So how is MintPal as an exchange? Are they stable? What is their history like?

Can we expect to be locked out for several days without answers.. hoping to get our coins back?

It looks clear.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YVFgI_F4R7Y

From the terms of service:
MintPal accepts no liability for any loss however so arising suffered as a result of any failure or fault in the service provided by MintPal. Any compensation shall be at the discretion of MintPal.

But I didn't check that for BTC-e...

What the hell is goin' on up here?
Captain, the exchange is taking on lag.
Then pump it out, mister. You're the bloody engineer.
We can't get in. The server took a hit, and the network is wedged tight. Hiko's cuttin' it now.
Jesus Christ, the crypto! We gotta cut that damn thing loose!
That's not an option, Mr. Baker.
Skipper, should I head for the breach? I need an answer now. I'm losin' her.
Prices down 125%, Captain! Captain, take a look! That site goes down, we go down with it!
Well, that's a chance I'll take.
I'm cuttin' it loose.
Stay away from that exchange, mister.
I mean, what's so precious about your goddamn exchange, Captain?
The exchange is mine. I've leveraged everything I own against it, and it's not insured.
Christ, what's the matter with those people?

RIG A)  1x 280x = 700-800 kh/s @ ~$450-500 (scrypt rate, only for comparison)
RIG B)  3x 260x = 600-700 kh/s @ ~$400-450

Question for some of you that may understand scrypt-jane better than I do:

Let's say I wanted to build two budget mining rigs.  Considering base costs equal (mobo, memory, psu etc), I could build one rig with a single R9 280X and one rig with 3x R7 260X.  So hashrate and price per card breaks down as follows:

RIG A)  1x 280x = 700-800 kh/s @ ~$450-500 (scrypt rate, only for comparison)
RIG B)  3x 260x = 600-700 kh/s @ ~$400-450

Obviously, the 3x 260x rig will consume a little more power and produce extra heat, I could see the key difference being the amount of memory available for each card-- 3GB for 1x 280x vs 6GB (2GB*3) for 3x 260x.  If scrypt-jane increases the dependence on memory as time goes on, is it possible that RIG B would "out-mine" RIG A at some point in the future?  I guess the point would be, if someone wanted a dedicated UTC (or whaterver SJ-coin) mining rig, would something like RIG B be a better long-term config than RIG A?  Thanks for any input!
A better option might be 2 270X cards. About the same price as 1 280X with more hash rate and only slightly more power. And FYI you'll never come anywhere close to 700-800jkh/s with a 280X on scrypt-jane. 300kh/s +/- 20 is about all you'll get now and that will drop as the n-factor is raised.

You'll never know what you're living for until you know what you're willing to die for.
Never look back, something might be gaining on you.

2 270x's pulls 400k/h on jane at the current nfactor, thats what I'm running

Here are all the trading pairs for UTC:

https://www.swisscex.com/market/UTC_BTC
https://www.swisscex.com/market/UTC_LTC
https://www.swisscex.com/market/UTC_DOGE

Is it me or does this swisscex site look better than MintPal?
I also like how they have the candlesticks which MintPal doesn't have.

looks like I been scammed twice in 1 f week,

I hate this scammy crypto world.

I started with a few thousand dollars this time last week now I got 280$
They are gonna want to make the exchange somewhat secure before they open up for our coins

But still some news on how long it's gonna be would be nice and stop some folks panicking

I myself have about 2k UTC in there and would like to get them Sad

It went offline for a few hours maintenance 5 days ago.

3 days was in maintenance for like 24 hrs and its been 48 hrs since they said they would open for coins

It's been nothing but lies.

They were going off for a few hours maintenance at the weekend and haven't been back on since.

They said they were going off for 3 hours that was 4 days ago  Angry
So have I been scammed twice in 1 week?

Gox and cryptotrade both gone

2btc on gox

4k utc on cryptotrade,

what a week.
No one realised cryptotrade went offline for a few hours maintenance.

That was 6 days ago.

where are the coins gone?

all this worrying about getting on other exchanges should be more concerned about getting our coins back.
I understand your loss imginy. I lost half my bitcoins on gox. The other half went into ultracoin. We can't let ultracoin die. It needs to gain marketshare and momentum. If not we have lost it all.

Ultracoin is already dead for me most my stash was on crypototrade when they went off for maintenance.

looks like I already lost last week I had a few thousand dollars now I have 285$

I thought cryptotrade were close friends with bumface and koolio anyway what the f happened there.
Come on where our utc at craptrade?

i put up with their laggy terrible site for weeks and now this.

Pretty annoyed I been goxxed twice in 1 week.

So c'mon calm down and relax i didnt even put up all of your posts from today about CT

https://www.mintpal.com/market/UTC/BTC

Looks clear!  tx moving in and out for me.

Interface is alittle clunky and the balances take abit to update(f5 is your friend) but other than that it appears alright. Price is slipping but would expect it to climb once word gets out.

Some carriage function on the order books would be nice..they dont need to be so big.

Thanks Mintpal!
