Such claims should have reasonable base and proof, ETH is full of potential but next year is far too soon for it to even hit the market cap BTC currently have. it might be a future giant but for now, and the next few years, Bitcoins is still the best

So far there is no reason to believe that ethereum will overtake bitcoin at its cost. Bitcoin recently lost in popularity due to the accumulated deficiencies, but he is gradually improving. This is especially evident in its new version, which fully supports SegWit. Although ethereum will grow in price this year, however, bitcoin will do it. It seems to me that ethereum not only will not catch up with bitcoin in value, but the price gap this year will only increase between them.

 Ethereum has a bright future, considering that most ICOs launch on its platform. if this continues then the value of ETH will shoot over time to incredible heights, i however dont think it will overtake Bitcoin anytime soon, just by the sheer market cap Bitcoin commands makes it the crypto king and it will remain that way for a ling time

It's hard to say ETH will overtake Bitcoin, Bitcoin has bee known and used all over the world. ETH will follow as well, but it will not be as good as Bitcoin

I think it's impossible because Ethereum has only the potential and with Ethereum can be long-term invested and with Ethereum able to transact quickly because Bitcoin has a lot of uses and has more trust than with Ethereum because currently, bitcoin has dropped dramatically.

I'm not sure of the issue, because there is no grounding what makes ETH overtake BTC. Market exchange, we see if Bitcoin drops then ETH also goes down.

Overtaking bitcoin is a little bit impossible for me before ETH can overtake bitcoin he needs to pass BCH before he pass bitcoin. Since prices are always slow moving and sometimes they are on the red it is hards for every coin to overtake one another specially whebn the price of a coin is too low and the coin that need to overtaken is too high.

Ethereum is a great currency, it's massively well utilized around. It's better than bitcoin's blockchain
infrastructure. All in all it is unique and clearly has a big potential. But overtaking bitcoins will take
some time, bitcoin's popularity is unrivaled currently and there's really a big difference in value and
market price. The way it behaves is unique though, bitcoin is fast and erratic in the price market
but ETH's is slow and steady even on price dives and climbs. It may have the potential to overtake
bitcoin but for now, it's not possible.

For me, it will not happen. Bitcoin is the KING of all cryptocurrency. It is the best. But ETH is also the best but on different field, like in smart contracts. But I believe in ethereum, that's why I still hold ethereum now. Holding for 5 years. I believe to the project of Ethereum that's why I am holding.
