An update: Thomas is on travel. He's headed to facility #2, in fact, as we talked about in one of the rounds (I forget which one, there's a lot of Rounds ). The payment processor is still down. We're actually switching some things over to a different payment processor and cart software. So: sorry, orders will be down for a little while longer. There's *still* major site redesign work to be undertaken shortly as well. BTW and FWIW: the odds are good that one or more X-3s will still be bought by the DZ MC before shipping. == Fun fact I found out last night: On BTCGuild at least: Team DZ has more active hashrate than Poland and the Russian Federation. https://www.btcguild.com/index.php?page=rankings§ion=teamsI wasn't even aware of this until recently and none of the co-op leaders pointed this out to me, because they're not big on tooting their horns. Even funnier: Most of our ordered hashrate hasn't even arrived yet if you subtract the running total in my sig from what you see here, and we are already competing with entire nations and the ASIC mfgs. themselves when it comes to providing mining hashrate for the Bitcoin network.

yes because it's currently the only viable mining option for 2014. Most retail equipment hashing right now will be paperweights by mid 2014.

Do you guys know already what pool you will be using? It would be lovely if we could use one other than Ghash.IO The percentage of hashingpower they are controlling lately is really disturbing, and i don't think we should contribute even more to an already borderline unhealthy situation. Any plans already?

Any plans already? If this is true, then is Ghash.io on the wrong side of that "border": https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=327767.0Santoshi warned exactly about entities like GHash.IO. I don't know if GHash.IO are honest and I have nothing against them personally, but for the future of the coin, I support everything that is a counter weight to them. At least when BTC guild was dominating in april-may 2013, they did something to reduce they relative hash rate, to protect the trust in bitcoin.

they have a big shake up coming in feb did you read the new tos? https://www.cex.io/tos I believe a lot of people will be in for a surprise come feb 4th. What is going to change from how things are now? Okay first you will need to upload a real id passport or drivers license. second you will need to give proof of address. electric bill phone bill etc. Lastly it is UK based which means if you are in the USA or any country other then the UK they reserve to restrict full access to the site services. This could mean you can't trade your nmc into btc. the real problem may be you will not be allowed to pull btc out of the account. the screwing around of exchanges for btc ltc nmc has happened more then once. cex.io and ghash.io are considered to be under the same umbrella so to speak. So even if you just point in home hash power at them you may get screwed. The TOS has vague wording about what services they will deny you but they have the right to deny you service if you are a non-UK member. ie a foreigner Burnside closed the Belize exchange btc-tc closed https://btct.co/faq?tab=tab5http://thegenesisblock.com/btc-trading-corp-shutters-operations-cites-regulatory-environment/more closings in the past bitfunder https://bitfunder.com/https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=244042.msg3378773#msg3378773both of the above companies closed up shop. fully. I am not saying cex.io will shut down fully. I am saying The TOS from cex.io is not good news if you use them a lot.

Wow! What a bomb. That will most likely slow their advance down. Good to hear, I am real concerned about GHash.IO, personally I have started saving my LTC instead of exchanging them to BTC because of the "GHash.IO risk".

how gloriously off topic. cex said they'll only need all that id stuff if 1 an account gets hacked/disputed or 2 for if they start trading fiat for btc... or 3 if they introduce fees.
as to which pool, sure dz'll do the right thing.
wish he'd beat knc with a big stick in the meantime.
