It would have been a nice thing to add demerit system in the forum and to regulate undesirable merits of users  but users will abuse it.

These are contradicting. What can be abused can not be nice.

Unless it will still control by MERIT SOURCES or you create or appoint another DEMERIT SOURCES to demerit any post that is not necessary or not worth of meriting.

If there is a report button on every post that you can press and report, there is no need for demerit, demerit can not have any good advantage than frustration.

Without much consideration, that's the truth. There isn't any need for a demerit system. What we merit here is the posts and not the accounts. The merits when given might be owned by the account but, it is the post that infacts does the entitlement. Hence, how is demerit supposed to work? On some bad low quality posts for which, you don't share the ideas or perhaps you just recalled that, the post which you've previously merited doesn't deserve the merits it got!

That would mean, you weren't diligent enough in giving out the merits and could be as a result of so many things. A demerit system is surely going to bring some abuse. Some users already complains of abuse with the trust system, how then would the 'demerit system' be any different if implemented. There isn't a need for such functionality, the report to Moderator bottom solves it all gor low quality or bad posts.

There is currently no such thing as a "demerit". I'm hoping that the positive merits alone will be fine. I could add demerits pretty easily later on if necessary, though.

With all due respect, I disagree with you, implementing a demerit system will rather cause more problems and confusion than good, personally, I think we already have all that we need, and that is a merit system, why then do we still clamour for demerit system? Does anybody merit a post by mistake?, I believe not, in the sense where nobody merits a post by mistake, I believe we don't need a demerit system at all because it will only create alot of confusion and disagreement amongst us.
Imagine you find a post which after reading, you find it helpful and you decided to merit it, and a demerit source comes around and removes the merit, how would you feel? You probably would feel or see yourself as someone who don't truly know what a good post is.

Or imagine you spent your quality time to create a very educative post, and other members found your post worthy and decided to merit it, but a demerit source for some reason(s) didn't find your post helpful as much and went ahead to remove all the merits you were given, how do you think that would make you feel? Happy?, of course not, you probably would see that demerit source as an enemy of your progress and would start hating him or her.

And on the other hand, seeing a low quality post and not meriting it is already as good as demeriting the post, and if for any reason, you wish to take a step further, the report button is there, you can click it to report the post to the moderator.

Good idea but i would like to say why not if there would be an image that canbe colourful and with imagewe can do whatever we want to, for example as if we we want a Table thats possible and if we want the image Sections to be colorful as each rank with different color that also possible.

That will be difficult to achieve with the software the forum is using for now, but if the feature is added to new forum software it would be good. No one knows when we are going to have new forum software.

But it is not looking bad at all and it looks good as it is not even coloured like those modern test books' tables.

It is because you are one of the bounty hunter spammers of that time, merit/smerit start in early 2018 and you stop posting since early 2018 until today. After merit/smerit started, some people did not post again which might be the reason you did not post again. But the main reason we can link to your account staying stagnant without ranking is because of your inactivity.

Registered date doesn't really matter as you haven't posted since 2018. You left the forum when merit system started, at that time you had enough activity to become Full Member. If you didn't stop posting you may had enough activity and merit to rank up already. If you use forum in read-only mode your activity stays same.

He may continue to post, but according to his post history, if he did not change and increase his posting quality after the implementation of merit/smerit, he can only have more activity, not merit and he will stay being a full member. I will not be surprised that if there is no merit/smerit implementation, this user would be a legendary by now but on a shit posting forum, but that was changed with the implementation of merit/smerit.

Yeh but i adding with you, In many cases, newbies who start posting make mistakes and think they need to increase their rank very quickly. But it seems to me now that in some cases a little more serious posting can have a lot of merits and there are many members who are always willing to help.

Also agree the point, Even if it is not possible in the first stage or shortly, it is possible to increase the knowledge and make oneself efficient through proper efforts. after that it is possible to gradually acquire the next ranks.

I'm talking about myself and the moderator deleted the post less than 24 hours after my post became somewhat normal.  It is proven that moderators in this forum have full control of low quality posts that cannot last more than 24 hours which is good for everyone.
The current rules in the forum are perfect for everyone now if there is any need for a demerit system I don't think so.  As per the performance he will qualify according to his performance which will show the merit.

What you say really depends on what their purpose is in the forum. You need to admit that not all forum users have the same desires and the same goals, it has been possible for them to post wherever they want regardless of the rank and merit system.

Do check out this one thread, I think you'll know what I mean. There are about 6775 users posting there since the beginning till now, some don't care about ranking, merit system or even signature campaign, but they are still very active. I quote 500 of them for your comparison.

If you didn't stop posting you may had enough activity and merit to rank up already. If you use forum in read-only mode your activity stays same.

Some people may stop posting because not only activity is used again when merit/smerit started in 2018, spammers and shit poster stop posting by that time because they may be alts or because they are not having merits which helps this forum to filter away spammers and many shit posters. He may continue to post, but according to his post history, if he did not change and increase his posting quality after the implementation of merit/smerit, he can only have more activity, not merit and he will stay being a full member. I will not be surprised that if there is no merit/smerit implementation, this user would be a legendary by now but on a shit posting forum, but that was changed with the implementation of merit/smerit.

Now that things have changed with the ranking system, only those being active, posting, and contributing to the forum's growth can have the opportunity to grow in rank, of which i also agrees with you that it's the best measure in fighting against spam and shitpostings, if a user remains on the forum and yet never know why he needs both activities and Merits for growth indicates he never read through the Meta section here to have discover the pinned threads on Merits and new ranks requirements, such people are the lazy type that enjoys a disadvantage but never care to know why, except for those that does not have the intention of staying here.

Being active and posting frequently, as well as contributing to the forums growth does not ordinarily give any user the opportunity to rank up or grow in rank so to say.
What exactly gives a user the ability to grow in rank is knowing how to earn merits, earning merits is the most challenging part for most users, and even as useful as the merit feature is to the forum, it has only helped to reduce shitposting amongst those who are really interested in ranking up.

There are still tens of thousands of user in the altcoin bounty board who don't care about rank, their major reason for being in this forum is to see how they can earn tokens(money), and as I see it, the day they are no longer able to earn from the forum, is the day they will stop coming online.

So indeed, the merit system have helped separate the wheat from the chaff, we now have a little pointer to knowing who are the serous contributors to the forum and who are only here for the gain.

You will have a pointer when you disable signatures, avatars for a year, only then you can really know, though there is no point doing that, because *we already know.

*= hard to detect for unaware members, but you can know when you see some people either don't wear sig and avatar, or they don't wear them for pay.
True contributors in this forum are developers, fair merit sources and DT members. The rest are just rehashing words over and over. I used to be one of them.😉

What you say really depends on what their purpose is in the forum. You need to admit that not all forum users have the same desires and the same goals, it has been possible for them to post wherever they want regardless of the rank and merit system.

Do check out this one thread, I think you'll know what I mean. There are about 6775 users posting there since the beginning till now, some don't care about ranking, merit system or even signature campaign, but they are still very active. I quote 500 of them for your comparison.

I got you clear mate, we all have different opinions and desires here on the forum, considers most of those from the list you made to be members already in the legendary rank which is believed to be the final rank for now, we also have other few members below the legendary rank that often post there, but to say the fact some of them where just catching cruise with the freedom they have in posting there without going by the strict purpose of the discussion line for wall observer, some fish for merits, some troll around there because i rarely see post getting deleted from WO despite it full of emoji, cliparts and gtif memes, but all that aside, everyone here is on a particular purpose and what we do here on the forum counts now or later in life and every of our steps must be on purpose and also tally with the forum's rules.
