Thought I'd share with you traders (and people watching the price) another thing to look at. Right now, trades are very slow - look at the latest trades listed and you'll see they are minutes apart. When this happens, prices go down. You'll notice that trading is very low on all coins on all exchanges.

When I want to buy in low on something, I do it when trading is slow like this. If I'm looking to sell, I look for a coin where trades are close together. Just a hint!!
Yep! It's pretty simple. Buy on weakness, sell into strength. Oldest market strategy that I know of.  Cool

You'll never know what you're living for until you know what you're willing to die for.
Never look back, something might be gaining on you.

There is no spoon.
There was no cup (go read investopedia again about what exactly is a cup with handle, this was no cup by any measure).

Disclaimer: this is NOT an investment advice. Therefore if things happen differently do not come back and tell I was wrong. I am only presenting what is a possible outlook based on the best of my current market knowledge as well as peer opinions.
This is by no means a prediction that intends to be 100% accurate.
The intent is to get some feedback.

There are chances probability that BTC will be going to 550 soon, then bounce to around 600, then dip again to around 480.
All within the next 2 weeks.

There is the possibility that the 2 next weeks be bearish for UTC as well as every other alt, so don't be afraid to hold, baghold and switch off your computer if you're afraid you could panic sell.

Everything will come to an end, then up again and for the better.

On word: HOLD.
No one needs to sell at a loss, no one.

This is SO important. The BTC price is a bellweather for the alt coin market.

I disagree there.  BTC retreats, people pull there money and hold, or look for somewhere else to get some return.  Cryptocurrencies have a lot more in common with gambling than traditional investing.  And gamblers don't stop gambling just because one bet seems to be a loser, they continue trying to "win".

And for everyone else watching the price so much, while simultaneously claiming this is a long-term investment and people are stupid to sell this low, I'm calling BS.  The only people that watch the price that close are the ones that are looking for a good price to either buy or sell, and the buyers don't complain when it goes down.

Hi to all!

I have some questions about mining of this coins.

I have r9 280x video cards. On scrypt i have 750 kh\s and it's okay.

1) On UltraCoins i have 150 kh\s on each card. It is normal hash rate for this coin? Plz write how many mh\s you have on which card?

I testing it on 4 pools.
http://ultra.nitro.org/
http://utcpool.com/
http://ultra.minepools.us/
and
http://ultra.coinsnipers.com/

But the problem, than on Dashboard pools i have much smaller numbers.
http://ultra.nitro.org/ - 62 Kh\s
http://utcpool.com/ - 40 Kh\s
http://ultra.minepools.us/ - 53 Kh\s
http://ultra.coinsnipers.com/ - 49 Kh\s

Is this normal?

My cgminer-3.7.2-sj-0.02 settings are:

Code:
"load-balance" : true,

I've changed your code above, put that in.  You're almost certainly getting HW errors if you look at your miner.

And guys, you can't play the technicals like the stocks and forex, crypto is its own beast and has it's own technicals.

Somebody have omptimal cmos settings with r9 290 sapphire cards.

When i get smos running jane-scrypt i only get 50.00hash per card. If i tweek it's 40.00 or even 30.00.
The fact it's such i round number thinks it's not only a gpu setting but also like a maximum or something.

Hope somebody can help me.

Seems unlikely you need to change any of your bios settings.  I feel like we've tried to help you before.  what happen with the last settings we gave you?  What are you using right now?

Hardware errors is HW? Yes, i have a lot numbers there =)

I changed thread-concurrency to 16384 and intensity to 12

Now HW is 0, Kh\s 130. But 130 on the pool too.

Thank you. 130 is the norm-high hash rate for r9 280x?

Yes, you can up your clock speed to 1050 - 1100 and get between 135 - 140 fairly safely. I've yet to have a card not work at 1050 on scrypt-jane.   Your hashrate is where it is supposed to be now for the settings you have, though.

Hello,

Im on 7850 and Im on 10% agains my scrypt rate.

On scrypt i have like 360k/s
On scrypt-jane I can get 30-40kH/s without HW arrors.

