Can we make a deal right now Huh

I believe he is sleeping right now due to his time zone.

I am in his same time zone... Amsterdam....

But no worry... if he read this in the morning we are still not to late !

Bumface already said he doesn't want to, and doesn't even have the funds because he invested all the IPO money on asic scrypt miners.

Btw, Crypsty is also adding Benjamins as no.157 and Smartcoin as 158.

Hmmm no funds....sometimes you must invest "extra" for the future

Come on Paul don't worry, as our great leader said, good news are coming for UTC!

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Any way, i invest today 1,4 BTC and i can only wish and hope more people from our community can and will follow in the next 8 hours before MintPal is adding...

Very generous of you, thanks. I would love to help, but I dont have any BTC.

BTW the bids havent shown up on Mintpal? How does it work; do the "bought" bids get added separately?

That’s okay Mate. But you can vote what is very , very important also.

How the bought votes are added at the voting side of MintPal is for me also still a question.

I don’t know how long it will take between send/received BTC and adding the votes on the site.

I send a question about this to their admin and hope to here soon from them....

If anybody here has experienced before please answer...

Thanks for the tip Cointradero, if it happens again I will try that listtransactions method to see, as it is, the wallets are gone now and I am going to reinstall Catalyst 13.2 as I am having a problem with one of the cards now, RPM isn't going above 168, think the fan has died, today is so far being a bit rubbish Tongue

A big thanks also to bumface for helping out and suggesting a few things to try before finally starting over, great support from all, thanks Smiley

i recouped you 50 utc, dont tell anybody  Wink

Anyone else notice that bumface seems to have no problem with shelling out coins when it comes to helping the community grow while he has a personal policy of not bribing the exchanges to list UTC.  I think this says a lot about his character and vision for Ultracoin and it makes a lot of sense to me.  If we build a community around UTC, the exchanges really won't have much of a choice if they want our business.  This is how we will end up on BTC-e and ... Coinbase.   Cheesy  Don't sweat the small stuff and stay positive!  We are going to get there.

Welcome aboard, Mikebeav3r!  Mine hard.

I mined too hard, killed a GPU, lol.
Might have to take the single XFX DD out of my tower and use it as a temp solution in my UTC rig, I dislike having less than 1 MH/s dedicated to this.
Like you say, it's a good community, I tried at launch to get it set up, but at the time I only had a dual XFX setup, and getting my head round the SJ thing was too much, I have been keeping an eye on it since launch though and when the rigs arrived last Monday, I did a lot more research and put one to mining this and the other to that Flappycoin, the draw of 500k - 1 mil coins per day is way too much speculation to miss out on (plus everyone involved in it is equally nice as here), UTC however looks like a coin that is pretty useful, and some nice ideas / team behind it, shall stick with these two coins for the forseable future, just hope CT can sort their little problem out in a hurry, they were a nice, easy to navigate exchange, unlike some of the others kicking around.

Shortly after I sent you the above advice, I was sitting at my computer and it shutoff all of a sudden.  When it restarted, sparks and flames started to shoot out of my 7970 (this is not my mining rig).  I promptly unplugged it.  I'd never had a card fail that spectacularly before.  I'm now all paranoid because I can't tell if anything else in there is failing as I still smell something burning despite removing the 7970.  Not a good day for video cards.

Cointradero, I feel your pain. Last year I blew up 5 7950's. All over the course of 2 months. All resulted in a spectacular flash of light, puff of acrid smoke and well, lots of scorched boards. The scorch marks all were at the same location. Looks like I picked the wrong week to stop smoking.

Also,

Is there a timeframe on when Mintpal is going to choose the next coin? Im willing to buy votes with BTC, but i'd rather do it at the last minute so we can lock in a win. Does anyone know a specific timeframe on when they will pick the next coin?

...I am also serious considering to buy votes with BTC, even if the DEV don't want to "invest" by that way....

I am thinking about "investing"  0,5 or even 1,0 BTC for buying votes...

So anybody can tell me what is the best (European/Amsterdam) time to make this transaction so it really can help our coin to be nr 1 and get listed Huh

Just so you know I am trading UTC for mintpal votes

did you see the update they gave earlier in their thread?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=149458.msg5360853#msg5360853

I'm not too worried. I have coins there as well.  I'm sure things will be up for withdraw before long.  Note they do say manual, so there will be patience needed then I'm sure.

