Hard Fork in a few days at block 3,900,000. Then if and when Cryptopia is on that fork and give and address for their coins they should re-start it then.

A few days? Isn't Bottlecaps on block 3,388,489 right now? 3,900,000 is ~520,000 blocks away. If a new block happens about every minute, won't it take about a full year to reach block 3,900,000? Pardon if I'm missing something...

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Small typo from Tranz, I'm sure he meant to type 3,390,000

From src/main.h
Code:
static const int RECOVER_DBLSP_HEIGHT = 3390000

Ya just a typo. It should happen in about ~12 - 24 hours.

And hard fork.  Has Cryptopia been contacted and maybe conversed with to see if they'll reopen the trading?

I cannot expect that after Cryptopia gets their coins back, and after all the hard work to make it happen.  That they would not re-open for ordering.

At a miminum they should unlock my wallet and let me do what I want with my coins after they get theirs.

Bam !!!!! Were forked, hungry for whats next.  --->  https://prntscr.com/hudsyn

Just an opinion here... I think the confirmations should be changed from 25 to 50... or 100 for PoS.

Do we know if Cryptopia has agreed to get on the new fork?  I know the coins is a separate issue.

It's great to have the new wallet and this coin still hanging on.  I love the way it stakes and the name/idea.  It's too bad this wallet can't get down to a smaller size.  I noticed the Cap+ wallet is tiny.   I wonder if there is any change in code that can be implemented and prioritized at a later date.

I'm assuming you mean the blockchain loaded into memory?  That's not the wallet.  You control the wallet size by the number of transactions that are in it.  The blockchain size is dependent on the number of blocks that exist.  Cap+ started with a genesis block and a completely new chain, not a fork.  Bottlecaps has block one from 2013.  That's a lot of blocks...

So I still haven't heard anythign back from Cryptopia, my ticket is not updated.

We can try to get listed elsewhere. I have coins we can use from the fork as a bounty. Say 10-15 million or so.

Anyone want to reach out and do some applications? Offer 10 million coins, but not to be touched for 3-6 months.

cryptopia admins fighting enormous load lately, first priority, no time for anything

I figured as much as they've always had spectacular support. Cryptopia's experienced considerable growth since CAP was first listed.

I like the idea of reaching out to other exchanges with an offer, the team at Bittrex has always seemed very professional and above board. Alternatively, somewhere far from the shores of countries that want to tax every trade - Binance? https://support.binance.com/hc/en-us/sections/115000106672-New-Listings.

If any of you get in touch with an exchange who's interested post here and I'll do the same.

I keep forgetting about that blockchain size thing because there was talk about the Truckcoin wallet being recompiled to make it smaller.

Did anyone notice that we are not on coinmarketcap anymore?

Has anyone considered skipping on these centralised exchanges completely and using the bitshares platform?

It would be possible to run a decentralised organisation with collateralised CAP and a bitshares issued token.
Lets call it the CAP foundation
The CAP foundation account can be permissioned across several foundation members (vote for them if you like)

While CAP can happily stake on the CAPS blockchain the organisation can release tradeable CAP tokens with regular airdrops for holders
to distribute the stakes into the market.
When a user withdraws they receive CAPS to a caps address.(see open.btc open.ltc)

Best thing is minimal costs, the trading fees can be set by the foundation and it puts a POS coin on a next gen exchange.

If you are not familiar with bitshares go take a quick look at openledger or bitshares.org.

0.5BTC to get on an exchange for them to charge fees Huh?? GOOD GOD them days are over soon enough.
