Hi, a little help to a lowly solo miner please Smiley
I have been soloing for a few days ( so know what it looks like when I get an Orphan or accepted)
Had the notification pop up in the bottom corner, telling me I had found a block, I am running the miner with CGWatcher and that said 1 accepted, and the miner gave a value of A: 519514 .

Is there some way that this was Orphaned or did something mess up?

I have made a copy of the wallet.dat and moved it somewhere safe, deleted the old one from Appdata and created a new address by starting the wallet again, see if that might do something different.

Any help welcome peeps, 50 UTC is a lot to loose for me Sad

Thanks

Did you give it time for the confirms?

I have the wallet.dat on 2 machines, although 1 is just open, not mining.
There was no confirms, no sign of it hitting the wallet what so ever, I have solved a few blocks in the last 3 days and have had only 1 orphan, but this issue has never arrisen before, normally, I flick to the wallet if I see the notification pop up, the coins are "immature" and take a while to get in to the wallet, but this time there wasn't anything like that, gutted as I only have 1 confirmed block so far today, that one would have been my break even point for the day Sad

"address not seen on network"

I have put the original wallet.dat back where it came from, restarted the wallet and it is in sync, did I fork myself somehow or something?

Just a question, why solo mining?
Not seeing a constant progress was very annoying to me, with pool mining you have a constant flow.

Been solo mining for 3 and a half days, day 1, 5 blocks, day 2, 3 blocks day 3, 4 blocks (but 1 was an orphan), day 4, 1 blcok so far and 1 mystery block.

Solo mining is averaging out better than pool mining, I was getting about 5 UTC per hour in a pool, plus it's more fun when you see 50 UTC drop just in there Smiley

Hmm, interesting.
But with my luck last time, I would get solo-goxxed and need a week for a orphan block. Wink

I'll better keep in the pool for now.

I mined DOGE ages back, when I was using my mac book pro, and then a little more once I got my first mini rig (2 x R9 280x) up and running, currently I am firing 4 280x's at UTC and 5 of them at Flappy coin :p Gotta have one silly coin to mine along with something useful (UTC of course ).

If the new coin addition on https://www.mintpal.com/voting

is indeed tomorrow, it is mathematically impossible to overtake PANDA, their vote per minute ratio is very similar to ours.

Maybe mintpal has trouble with the nxt wallet again, they would eventually add PANDA today.

I know you said you know how to check for orphaned blocks, but this sounds like textbook orphan to me.  Open up your debug window and type "listtransactions" without the quotes.  If you haven't found any blocks since that one, it will be the one at the bottom and the type will be listed as "orphan".

Also,

Is there a timeframe on when Mintpal is going to choose the next coin? Im willing to buy votes with BTC, but i'd rather do it at the last minute so we can lock in a win. Does anyone know a specific timeframe on when they will pick the next coin?

...I am also serious considering to buy votes with BTC, even if the DEV don't want to "invest" by that way....

I am thinking about "investing"  0,5 or even 1,0 BTC for buying votes...

So anybody can tell me what is the best (European/Amsterdam) time to make this transaction so it really can help our coin to be nr 1 and get listed Huh
