode=86.93.208.193

You`re welcome.

Alright, so you can open the client and open the command console

Type (without quotes)  "addnode --the node IP-- add"

So like:

addnode 24.34.40.175 add

Or option 2, you make a text file in notepad, past this inside:

    addnode=24.34.40.175

    addnode=142.4.208.71

    addnode=24.42.148.53

    addnode=184.78.215.89

    addnode=62.75.167.48

    addnode=83.163.120.176

    addnode=123.203.84.34

    addnode=86.93.208.193

Then once finished save and rename it to ixcoin.conf

Place that in appdata/ixcoin

If you need more detailed explanation let me know. Also you will have to restart your client if you do .conf

okay, i'm not sure about the addnode, but it may because of the old client.

Open up My computer:

Click C drive/users/your name/appdata/roaming/ixcoin

Appdata may be a hidden folder, so click the menu bar > tools > folder options > view > show hidden files and folders

place the ixconf in that folder.

I'm not sure why you can't send, you may need to fully synch?

I twitted another 5 billionaires tonight.  Let's see if my new ID gets banned too[for no reason] or if [by some miracle] maybe I get a response.

And where is Luke, it's been a week and voting time is almost up?

what address are you sending too? maybe it is invalid. what is the output of "validateaddress XXXX" where XXXX is the address in the console?

still not working after placing the config file in the correct folder. Still getting 'invalid address' with every send attempt.
the address i'm sending to is valid, as it receives ixcoin from my miner without a problem...

i think i'll have to resign myself to having lost the coins on my windows wallet!?

How many coins you have on there?

Don't delete anything.  If they go up in value then you would be able to afford to have a pro get those coins out.  Just don't delete them or throw them out.

Hopefully friction will have the new client out soon which will fix your issues.

If you're on windows, open the run console.

Type %appdata%

Find the ixcoin folder.

Create a notepad file with the following:

    addnode=24.34.40.175

    addnode=142.4.208.71

    addnode=24.42.148.53

    addnode=184.78.215.89

    addnode=62.75.167.48

    addnode=83.163.120.176

    addnode=123.203.84.34

    addnode=86.93.208.193

Save it as ixcoin.conf

That should be it sorted.

I know it's pretty much the same as what TK said.

yeah i'm not deleting the client... I have another set of remote miners which fund that windows wallet, while my home setup finds the mac wallet... ideally, i'd just like to put both sets of ixcoin on the same wallet, not looking to trade them just yet.

try sending out some IXC from said address.   Setup an online wallet either on CEX.IO, Vircurex or Cryptsy to send to.

Interesting.

I checked the address:  http://darkgamex.ch:2751/address/xu4EnGFDZsAuaWoFsHiyio6E5MLHDrixFH  it has .57 IXC in it.

So the address is on a the new 0.8.6 Mac OS X client?

The old windows client can't correctly validate the address?

Don't delete anything.  If they go up in value then you would be able to afford to have a pro get those coins out.  Just don't delete them or throw them out.

Hopefully friction will have the new client out soon which will fix your issues.

yeah i'm not deleting the client... I have another set of remote miners which fund that windows wallet, while my home setup finds the mac wallet... ideally, i'd just like to put both sets of ixcoin on the same wallet, not looking to trade them just yet.

I just checked with the block explorer:

http://darkgamex.ch:2751/address/xitzNeMNY5Bz57kSWGnd795ZBUfcQUM1zk

try sending out some IXC from said address.   Setup an online wallet either on CEX.IO, Vircurex or Cryptsy to send to.

oops, sorry that was a new address, here's the one I mine to (mac wallet)

xu4EnGFDZsAuaWoFsHiyio6E5MLHDrixFH

Interesting.

I checked the address:  http://darkgamex.ch:2751/address/xu4EnGFDZsAuaWoFsHiyio6E5MLHDrixFH  it has .57 IXC in it.

So the address is on a the new 0.8.6 Mac OS X client?

The old windows client can't correctly validate the address?

all correct, that's what i've cashed out from mining since I installed the mac wallet.

So how much GHs and for how long did you mine to get .57 IXC?

So how much GHs and for how long did you mine to get .57 IXC?

stats on that amount are a bit haphazard;

I have 150GH on one account (bitparking) which merge mines coinage, and funds from another 90GH on another account (bitparking) ...but during the last long round (2 weeks) i've been jumping in and out of bitparking, so that amount isn't representative of a constant hashrate. The 0.57 is from the 150GH account, but the 90gh has also has been in and out of the pool, during the long round. the windows wallet, from that miner, has 0.74.

I've only been using bitparking for a few rounds, hence why the sum is so low. For a better idea of what 150gh is mining, see current round stats

http://mmpool.bitparking.com/user/jojobear

at 25 hrs, 0.1569 ixcoin have been mined.

i guess i'm going to have to wait for a new windows ixcoin wallet release to get these funds out? bear in mind, that one of the mining accounts (the 90gh)  feeds it directly.

I find it odd that the windows wallet is invalidating the address when the address is in the blockchain.  Are you sure you don't have a space after the address?

Why don't you try sending the coins to an account on CEX.IO, Cryptsy or Vircurex?

Thanks for info about trying to mine IXC.

I use both cryptsy and also vircurex, but the windows wallet gives the same error with any address I try to send to; invalid address.  Undecided
