Support have answered my simple request to find out why I cannot move my bitcoin off their exchange with an invitation to be a market maker. Apparently the market you see on hitbtc is supplied by a third party.

What is the difference between a market maker and a normal trader ?
What are the benefits ?
How many btc do you trade for them to ask you to be a market maker ?

A market maker supplies the quotes via API and a BOT that change when the price changes at Bitstamp. They are buying at Btc-e and selling at hitbtc doing an arbitrage.
I see thank you .
They just put  a note on my account saying my verification has been denied but I'am welcome to use their platform as unverified, this means I can deposit but cannot withdraw funds .
I just tried to withdraw btc and that failed also .
This is very worrying .

Withdrawals of whole bitcoins is working but any fraction of a bitcoin fails.
Managed to make the withdrawals and again they were immediate ,so I think there is a bug somewere in the software .
One other thing that worried me about their bank ,is that it is in the area were there is currently a war going on .
Estonia are mentioned in this Kiev /Russia war any thoughts .?

Withdrawals are working even faster today. Took less than a minute.
Got an e-mail to say they had some maintenance but withdrew 0.2 just now and it was fast again.

Edit :All my withdrawals went through flawlessly today .

Shame they do not have market orders ,which is a surprise for a new trading platform.

My question is how does the market move with no market orders to move it by traders???

I totally agree! Hitbtc, are you going to implement market orders?

Secondly, I wanted to ask what amount of coins I can withdraw per day?

Dear Dinione,

Sure, we are planning to implement market orders in the nearest future.
Regarding the limits, an unverified user can withdraw 100฿ or 5000Ł per day. Verified users are able to withdraw 10 times bigger amounts.

One other suggestion is to have an option like Bitstamp were the amount in Fiat can be "ALL".
I have a few $'s a few Euros and a tiny amount of BTC ,simply because you have to specify exact fiat and exact price ,it would be cleaner to have an "all" option Even if we still have to specify price until market order is implemented.
To me it seems very amateurish to have the latest technology yet no market order and will deter lots of potential customers .

I've been saying this is a scam since page 1.

Get your coins out.

They obviously don't have enough coins to support withdrawals.

Are we seeing another MtGox here?

Get your coins out!!

Quote
This is getting to be a joke. When someone comes to me and says "how do we open a successful exchange", the first thing I say is "Put your damn name on the site with a legal corporation and you are already the top 5 exchanges without any volume"
This is what I get from my research:
“HITBTC” was founded by “Ullus Corporation”. The company was incorporated in 2013 and claims to be licensed as a financial company. Operating accounts were opened in “SWED Bank” and “SEB Bank”. Swedbank AB is a Nordic-Baltic banking group offering retail banking, asset management, financial, and other services with Stockholm. The latter Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB is also a Nordic bank Its activities comprise mainly banking services, but SEB also carries out significant life insurance operations and also owns Eurocard.
Ullus Corporation's website is down (ulluscorp.com), but looking at a cached version of the site it says "The company’s headquarters, since its inception, are located in Hong-Kong" and also repeatedly talk about their Financial License, but don't say from which country. (http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:http://www.ulluscorp.com/)
This is where it get's interesting, the company also registered CatPay.com which is some sort of a Bitcoin wallet. Both domains are now under private registration and try to not be connected to each other. CatPay's customer service line is in Estonia.
Both of those domains are owned by ulluscorp.com which has been taken down. You can easily get RAW versions of the old Whois file on the registration
ulluscorp.com (http://domainsigma.com/whois/ulluscorp.com) Registrant Name: Ricardo Singh Registrant Organization: ULLUS CORPORATION Registrant Street: Ricardo J. Alfaro Avenue, The Century Tower Bldg. CatPay.com (http://who.is/whois/catpay.com) Registrant Name: Oliver Girado Registrant Organization: Ullus Corporation Registrant Street: Ricardo J. Alfaro Avenue, The Central Tower Bldg, Floor 4 Suite 402-36 Registrant City: Panama City Registrant State/Province: Panama City Registrant Postal Code: - Registrant Country: PA Registrant Phone: +507.3605536 Registrant Phone Ext: Registrant Fax: +507.3605536
Anyways, I'll have some of my friends in Panama check out their office to see if it exists.
For now, STAY AWAY.
