That is a normal warning for outdated check-points in chains... (Not a severe warning, if it is working.)
You are fine, that is the correct chain. There has not been an update with the hard-coded check-point, due to the wallet running well.
Just check to see that you are on the correct chain by the bottlecap-explorer.
http://bottlecaps.kicks-ass.net/block_crawler.phpYou should also be able to see the correct block-height on this site.
http://www.coinchoose.com/If you see your diff is about 41K in your miners... that is the correct difficulty at the moment. If you see your diff real low, like 10K to 1K... and only 3 connections... that is a sign you are on the wrong chain. Otherwise you are golden.
I believe he is working on rewording some of the text in the wallet, to make it more appropriate to what it is complaining about.
However, all wallets say that, when they are fine. It is more of a "caution" warning, that you MIGHT be on the wrong chain... as opposed to being an "DANGER! Fix it or die!" warning.
okay so i wasted a bunch of time, and slowed down my mining (of other alts), re-fetching the blockchain a couple times before doing searches on this problem. this kind of interface issue is certainly going to be stopping new miners from getting into bottlecaps, i know its stopped me
from starting to mine. it is mid january now, how long DOES it take to clean up this supposedly non-fatal and VERY DECEPTIVE error message? who wants to get into an alt currency with such sloppy back-end support? over six weeks now since the original post i'm replying on. and one of those weeks i've personally wasted just to eventually find this answer.
oh and the link to block_crawler.php keeps getting network timeouts, so we cant even do the check that is suggested.
