Ok so I received a response from Cryptopia that they are de-listing CAP and that we are to withdraw all coins to a personal wallet ASAP.
See attached image !!!

https://prntscr.com/io4irq

I tried this a few months ago when our wallets were moving to a new version 2.3.0 and now I am not sure which wallet version we should be using to do a download test from Cryptopia to.  I don't think that the new 2.3.0 version wallet will work?   Cryptopia still shows the v2.2.2.0-g418187240-Caps2.0 on coininfo.

I don't have access to my wallet from where I am at right now but when I do I will try and send off 10 coins to see what happens and see if they show up on the old v.2.2.0 wallet.

I agree with some of the posts on the forum.  If Cryptopia finally De-Lists CAP and everyone gets their coins back then we should then only consider getting on a new exchange.

@tranz - Have you heard back from them?

How can we download their old chain onto our new wallets?  Isn't this clearly a breech of contract on their part?  Even if the hack was beyond both parties control, they should stick with us out of business goodwill and common cryptocurrency aims.

There is no old chain.  They need to upgrade to 2.3.x and sync the blockchain.  And they need the coins on the exchange in order to send them to the owners.  That's the only way it will work.

This looks like a standard form reply to queries about withdrawing delisted coins.

Hopefully someone from the wallet team will (eventually?) respond to Tranz and update the client.

I suggest Tradeogre and stocks.exchange as new places for CAP, it'll be better then being held hostage on cryptopia forever

Suck to see cryptopia once again inconveniencing people (and losing their money in other cases) because CAP is one of my favorite coins

Something interesting is going on at Tradesatoshi. Status page shows CAPo which I assume is the "old CAPS" with the old wallet version and there is this new CAP listed. Doesn't show the wallet version though, but maybe there is hope!

I would like to make a suggestion,  If @Tranz would share the ticket number he has asking to upgrade the wallet to 2.3.0 and I am sure that in that same ticket he has offered to give back the missing coins.  Maybe we can open other tickets referencing his to ask them to upgrade the wallet.  Were not asking for much.

Comments ?

@Tranz what do you think?

Let's deposit, buy or just otherwise interact with it and see what happens.

I have your money from the Double Spend Attack on CAPS. I need to know you are on version 2.3. Then please send me a wallet address and exact amount you are missing so I can send those coins over to you. Thank you, Tranz

Hello. I have seen you intend to delist CAP. Please before you do will you upgrade to version 2.3 and allow me to give you the coins that were part of hack?

https://github.com/bottlecaps-foundation/bottlecaps

People deserve their coins. Plus I can give you an addition 10 million if you allow CAP to stay on.

Thank you!

Hi El Rey De la Sofa,

This issue will be resolved in Tranz's ticket #95103

Kind regards,
Cryptopia Wallets Team

I'd take this as the declared resolution.

Additional #metoo tickets filed would take away from their support bandwidth and would, in my view, be demerits against a positive outcome for anyone with a balance on the exchange. I dont see the upside of taxing their resources.

I'm uncertain as to what the resolution of #95103 will be but I maintain a favorable view of Cryptopia in general.

I tried to send to the new CAP address and the wallet turned the address red and wouldn't take it.   The old CAP on TS has an ! mark next to it.

The difference is:
38,367,597.57710634 CAP

Our base address is:

Please let us know if there are any issues.

Kind regards,

Cryptopia Wallets Team

So unless anyone objects I will be sending 1 million coins as a test.  After confirmation on the block chain and from their team via email I will be sending more.

Good to hear Cryptopia has finally communicated.

Is this solely to cover customer withdrawals, or are they cancelling the delist and continuing to trade it?

Tranz this is great news !!!  1M coins sounds like allot for a test.  I would say 100K with a note that the rest will come after they confirm it.  I dunno but given everything going on these days you really just can't trust some entities.

Did they say if they would continue to list the coin?

The withdrawal option on Cryptopia is still open.  Has anyone tried to send some coins to their 2.3.0 wallet now that they are on 2.3.0?

Just to let you know I have been working with Cryptopia, to restore all the users coins. We did the 1 million test send, however they didn't get it. Upon further examination they were stuck on a bad block. So they have reset the block chain and are re-syncing  now.

They have asked for a block explorer, but the one at presstab is not working. Can someone please work with him to get it up and running ASAP.

If we want any chance of not only getting all the coins back to users, but also trying to keep it listed we need to ensure:

1) A fully working and correct block explorer is up.
2) The checkpoints are being issued for every block, 24/7

For the 2nd I have contacted Rey, but have not heard back from him yet.
