What about connecting to other community members instead of posting dubious compuled wallets? I don´t know you. I don´t know anyone who knows you. You have no reputation. I would never install software by such a person, nor would I advise anyone to do so. Ifyou are seriously trying to help, then you better connect to other users. If you don´t I will rather warn others to use your ressources.

the problem is, there is no source code (git) so we cant know whats changed, also its winblows shitware

No, but we need a structure in my opinion to enhance decision taking by making it more transparent and democratical. We try to prepare the new forum, so this can be done all from within the forum and I hope others will get along with these ideas.

 So what happens to existing Quark holders with their coins in a Proof of Burn process? Do they lose that investment?

It depends upon how many Quarkholders decide to move to the new coin.

Basically, proof-of-burn is the process of creating coins by destroying old ones. You make a quark wallet that only has a public address (no private key) and people can trade their quarkcoins for the new coins by sending quarks to that address. The foundation would monitor the address via the block explorer during the distribution period and when it was over they would send the new coins to people who took advantage of the process.

Since there is no private key, no one can ever spend those coins again. Essentially, they are destroyed.

So basically, If I send 50k QRK to the wallet address I will lose those quarks forever but will be rewarded with the equivalent of 50k QRK in the new currency. This is how Counterparty created their currency (they burned Bitcoin).

There are several scenarios about how this could affect people who decide not to move to Core, however.

1. The majority of Quark-holders move.

In this scenario, most of the Quark community transitions to Core. This will effectively kill Quark...the community will be so small that investors will lose confidence and sell out....unless somehow the remaining community stands firm and attracts new members. If that happened, then the price of QRK would probably go up quite a bit. So many Quarkcoins had been destroyed that those that remained would be worth a lot more.

2. A small portion of Quark-holders move

Say Quarkfx decides to launch core but only 5% of the community wants to go with him. This will probably leave Quark basically intact (as long as they still have a dev., foundation, etc.)...so Core should not affect Quark to much...the only effect would probably be a tiny bump in value to account for the coins that had been destroyed.

for my part i have opened a topic on here and in other places asking for Quark clone devs to approach ( i have found that thee are literally so many clones its hard to research them all)

i will expand more on this but the solution i will be looking for will be :


1. predictable

2. solve problems

3. solve as many "issues" at once as possible

4. will not involve any pre mine or gimmick. ( I am going to be cold on this, also we can exclude spammy unprovable non fair starts or other gypsy type scams)

5. I can rule out PoS at this stage however i will not rule it out all together (if its ever elegantly functional)

6. overall my sole purpose for this is to better the value for existing holders of Quark and future buyers, this will be apparent.

Yes the trend with the core community is going against any major change to protocol, we don't need pump and dump actions by doing merge mining and involve other coins. This will divide quarkers even further. We need multisig implementation, social wallet, and work on improving the protocol not change it radical. These are being worked at this moment by Quark dev team.

Unfortunately there isn't much transparency going on during this process so many rumors spread within the community, thats why we are working on bringing quakers together in a new platform that will unite us and allow to see more public actions from everyone involved with Quark. All the past 10 pages mentions of new coin, companion coin, merge mining, have done alot of harm and confusion and it will stop once we have more transparency. Things are being worked on now and in 1-2 weeks time we'll know where we're heading.

I am giving hope to the true quarkers out there to not look at the price right now as its already down, but look at the prospect of Quark:

• We are using the safest crypto protocol from the POW family, protected by automatic checkpoints not by hashrate. Sure, network power is important but quark security doesn't rely on it. Bitcoin and other coins can't say this, they are prone to attacks from industrial miners and have no protection against double spending attacks, except to go back into blockchain and commit a fork.
• Quark has one of the fastest transaction confirmation time
• Quark has $0 fees required to transmit transactions, unlike many other coins from top of the market
• The above 2 points places us in the market for micro transactions and merchant adoption, if we stay united and survive in this rough times we will be here for a long ride because no other coin can claim the above, especially the security part. We do not need another coin to achieve security, our protocol already has the best security of all coins using automatic checkpoints. What we need is a transparent activity of Quark core community and an active participation of quarkers in discussions, we are working to release the platform for that soon.

Hey im a long time holder and supporter of the Quarkcoin, I ahh bought 100,000 odd the very next day after Cryptsy it up for trade and iv been holding most of them ever since...

I just wanted to come for a visit to see how the Quark community is going as its Quarks 1st birthday in a few days and wanted to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY QUARKCOIN and WELL DONE DEVS!!!

Iv seen many of coin i invested in over the last 2.5 years iv been buying/trading coins simply die in the ass... For varies reasons, You only have to have a look around at all coins that had great potential once upon a time that are now dead or worthless, Go check out the ADT community for example... Literally go have a look at what a divided and arguing community has done to that coin.

I want to point something out... Look at the all time trading history of Qrk on Cryptsy, It traded for 3-4 months from July to mid November between 0.00000040 - 0.00000400 and never any higher in those months until every single coin got pumped to Mooon in November and Qrk went along for the ride with all the other coins, Since then every coin not just Qrk but every coin has come crashing back to Earth and many harder than others, I think compared to many coins Qrk is shaping up better than most have in that time its still trading at 5x what it was before it got pumped (Think of it that way)... Many of these new coins coming out WOW there are shitloads arnt there? I can see many of those coins dying off just as iv seen so many in my time, Most are just pump, dump get rich quick coins that dont have a solid footing in the crypto world... Me personally have much more faith in the oldschool coins that had innovation in the early days, They have stood the test of time they've been pumped, dumped, thrashed out but they still here doing well... Qrk will have good times again (After this financial crisis is over)... Block rewards halve next couple days so buy up while Qrkcoins are still cheap...

I am one of the so called trolls from the old board and i can say that i'm still impressed how people didnt learn anything from the past.
You want to open or merge a new coin so quark will survive.What a nonsense and double of work if you are not one of the big worthless quark holders.Its nice to see after x month that everything happened like a few people with a working brain predicted.Also nice to see that digitalindustry changed his mind on a point where we got attacked from the whole board for telling truth.
First of all what i can instantly see you guys are trying to open a new scam coin for pump and dump.
Shows you havent learned anything out of the past.Also i would recommend to leave digitalindustry and max since their names are burned in the cryptocurrency.Max Kaiser,Bill still and Evan (on reuters) advertised Quark and people joined it like morons without even understanding the system.Checking now i can say that people lost arround 70% of their money in a single month and any bigger sale would instantly kick the price under $0.05 .You can even claim that they lost 99% cause once they try to sell their coins the price will go instantly down.Watching on volume you can already see there are no more buyers but only holdersThere are still big wallet holders,no mining anymore even evan ALWAYS told us this wont ever happen LOL yeah i remember his words or his claims of the great work of community which is creating infrastructur for quark...
Maybe somebody can show me now the changes after so many months which makes quark a currency LOL .
Another issue are several security issues which evan wanted to fix in feburary but which arent fixed till today.
So yeah quark is a great coin and i can predict that even quark starts again that ther wont be any big attantion since the names quark,digitalindustry and max are burned after the quark scam.

And it was nobody else than digitalindustry who kicked out all the great members and moderators who were unhappy with the premine but who pushed quark to the position where it was.
