I've come to the conclusion that I have NOT invested more than I can afford to lose in this company, so I'm not feeling as "frothing at the mouth" anymore as to what comes next and if there's any news, etc. If it happens that Ken is some kind of amazing magician and gets this mining operation into a full roar, that will be a good thing and I will rejoice with the rest of you. If it doesn't happen, then oh well... yet another lesson learned in this here life.
At this point I'm (me) coming at this from the angle of a hobby, it's enjoyable to come in here and read when there's good news and lately it has become somewhat entertaining during the NDA blackout as well. If you've "sold the farm" to be involved in this operation or any mining op then I wish you and all of us much luck until the next huge advance in mining hardware comes along. Anyway, I'm going neutral on this whole thing and will just continue to hold my shares and watch from the sidelines.
Much luck to all of you in all your current and future ventures.

I am holding shares and was looking to purchase more untill the sudden rise in BTC price. Now im just going to carry on with the little shares I had.
However this is the way I think/hope things go. I do think Ken will produce the goods and ship on time no matter what is said on this thread. From what I have gathered from his posts is hes quietly getting on with it. I think we will be shipping Mid - end of November. I'm looking forward to using the colored coin to hold my shares.
Anyway to cut a long story short my target is 0.02. I think we will achieve this.

Just made my transfer. I look forward to our new exchange or the colored coin implementation, whichever comes first. Also looking forward to a financial report and our sample chips, both of which I expect to hear about soon.

The new exchange will come, and the colored coins will be added to the backend once that is ready. I'm guessing the exchange will go "live" (no trading.. just storing 'direct shares' and paying dividends) around November 7 which is the deadline for non-verified Bitfunder investors to tender their shares. We may also be able to do share trading with built-in escrow before colored coins depending on what the lawyers say. Hopefully the decentralized colored coins approach will alleviate the regulatory burdens that have come down on BTC-TC and Bitfunder.

Hey guys, I'm not Ken but I did get a PM from him that I thought should be passed on. Here it is: Do we have to play twenty questions or can you tell me at what point that timeline starts? "In 9 weeks." Means nothing if we don't know when that starts. Thanks! We will be making a major announcement in the next few weeks. Context: I was asking Ken when the timeline for the 9 weeks to test chips actually started and he was being evasive. I PM Ken quite a bit and I cannot recall him using very many adjectives so when he says "major" my ears perk up. Cheers.

I think the "major announcement" will be that the chips work, normal volume production has begun, and hopefully some specs (hash rate, power consumption, chip size, cooling solution) along with something about when the first miners will ship. I have a feeling that the NDA is extremely ironclad and Ken's hands are tied as far as releasing information about development until that point. eASIC seem pretty secretive about their goodies.

The moment Ken releases some good news, the BF share price is shooting up to 0.004.

Cheers knybe. Like you say investing is stressful only when you are in too deep. It's always tempting to get to much exposure when you have the potential of huge returns so I wouldn't blame anyone for that especially as the btc phenomena is a new and unknown arena. But anyway in this case atleast we have a chance. “We choose to go to the moon in this decade and do the other things. Not because they are easy, but because they are hard.” lol

Not wanting to put too much of a downer on things, but an upcoming 'major announcement' is not always a positive thing: 'On September 10, 2008, Lehman Brothers announced a loss of $3.9 billion and their intent to sell off a majority stake in their investment-management business, which included Neuberger Berman. The stock slid 7% that day.'Just sayin

Hey finlofs I guess you haven't been round here long. Everything in your rambling post has been gone over time and time again. You are repeating yourself like a mad man. Read page one, then take a chill pill. Alternatively sell your shares the stress is killing you. lol
... i know yall like to point out icebreaker's bad trade he made by turning 120k icedrill shares into a sierra, but at least he turned his "worthless" shares into something. ... You do realize that is Sierra is officially worthless? His best bet was to get it inside of October, which did not happen. http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/a/854deda93aHis grand investment turned out to be just as good as ours. Except we have ventures like ActiveExchange and future models to potentially profit off of. Can I ask a legitimate question? How is difficulty rising so fast/hard when the people producing the machines are starting to find it hard to get a decent price per g/h ratio? Who is adding the difficulty? Is there a private company who has some next level generation ASIC? Or is it just a whole bunch of people new to Bitcoin buying miners and not actually realising that they aren't really profitable? I just ask as I'm curious if we will reach a point where people will realise that the difficulty/profitability ratio is not worth it and ditch their mining equipment, thus resulting in a difficulty decrease?

They wont ditch since the buying price is the big cost. Power cost wont be the factor for some time. Diff is added because of so much preorders. People dont realize how big diff will be when they will get their miners. And others dont bother about that because they calculate in USD... though they miss that it would be better then to invest in btc only simply.

Cryptostocks or Bitfunder with a VPN based out of Europe (and clear cache/cookies).
