The decision on 32 or 64 bits going forward will be made soon.  So far the results are overwhelming in favor of staying with 32 bit kernel and drivers.

If you need 64bit you can go over to Linuxcoin

64 bits has no real use for mining ( only maybe for CPU mining it is faster ).

7 ATI devices yes.  There is always the chance that ATI will release a driver that works with more than 7, but testing every version through 12.1 revealed none that do, so I wouldn't expect that to happen.

There is no reason to think any such limitation would apply to the new FPGA devices that are expected to replace GPUs, however.  So this really is a limited time issue anyway.

It was provided to all who responded to the message posted here requesting testers some time back..  at this point I don't think we need any more testers, a decision has to be made as several updates are pending and can't be released until we have the new image.  if anyone who was a tester hasn't given their feedback yet please do soon.

I moved my cluster over to BAMT from Linuxcoin today, love it so far!

I have mgpumon working great from the command line but I haven't had any luck getting the browsers based GUI view to work. It looks like you need to add a mgpumon.conf file with some parameters, but I can't find any documentation online detailing the steps.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Found it, two issues:
 1) /opt/bamt/fixer has to be run multiple times (once for each update)
 2) miner_id in /etc/bamt/bamt.conf cannot have capital letters or spaces

I am looking forward to checking out the new build!

Any ideas how to bypass amdoverdrivectrl limits on clocks and voltage? Is it a driver or card BIOS limit?
On windows I could use barelyclocked to bypass clock limits on all of my cards and trixx for voltage limits on some of them (didn't work straight away but after some trying).

Linux is limited to AMD's limits. Unless you flash the BIOS atitweak/aticonfig limits are what you get.

I can push my 5870s beyond standard Overdrive limits without an issue on BAMT, but 6xxx's may not.

Try instead an underscore in place of the period, like so:

As a way of expressing my gratitude for lodcrappo's excellent software and contributing in a way that did not require me to spend what little Bitcoins I have, I set up an anonymous FTP mirror of BAMT on an unmetered server. It can be accessed at ftp://50.53.21.166:3141/bamt/bamt_v0.4b.zip. I will add 0.5 when it is released to the public, and I'd be glad to keep the older versions on there in case anyone needs them.