Edit: On a side note,  something coming shortly.....what could it be?  5 min

Like launch day for me , 100 MH/s unusable for weekend thankfully I rented as many rigs I could get my hands on

my ordered PSU's shipment was delayed until following Monday so I bought all the PSU's stocked in town EVERY fn PSU blew

I was using 550+ watt PSU's Per R9 290 most fried in 3 secs , their el cheapo 1200W psu blew 1 min running twin r9 290's

all the blow outs left me with what I thought were dead Video cards as they would no longer run on the day PSU's blew .. but worked fine when I was just about to RMA them on the Monday when my ordered PSU's arrived

mean while my ordered PSU's 650 watt running twin r9 290 just fine and the 450w are running single r9 290's just dandy

thermaltake pci-e PSU's ( dedicated for VIDEO CARDS ) an discontinued  2007 product finally needed Tongue got em really cheap as unwanted stock Tongue

Okay ladies and gentlemen;  boys and girls.  I have for you the first ever Ultracoin Quiz!!!

Step right up;  Step right up!  Everyone can play!  Warm yourself up with a little brain noodling!

On to the Quiz:

How many different words can "we" come up with;  using Only letters from the coin name Ultracoin?  You do not have to use all the letters, but must only use letters in Ultracoin.

I will start by giving one as an example:  LOAN

------------------------------

Rules:
* Each person can only submit 1 word for the quiz.  Choose wisely  Grin
* again you must use only letters in Ultracoin but do Not have to use them all.
* no using the same letter twice.  E.G.  ata
* must be a real word.
* do not post your address with your word submission;  winners will be listed and can pm then. - You can post your word guess with any normal reply you are doing already;  just add at the bottom :  "Ultracoin quiz: your word here"

Prize:  no quiz is complete without some loot right?
1st place:  5 UTC  10 UTC
2nd place: 2.5 UTC 5 UTC
3rd place: 1 UTC 2.5 UTC
(not a big fish xD)

**What determines the winner will NOT be made public until 24hrs from now.  I'll give out the prizes then / request address.  I have already PM'ed myself with what determines the winner for this quiz.
 proof here:

This will last for 24hrs; to give everyone a chance to submit words.  After this; I will post another screenshot of the same mail above, but showing contents (e.g.- what chooses a winner).  A screenshot will be used as posts can be edited.  I cannot edit a a received message.

note:  determination for a winner could be any number of things;  word length, specific letters, word answer number,  page on forum, random, specific words, etc.  It could be many things and you won't know for sure;  though it is already set.

Good luck Fellow UTC'ers.

Hope this helps with the lull in trade excitement right now.

EDIT: 5:07 AM  February 26, 2014 (UTC)
Prize doubled (heh)
FYI:
This quiz is just to help the community and add some fun.  I intend / hope to do a quiz each week, if this is something everyone likes.  I'll try to come up with different ideas to keep things exciting.  I do not wish the quizzes to be all about a reward; more of something that can be added casually as you post and for enjoyment.  However, I know it usually takes some amount of reward for many posters; which is understandable.   The quiz is real though and prizes will be given.

EDIT: 2:43 PM  February 26, 2014 (UTC)
About 13hrs left for the quiz!!   Still plenty of possible words.  Anyone who has voted before now may submit an additional word!
To help a bit, none of the 2 letter words will have a chance to win.

Edit: 10:25 PM February 26, 2014 (UTC)
Only 5 hours left!!  Many words still open, be sure to post a word using only Ultracoin and get a chance at the prize

Edit: 11:30 PM February, 26, 2014 (UTC)
We're getting down there for time on the quiz.  Time to reveal what determines the winner!!

The winner for this quiz is by:  Specific Words.   (one word for each place 1st,2nd,3rd)

I have updated the original post with all legal submissions so far.  Remember that there's a limit to how many choices you can submit.

Since the time is getting low.  Anyone can choose 3 words max.  All previous people to vote can vote yet again!!

Edit: 1:50 am February, 27, 2014 (UTC)
About 3 hours left!   Still many words.  You can look at the list of what has been submitted;  I will keep it updated often.
Tip:  you can look here: http://wordfinder.yourdictionary.com/unscramble/Uacilnort?remember_tiles=false
For all possible words.

Also, I pointed out previously;  the winners are not 2 or 3 letter words.  That should help as well.

I can say that None of the 3 specific words have been submitted yet. Take a look at all the words given so far and choose wisely.
Words given so far using only

Edit: 12:40 am February, 27, 2014 (UTC)
1 0f 3 winning words has been picked.  only 2 hours left!
Final Clue:
One of the prizes has a word with 6 letters.
One of the prizes has a word with 5 letters.
One of the prizes has a word with 4 letters.

I won't say which has been picked already.
