I don't get it, there are 2 mixed pools or the upper is prop and the other is pps ?
This is the basic situation, one proportional pool and one pps pool. You use the prop pool when it's in your hopping range, and use the pps pool when it's outside of that range. The multiple proportional pool situation has already been covered by streblo a few pages back. You can generalise from this to multipool - think of it as the efficiency you get from one of the pools you hop, from one average hop - of either 0 to 0.43 * diff or 2 to 4 * diff.

your statement just reinforce my belief that hopping pools is actually a search for better eff. on the miner side

As opposed to? ...as opposed to any pool operator sustaining that prop. is the most profitable for miners, thus better eff. on long term. Any educated person would realize that submitting shares after a certain point in a prop. pool would make him lose money, energy or efficiency, whatever you want to call it.

Its funny to think about but at roulette tables in casinos they usually display the last several rounds and I look for a table with a lot of 1 color rounds like 10 rounds in black then I go to that table and bet heavy on red and I usually come out pretty well.

I hear the choice before the last after the second is a good one.

OK, never say I do nuthin' for ya bastidges. The hotlinked thumbnails below (that's for you clipse, new hosting service) show a 3d plot of efficiency vs hop on and off times, and a contour plot of the same data (think you're looking at the 3d plot from above, lighter colour=better efficiency). Any requests?

... @macboy80 is your code in the public domain? I'd be glad to move it over to bitHopper when I have the time. Or a pull request would be awesome.
Pull request finally sent. Code is public domain. One note... I changed the server names in the pool.cfg and user.default.cfg to be "more uniform" and satisfy my OC tendencies. It seems people may not like that so much. Those changes are a separate commit, so you should be able to leave them out if it is the community's will. Its funny to think about but at roulette tables in casinos they usually display the last several rounds and I look for a table with a lot of 1 color rounds like 10 rounds in black then I go to that table and bet heavy on red and I usually come out pretty well.
I was just explaining to a friend with no BTC knowledge that hopping is kind of like having the same money on several different colors at the same time.

...and I answered.
I am tempted to take a screenshot of the paltry sums I get from Slush each round to post there, but I don't want to risk getting banned if Slush doesn't take well to his pool being hopped.

I didn't want to do my own readme, as I'm just repackaging. In the future I plan on putting these releases either on an FTP or on Wuala (I need some room there before though). Dropbox sucks for this kinda stuff, ...
I can hook you up or any dev here with proper web hosting space for free if you need it. BYO domain.
