Hello all BAMT users,

I would like to request that we now start a bounty to have cgminer integrated into BAMT as cgminer now has an rpc interface per this thread -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=52466.0

I will start the bounty with a 30 btc pledge. I am not sure about the exact specifications of the integration, so if others would like to spec something out, I would appreciate it. I would like for the OP to ultimately host the patch that this upgrade would entail. Maybe he would like to do this work also?

Did this ever get off the ground?

Hi teek,

The OP said that he is not interested in doing the work. We do have around 50 btc pledged. I just don't have the time to put this all together and my farm is working. I will still honor my portion of the bounty but we would need someone else to drive the initiative.

Best regards,

Where can I get a list of all the packages and their versions etc. contained in the latest BAMT Huh

Thanks !

Eg what is the :

-kernel ? 2.6 ? 3.1 ?
-ati driver ? 11.5 ? 2.5 ? 2.6 ? 2.1 ? 11.12 ?

Is there a GUI like lxde or openbox etc.

Is there a direct download ?

Thanks !

Hi bulanula,

Might be best if you installed the OS on a USB key and read the directions. It's pretty striped down so there isn't much.

Take care,

Just in case anyone runs into this..  We just picked up a bunch of MSI 890FXA-GD70 mobo's..  They came with bios ver 1.9 on them.. BAMT would not boot under any circumstances, kernel panic less than 1 second into boot process..  Flashed the bios's back down to ver 1.6, and the boards work fine with bamt now..  just FYI.

To all who cannot download the torrent:  Demonoid tracker seems to be not working.  I do not know if this is a temporary problem or not, nor can I fix it.
If someone who has the image wants to set up an alternate way to download, please do and post here.

Also seeding.

I'm having an issue getting BAMT to run on my miner. (5x 5870 on a GA-EP45-UD3P) When I boot, it initially loads fine, but when I get to the part where it would normally load X, the screen just turns black. Ctrl-Alt-F1 out works, but it takes me to a terminal running post-mining scripts which I cannot Ctrl-C to end. (nor do they end on their own) Ctrl-Alt-F2/F3/etc do not work either, they just take me to a flashing underscore, and again Ctrl-C does nothing. Any advice?

Check the extenders/adapters.  Try with none, add one at a time.

Same thing happens to me on the one box I've tried this on.  However I was able to login over ssh, edit the config files, and now it's mining despite no console.

I have a 8GB USB flash drive.
How does BAMT divide up the space?

Here is what it says when I do a "df" command
Code:
Filesystem           1K-blocks      Used Available Use% Mounted on
aufs                   1016312    851912    112796  89% /
tmpfs                  1687352         0   1687352   0% /lib/init/rw
udev                   1682136       176   1681960   1% /dev
tmpfs                  1687352         4   1687348   1% /dev/shm
/dev/sda1               823024    798304     24720  97% /live/image
/dev/sda2              1016312    851912    112796  89% /live/cow
tmpfs                  1687352         0   1687352   0% /live
tmpfs                  1687352         4   1687348   1% /tmp
/dev/sda3                97897     39286     53556  43% /home

Is the "available" in bytes? Or kbyte?

If the Demonoid tracker is ever down you can add

udp://tracker.openbittorrent.com:80/announce

to your trackers. I'll be seeding on there as well as Demonoid.
