BA Update Late 5/12/2014
We have received the SMT assembled boards. We are now proud to announce that Black Arrow has the most power efficient Bitcoin ASIC on the market today. A single dual chip board is hashing with absolutely no errors at 1Ghz while using 150Watt at the wall, including the PSU loss. We have better efficiency than 0.75Watts/ghash at the wall.
Nice to read this. We have waited quite a while for some good news about this round. How long before we do hashing? Also what will be hash for 1 share 60? I have 5 shares that I kept. with the summer heat coming my in house mining is maxed at 7 s-1's. so your additional 5 x 60 = 300gh with diff going higher the 300gh will help. Thank you for hanging in there and not going poof like so many other sellers have done. All we need is a little bit of a btc jump lets say 750 by june 1st .

Could someone please just cut through the BS techno updates and give R17 members the basic need to know facts:
a) When will we be hashing?
b) What rate/power will we be hashing at(ie final specs of x3)?
c) Given that we will probably not make ROI even if we started hashing today, and taking account of the BA 50% upgrade, what are DZ doing to get the compensation adjusted so that an ROI can be made?
And i'm talking to DZ here, NOT minersource.

A) When minersource receives them, end of this week or next week. B) They are currently hashing at 100gh/s per chip, based on the units ordered and compensation given by BA there will be 3th/s per machine or 60gh/s per share + any OCing we can do (the 2th/s is expected to be able to hash at 2.4th/s) C) We have talked with minersource who is relaying our concerns to BA. We have already gotten minersource to allow us to use PSU's at no additional fee and no colocation fee's for OCing. If BA gives more it will be passed on. As for the updates, we will continue relaying all of BA's updates in this thread when only the big important updates were given people complained that there weren't regular updates.

Thanks for the updates, looks like It was a good move to hold all my shares (6) Anyway, why DZ doesn't have any new offers on their website?

Thanks for the updates, looks like It was a good move to hold all my shares (6) Anyway, why DZ doesn't have any new offers on their website? Somewhere DZ posted he wanted out of the coop due to the vicious attacks against him including nasty shit written about his daughter. He posts once in a while but in general I believe he is mentally burnt out over this. I held 5 of 12 and I am glad I did as the coop has been good to me.

We will not be making another GB like this- from now on if anything it will be for in hand shipping hardware with an individual hosting option. We ended up making a loss on most of the GBs, and between the Hashfast, KnC and BA problems, we decided at this time that it is not worth pursuing further at this point in time. I also didnt appreciate the personal attacks against myself and that of my employees, but not to the extent that DZ faced.

The way DZ was pumping out group buys without even giving much thought was sketchy to me. Especially when he tried to get people to go in on ATM's without even ironing out the logistics first. He was happy to collect BTC as quick as possible then everything goes dark. I'll be happy when I get my refund for round 7 if that ever happens.

He was happy to collect BTC as quick as possible then everything goes dark. I'll be happy when I get my refund for round 7 if that ever happens. The ATM's were refunded due to legal issues, all ATM rounds were refunded in full. The loss of funds was not a loss of funds but having to continue to pay for things that most other GBC's wouldn't pay for, if something was needed it was paid for by the Coop leaders, the first 4 rounds DZ personally paid a few hundred dollars into for costs that weren't expected without asking for any of the members to contribute to. This continued for a few rounds when random things would come up / additional costs. The low fee's charged haven't finished paying back all of these additional costs, and only getting people complaining that "nothing" is being done / given to them, makes it not worth being bothered to make more rounds. Simply put its not worth it to split the machines up to multiple people, any further "Rounds" will be for entire machines shipped to you with a hosting option available.

Also in stock gear is easy to buy. S-1's s-2's grid seeds.
the group buy host is gone. almost no case does it pay for the miner or the hosted.

This as well, while hosting a machine can save you money on import / electricity its just not worth it to GB for either the coordinator or customer. However based on some quick math its looking like the DZ contracts are approaching 50% BTC back right now, plus a payout occurring tomorrow.

No they were offered for about 2 months on the DZ website, a simple mining contract that increased slowly in hashrate up until 30gh/s.

Black Arrow Update 5/15/2014 We have stocked all required parts, except the LCDs and cases for X1 which are due to be delivered next week. The miners are in production including the X1 boards. Several software issues have hold the shipment for few days but we expect to start shipping any day now. http://ecointalk.net/gallery/album/22-15-may-production-update/

Clearly not, DZ communication is piss poor. I was also disappointed to note thomas is now part of minersource, so any DZ neutrality that was there is definately out of the window now.

DZ himself has not been online/involved for months due to his personal issues- so what would you like us to have done, dropped all support for this GB?
