Is there any airdrop available from Bitfence ICO ? I know that there is a bounty available, because there is a thread for that.

Nope and I’m hoping they don’t I rather they maintain a high value by giving away as few tokens as possible I think a limited amount for bounty and a small amount for marketing but for airdrop I find that doesn’t do much for the teams that have airdrops

You're right, airdrop is good but has been known to cause more havoc than good because it took them little or nothing to get the tokens and is human nature to take free things for granted, bitfence has been doing well and is best they stay that way rather than open any door for free airdrops at the moment, tokens should be streamlined to be gotten through bounties
I prefer bounties over airdrops too, you can get a lot more in a bounty then in an airdrop and a lot of people usually dump their tokens if they have received it from an airdrop.

Well, I don't totally agree with this. I feel it's against the general belief that bounty hunter do most of the early dumps in market. I mean just like you said you get more tokens from bounty activities and the more the token you have the greater the value of a coin who's price is $0.001

You are right about bounty hunters having a bigger impact on dumping on market, especially if the bounty tokens are released on a specific date.

The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing

Hi i found your answer on their website here https://bitfence.io/, it says they are accepting ETH, BTC, LTC, DASH i do not think they are accepting Fiat.

Most of the Icos don't accept fiat money, but sometimes they will allow it. For me it is better to invest with the crypto coins, because you will not have any problems with your bank.

Thanks, friends for sharing the details. I don't expect Fiat option but I was expecting multiple cryptocurrencies as an option to buy BitFence tokens. Its good to see they have kept 3-4 options.

Anilbg, this below link also will help you to participate in ICO. Each and every steps are mentioned there with snapshot. Please check below link.

Doesn’t seem to be slow to me they’ve got good partners and some decent marketing but then again I think every ico can do with a bit more advertising as no matter what advertising you do for a project more is always better

I've seen similar stingminer on their telegram channel, i don't think there's a current video/demo at the moment there's a GIF tho but an actual video will be nice perhaps in time a video will be made.

The live demo will be have more impact on the investors than anything else. Everyone wants to see how this will work, it would be really nice if bitfence release a video about that.

No noise or heat? So this means testing already started? Wow that's good news. And if product do it's work quietly then what else we need.

Of course there's no noise, the raspberry Pi is a fanless computer. Remember this is NOT mining like ASICS. This is software that runs on your network, think of it more as a masternode in terms of tech, not a BTC miner. You get rewarded for uptime and 'mining' hackers fingerprints, you are not solving blocks.

Good explanation and important for people to know the difference between mining "fingerprints" of hackers via the honeypot which is setup and seen as a client machine with vulnerabilities purposely set up to allow hackers in to see what kind of attacks they are using to protect themselves from it.

I prefer bounties over airdrops too, you can get a lot more in a bounty then in an airdrop and a lot of people usually dump their tokens if they have received it from an airdrop.

With bounties you get to do actual valuable work for the ICO rather then just supply a dummy email or join a page. I think bounties add more value when it comes to content generation that is mostly healthy for the community.

Exactly, the project actually benefits from bounties with somewhat promotion, an airdrop is a way of advertising but not exactly for the right reasons, just advertising FREE MONEY essentially. I much prefer bountys as airdrops can impact a coin value of the project

airdrops have become a real epidemic. some threads or telegram-channels were completely unreadable by airdrops and then I avoided these projects.
Bounties are a good thing. i find it better, when i have to do something for the tokens.
and usually, as a participant in a campaign, you get to know the project better and maybe you invest something yourself.

The chances of you dumping a bounty token is very minimal compared to airdrop, it takes a lot to still hold an airdrop token because it was given completely free unlike bounty where work done is required, I think Bitfence has got some bounty running in bounty0x

It wasn't like this in the first place but desperation has led many to apply such strategy and at the end, you get a bunch of people whose real aim is to dump at any given chance but real investors understand what it takes to hodl because is their money on the line and they don't intend loosing it without some discipline

I think bounty hunters are unlikely to dump if the project is good. Still your argument is valid and it may be a concern. I think what would matter is the team's execution. If the team is able to demonstrate capabilities that would be a real win.

"runs with no noise and heat"?? That's strange. Is the stingMiner not made of mechanical parts that undergoes mechanical motion? It will really be interesting to know how mechanical parts work without emitting heat.

it is just a RaspberryPi, so there are no mechanical parts.
I do not know the exact function of the Raspberry, but the mining will probably need as little power that the Stingminer does not get warm

I don't think so they need more marketing. Sale is going much better. You have to be check raised ETH. Almost 49% ETH they recieved from investors and how you says sale is going slowly.

Since the software is to run on the PI I am guessing they monitor ports for all incoming activity and accordingly track what goes in the network. Add to that I think most of the heavy processing is handled by the server and not the PI.

Exactly, the Pi just transmits data, there is no processing or anything done by the raspberry pi itself, it's just forwarding on the data to the Bitfence platform