Ive tested several pools and three version of cgminer. Im on linux.

Here is sample with two intensity settings:
Code:
"scrypt-jane" : true,
"sj-nfmin" : "4",
"sj-nfmax" : "30",
"sj-time" : "1388361600",

"intensity" : "11,18",

"gpu-engine" : "1050",
"gpu-platform" : "0",
"gpu-memclock" : "1500",
"vectors" : "1",
"worksize" : "256",
"lookup-gap" : "2",
"thread-concurrency" : "8192"

I can be on I 11 without HW, I12 will het HW. I18 is my common scrypt range, but impossible without HW.
Code:
 GPU 0:                | 31.73K/31.78Kh/s | A:320 R:32 HW: 0 WU:36.3/m I:11
GPU 1:                | 63.81K/63.74Kh/s | A:192 R: 0 HW:58 WU:13.8/m I:18
Ive tested also several memcore/engine settings (lower, higher). TC8192/LG2 seems fine or I can go to TC14144/LG8.
No idea what to try more. Ive been googling any trying like 50 different etting for last 4 days. Any tips?
People are reporting like 70-80% of scrypt range. I cant go above 10%.

Also tips for 7870 (R270x) will be great, Im on 90KH/s with those.

I'm not sure about the 7850, I assume you should be able to get around 60 out of it but I don't know the settings for it.  Your 7870 is pretty much running at expected rates.   Try raising your thread concurrency without changing your lookup gap on the 7850.  Also, how much RAM does this system have and how many GPU are in it?

Just a quick note: Crypto-Trade.com has created a 25,000 UTC Matching Challenge for the UTC Core Developing Fund!
Collect 7,500 UTC and we will donate 25,000 UTC on top of it to back future UTC developments.
Link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=506047.msg5576837#msg5576837

For those that didn't see it this is the offer from Crypto-Trade.com yesterday. Please make a donation big or small to the fund address - UQYa72meX9VCE4GYMu8uXu5YGipU9pTEzS which also published in the post - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=506047.msg5576837#msg5576837

The UTC community is always at its best when facing a challenge.

I have made a deposit of 250 UTC

KC

Don't forget this offer guys & gals, we are at 447 UTC at the moment. If you believe in UTC then it would be silly to let this offer fall through our grasp?

Also tips for 7870 (R270x) will be great, Im on 90KH/s with those.

I'm not sure about the 7850, I assume you should be able to get around 60 out of it but I don't know the settings for it.  Your 7870 is pretty much running at expected rates.   Try raising your thread concurrency without changing your lookup gap on the 7850.  Also, how much RAM does this system have and how many GPU are in it?

Ive try per 2048 from/t

5952 (my init settings generater by cgminer/no setting .bin file)
8000
10048
12096
14144 (last ussuable)
16192 (wont run cgminer)

Im on 2GB RAM on system. This ram is NOT user due minning. GPU RAM is something different.

Has there been any further chat to reducing the POS timeline for interest, and the time that the wallet needs to be online to qualify for this?

This would make the coin much more attractive for investing and holding short term.

There are chances that BTC will be going to 550 soon, then bounce to around 600, then dip again to around 480.
All within the next 2 weeks.

There is the possibility that the 2 next weeks be bearish for UTC as well as every other alt, so don't be afraid to hold, baghold and switch off your computer if you're afraid you could panic sell.

Everything will come to an end, then up again and for the better.

One word: HOLD.
No one needs to sell at a loss, no one.

This is SO important. The BTC price is a bellweather for the alt coin market.

[Same disclaimer as above]

I happen to like your comments and positive energy. Keep up doing what you are doing so well because we'll probably be going downer and downer until there are tears and blood in the streets.

Capitulation has not happened yet, do not forget this. So the best course of events is not to be at 100% in coins. Keep at least 50% fiat for when everybody will talk about suicide, divorce, repossessions etc. etc. This could take as long as 2 more months.

Until then: do not touch any of your cash and do not sell any of your coins.

HOLD!
