They are not 'picking' a coin. Its a 'tell us what you want' poll. Its clever what they have done really! They havent promised anything and are getting us to send them BTC.

Wish Mintpal would come back online!!!!

Wow, what an awesome effort on the Cryptsy vote!

Question for everyone - I'm looking for suggestions for a domain name for a UTC store. Thoughts? Ideally it will be something that will appeal to a lot of people, and will still be a good name when UTC is as well-known as bitcoin.

Are we thinking small product base, larger, peer, auction?  I didn't see for sure which was more settled on and that would change name a bit.

Few off head though to throw out;

- Ultra Trade Center   < Coin name connected
- Ultra Sales Company < Coin name connected
- Lightning Marketplace  <<focus here is fast transactions of coin and purchasing.
- Ultra Express  << coin connection and focus on speed

For fun
- Super Mega Ultra Sales Emporium Mega Marketplace

I'll come up with some more when I have some time to think.   Personally I like the "Lighting Marketplace" best.

PM'ing you the corresponding possible URLs for each of those as well.

Not 100% sure which type of market I'll implement first, but plan to include most of what you mentioned eventually. Retail, peer to peer, auction, coin swap, etc. I'd like to have something that starts small but grows along with ultracoin.

MintPal just tweeted: "Sorry guys! The matching engine got stuck once more and has now been reset, we know what is wrong. All orders have been processed in order." Sounds like they're coming back up.
