The state can shutdown MtGox, Vircurex, Bitcoin-24 (oops, already did), other "english" exchanges. But it can't shutdown BTC-e, coz it's a "russian" exchange. What do u prefer - to have ur fiat/coins locked one day by the state OR do business with the Russian?
I wasn't aware that Russia doesn't have a state. I thought the civil war was won by the red army, not the black one. In Russia money solves any legal issues. The state can do nothing against anyone who has money and doesn't play politics.

WARNING. STAY AWAY FROM BTC-e.
Unless YOU WANT TO LOSE YOUR MONEY in the (near) future. DON'T COME BACK CRYING THAT NO ONE WARNED YOU.
After the sad experience with bitshit24, I am very weary of putting coins on any exchange that is not in the following list:
1. MtGox 2. Bitcoin-central
Don't worry if you get bad rates or coins take a long time to appear. They have the least chance of running away with your coins.
Bitstamp has good reviews but he could just "pull a Simon". Do your research.

I should have read this post earlier. there are about 30 TRC just disappear from my account. PM to there support is not possible because they are fxxking busy, doing what? stealing clients coins? it's really outrageous, I thought I can trust the platform when I saw a lot of ppl trading on it, but it seems I through my trust on a pile of shit. my advise, take all your coins run and run fast before your account is wiped out sooner or later.

Huh? I've never even heard of Bitcoin-central. Just went to check and they have 0 volume. No I don't mean low volume, it says zero.

2. Bitcoin-central
Bitcoin-central currently has issues with Instawallet.org. Davout is gone, and Boussac is acting like an arrogant prick on the forums. Not sure if Bitcoin-central can be trusted at this point in time.

How does the international wire withdrawal work on btc-e? Do you have to provide loads of documents like officially translated passport and utility bills? Or is it painless?

Do they have wire withdrawals ? Me, they just referred to OKPay. No they have wire transfer and OKPay shown as separate options. There used to be Western Union option but they removed it now I guess. So my question is, are any documents needed with wire withdrawal (like the painful proccess on mtgox)?

Nope. Totally painless - you don't need any documents.
Minimal amount is $1000 and fee is 1.5% (minimal fee is $150)
I want to know when PayPal will be returned to withdrawal options?

Nope, not trollin'. I was genuinely interested. I figured out the problem, I went there and before I noticed volume, I changed from EUR to USD. Which (as of looking now) has 1 volume. But, EUR has decent volume. So I was just looking at the wrong currency. I havn't heard of them before though.

I'm having a difficult time logging into btc-e.com, I've tried on both firefox and chrome. When I click login, it simply reloads the page and re-displays the login boxes, no error message. I've tried refreshing my cache. Anyone else having a similar problem?
Edit: Nevermind, looks like it's confirmed, there are others having the same problem. Thank you Google Translate: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=29698.msg1882207;topicseen#msg1882207
Edit2: I'm now able to log in again.
