There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

u clearly have no clue what happened in the last month (MTgox crash + CT (as UTC Main Tradeplace) Hack, which both hurt the coin hard).
But go in sell your coins and cry later :-)

http://ultra.nitro.org/index.php?page=statistics&action=blocks

as u can see each one that finds a block get's 50 utc. so i feel betrayed.

You seem somewhat green in this field, so maybe another explanation is necessary: On average I get less than 1/10th of the blocks I find exclusively for me. The rest is shared accross the pool. I agree, this is exilirating to get one full block in 2 shares for oneself, trully excellent. But this does not happen all the time. (I have gotten quite a few blocks for my own personal use lately and that was only so excellent)

Sharing is not bad, because this is what you get when you can't find a block, so better than nothing, and in principle the real pool effect: instead of having 100% of the guys struggling to find blocks they would mine leading to some considerable idle time or orphaned blocks, they share them accross themselves and it's all for the better.

Now go have a look at your transactions list and try to find out how many shares did you get back from your beloved block. That might solve your question.

Im ok with sharing but i have a friend with one block found with so little shares that got 50 utc. if it's not standard i'm ok (sort of). I belived that was the reward for 1 found block. thank you for your time taken for explaining.

True, we should at least be at 0,0005 or arround 1/5 of VTC price but you know what, whales or should I say price manipulators must decide wether they like rockets or submarines. At this diff and price UTC probably not most profitable coin to mine, in term of potencial price it is. So ... lunar mission or yelow submarine the question is.

Possible problem at cionmarketcap:

We are at 149 because the api is not getting the coin information correctly.

Also

http://supply.ultracoin.net

is not getting the coins in circulation, maybe thats why the api is not working, although the ultracoin block explorer is showing the correct amount of coins in circulation.

Today is a big day for Ultracoin and the Ultracoin community.

Today is a day that everybody needs to hear about UTC. So tweet, e-mail, write, shout to your friends about it.
Let the whole cryptoworld know about our great community, where everyone is supporting eachother.
From a business perspective, pool owners should be competitors. Instead, they've been helping eachother from day 1.
We've had a series of very unfortunate events, but thanks to very loyal community members, I feel like we're stronger than ever.

I got interested in this coin because of it's possibilities as a coin, I had no idea how community driven this could get.
I can't thank you guys enough for what I've seen in the past month.

As everyone knows, we're currently #1 on the Cryptsy coin vote contest.
We're not there yet though, so keep voting.
If we do get on Cryptsy, please remember not to sell ur coins cheap.
The profit might be very tempting, but this is a coin with a future. It would be wise to hold.

Remember to keep on voting and replying for UTC on various places:

I fear my english isn't sufficient enough to make a good step by step tutorial about
compiling cgminer on bamt.

Here is the easy way:
http://com.moogle.at/SMOS-UTC-Linux1.5-2GB.zip

I'll guess you know how you can write this image to the stick, then you just need to
edit the /etc/bamt/cgminer.conf to suite your needs and restart mining with

/etc/init.d/mine restart

EDIT: if someone is interested in writing a good tutorial, I'll put it on the wiki.

I can only agree and concur with bumface's initial vision that was "a coin by the people for the people", despite his habits of deleting posts and the fact that this sounded like a big pile of bs in the beginning.
But for some reason I joined.
Nobody's perfect and were it not for your stubborness this might not have worked as well so far.
I know how stubborn dutch guys can be and sometimes hated them for this.
This was until I discovered I could as stubborn as them...

I won't cite names here because there's a lot of them and I could forget a few. All of you have been instrumental in building a community that made it through this inaugural crisis (even though I really would have liked to buy for even cheaper prices 2 days ago because I knew we would go up: wasn't that obvious? -Why don't people dump when they are told to?...).

Nothing is done yet because there's a couple of hours left and we know these TAK people might want to tackle us in the last line.

And nothing is done because people who expect prices to only go up from now are a bunch of ignorants who have never heard about fluctuations. So we're going to have to fly through some turbulences in the near future, obviously.

This to reassure our young blood who bought coins with his mother's money: the troubles are not over, and do not spend more than 20 minutes per day trading or trying to otherwise you're going to make a lot of bad moves. The best course of events is most likely to sit and wait a few {weeks, months, years}. Up to you to decide. But learn to read indicators and understand:

o what's the market and where does it go,

o what is the value of what you are holding right now and that it should not be mistaken for its current price.

In any case, get ready for eventualities. Buckle up and let's carry on doing what has been done so far.

I only got 11.62 UTC in 19 hours on leetpools with 173 hashrate 5% reject 0 HW. I should get a minimum of 23 per day if the difficulty is 7.65. So I should get more than 23 because diff is flactuating between 5 to 7.
i have allreadu talked that he is steeling..always had 40-50% less on leetpool

I had exact the same feeling when I have mined potcoin in his pool some days ago.
