shouldn't we use the valid share count opposed to the total share count?

Code:
[unitedminers]
name: unitedminers.com
mine_address: pool.unitedminers.com:8332
api_address: http://www.unitedminers.com/?action=statistics
api_method:re
api_key:Valid shares for current round:</th><td>([,\d]+)
api_strip:','
role:mine
#CHANGE THIS
#unitedminers.com
user: workername
pass: workerpassword

I guess so, but in the end there is a small difference between the two

yes we should. There can be a 2 - 5% difference (depending on total pool stale) and I'd rather get the numbers right.

Also I think everyone is very mean and horrible and cruel.

I also hope his server is immersed in mineral oil, or liquid nitrogen, or something.

you wouldn't have gotten a single share in even if you could predict the start of the round. Unless you're another farmboy like clipse?

bitcoins.lc seems to have PPLNS. My estimated earnings dropped rapidly and now I have 0 estimated BTCs in a 2h+ round. I disabled it again.

Nah, it just averages the last 15 minutes, thats all. Look at your recent transactions here https://www.bitcoins.lc/stats

Something that would help with servers timing out in case there is multiple servers available for a pool would be to list all available pool addresses and attempt to reconnect in a priority list and only if all servers listed for a pool timeout move onto next hoppable server.

like bitclockers 4 servers you mean? great idea! would certainly help with load balancing.

yersss, and it just so happened to coincide with all the hoppers using them again. They'd been fine for the last week or two previously. Infrastructure again. I've turned them off.

btw getting 120% on slush.

@c00w - do you think a long term average hashrate for each pool would be hard to add to the html page? atm, efficiencies are good, but good efficiency with with a poor hashrate (eg bitclockers) over a long period of time, even a few days or a week would help hoppers make better decisions about where to hop. FFT.

I have deepbit setup dedicated without bithopper on a portion of my farm.

Just to give you an idea, the last 4 days deepbit avg shares have been between 25%-50% less than difficulty level.

Same, I split mhash between my hopper and deepbit/slush recently, especially when the hopper is acting up or I'm messing with it, that way the other miner will ramp up when the other is idle or acting up.
