2) lolz at LTC in general.  Micon's advice:  there is only 1 bitcoin.  do not touch LTC, it is going to $0.0

Love you but worst advise ever. BTC is nothing more then a concept. Concepts can be improved...........

"The Icon" clearly does not understand free-market competition.  Cheesy

LTC is not an improvement. This is just a copy of with a modified method of encryption and lower defense.

Meh...I don't know enough about the software to speak intelligently on the subject of improvement.

I DO know that the market will decide, though.   Wink

Last thing im gonna say cause i didnt mean to start a mini thread within a thread, but how do you figure lower defense?

Time to update the rake. Currently rake cap is over $5, so if you want to advertise that you are cheaper than the industry standard you need keep up with the price.

It will be updated today.

NL and PL 6max and 9max have a global 10 chip (0.01 BTC) max.
Limit and all HU games have a 7 chip (0.007 BTC) max.

All rakeback still applies.

3) Just got off the phone w/Freemo.   Server side improvements continue at a furious pace, including fractionalizing the chips to once again spread microlimit cash games.  This is going to take some time, but the boys are cooking it up.
So would this be a temporary downtime while 1 BTC gets changed to, say, 10,000 chips instead of 1,000 and all the existing users get a zero added to their account balance?

No, it means you will be able to buy in for say 50 chips to a ring game and make have blinds of  .25 and .50 and bets in increments of .50.

Fractional chips are the way to go.  Revaluing chips would confuse people and someone would lose their shirt somehow.

Hopefully they won't have to go too far doing this; if BTC's value goes high enough then everyone's going to have to start playing in special micro-chips or something.  Revaluing chips would be pretty straightforward the way I described it but if they did it right as the BTC market crashed then it would be a mess -- but then again it would have been anyway as cashouts are manual and they'd be flooded with cashout requests, which might then be delayed.

That is simple for us to do, but it will result in misunderstanding no matter how many warnings we give. People will make mistakes about what stakes they play and size of cashouts (important if paying for something for example). People have loans and staking deals that certainly could be correctly adjusted, but we don't want to give people that hassle unexpectedly. Logs would become very confusing as well.

Fractional is more work, but it won't be long now.

There is a .05BTC freeroll every hour on the hour. Other events and freerolls happen all the time.

About those freerolls, I registered and am looking at the lobby now. I see one freeroll running, the next one at 3 am, another two, both at 5am. Those times are not very attractive to play for a european. One at a much more social 14:00, but that is labeled as apr 30th.

Quote
v0.2.11 BETA
- Implemented compatibility with server-side fractional chips.

v0.2.10 BETA
- Fixed the "Quit" menu item.

- Added in Google Authenticator field for logging in and transferring chips.
- Cleared the transfer chips dialog amount by default (thanks larrybird).
- Fixed bug where if a tournament was running and the gamelist selection was cleared while selecting the tournament, the
table info and register/unregister button would not function properly until game is reselected (thanks S.White,
L.Lindley & B.Dunn)
- Changed ring game's Waiting List button to Quick Join Button if table not full (thanks jaberjon).
- Made "Are You Sure?" dialogs for closing table confirmation non-modal (thanks jaberjon).
- Cashier window now pops up over top of lobby/tables if the cashier button is pressed while it's already open (thanks
jaberjon).
- Cashier Krill Time Last Updated now automatically converts to user's local time (thanks jaberjon).

- Made "No" the default button in the "You can check this bet. Do you really want to fold?" dialog (thanks H.King).
- Prevented two table sitdown requests from being sent to the same table within the same second just in case user
double-clicks a seat. This used to cause server-side "IP already seated here" messages to be sent (thanks lolbillfrist).
- Fixed issue where "Copy to Clipboard" on the Cash-In dialog would copy the <b> & </b> tags (thanks wingman).
- Fixed bug where Time Request: 0 would show if time was called on a player and the bank amount was 0. (thanks fsb4000)
- Added cancelling pending withdrawals to the Pending Withdrawals dialog in the Cashier page.

Yes, .5/1 ring games are available now. Unfortunately, they can't be in the launcher until some bugs are fixed which may take several days. I added some manually and I can take requests for more.

Ah, my mistake. I'm not going to interrupt the game, but I'll make real 6 max now.

The new 0.5-1 games have a 5 chip rake cap while the 1-2 game has a 4 chip rake cap and the 1-1 game used to have a 2 chip rake cap.

Before when you clicked the bet slider it increased by big blinds and now it goes up 0.01 chips.

Am I alone in thinking krill freeroll blinds should be shorter?  Frankly, they're goddamn freerolls.  Eight minutes blinds is pretty damn close to actually playing poker, and when I'm playing a freeroll, I like a stupid shovament.

Version 0.2.12 is up now and fixes the slider problem.

Rake will be tweaked some more, but lower games will have higher BB caps.
