i was thinking - if i were to do a pitch invasion at the world cup final or superbowl final with a banner saying "Ultracoin 200X faster than Bitcoin" - that will drive the price up to $5-$10 as 2 billion people will see it. - I will probably get a few months in jail but would leave jail a millionaire!? thoughts . . .

I'd chip in for your bail bond Cheesy

2 billion people would watch superbowl? WOW!

I thought this kind of event only interested half of the rednecks from the midwest plus some bobos in NYC and in DC...
Maybe more during the tv ads as it tends to be more followed than the real issue if I'm not too carried away.

Can you elaborate on the viewership demographics surrounding this event?

Not too late, I'm mining with two rigs again, cause UTC is profitable to mine now and MORE profitable to mine and hold.

Nitro should open their new pool and force miners with higher fees to switch to their new pool or some other pools. It's logical that noone wants to cut the siting branch but new pool could be way to spread the hash power.

OK EVERYONE GET OFF NITRO POOL RIGHT NOW ATLEAST HALF OF YOU GO JOIN OTHER POOLS.
WE ARE ALL STEPPING ON EACHOTHERS TOES HERE.
THE ENTIRE POINT OF CRYPTO IS TO BE DE-CENTRALIZED,

You are hurting other pools by mining on Nitro , what is so hard to understand?

If it doesn't change, the only pool left will be ...nitro because as it stands it is becoming increasingly difficult to mine on any other pool.

having such a large % of miners on one pool causes orphans on all other pools, other pools are solving work before nitro and their work is getting thrown out because nitro didn't get the memo.

As it stands tomorrow I have to stop mining this coin because
1) Any coin that has only one pool is essentially doomed to fail so there is no point in mining it.
2) mining on other pools atm sucks with the amount of orphans nitro is causing.

By mining on nitro, you are ensuring this coin dies.

+1

Nitro needs to raise fees to 15% to re-distribute the network a little, it just has to happen, there are other good pools out there, there is no reason for everyone to bum rush one single pool.

Anyone got some good settings for 270 and 270x?

I am getting 180 with my 290s and 170 with my 280x but the others seem to be less than 1/4 of scrypt.

Try: http://thepool.pw/ultracoin/

The pool has 0% rejects so far, and it is setup on a 1gbps network with a lot of network connections, so i doubt it will be beaten in speed when finding a block, this pool really has some potential if only more people can join us!
