Well I just bought 25 more BTC this morning on the risk that the bear market is over, wish me luck!
I'll use some of it to buy UTC (especially at this price) when I get home from work. If my assumption is correct about the end of the bear trend for BTC, then most other alt coins should rise as well.

My friend, this is the reason that I am with Ultracoin instead of any other cryptocurrency.  Almost all alts are focused on price alone.  They attempt to create hype and push the price up...but those pumps are obviously short lived because there is not a strong foundation to sustain volume at the increased values.  That is where we are different, and I take pride in our unique nature and commitment -regardless of price.  We are currently building a strong foundation.  As we all know, there are some loose ends being tied up.  Once our foundation is stable, the advertising push is going to be tremendous (in the very, very near future).  Strategically however, you have to realize that we all want UTC to be "neatly wrapped with a big bow on it" before we start using man hours and resources to pull traffic toward UTC.  The payment processor is part of that process. 

On that note, we are still looking for a Marketing & PR Director.

Currently, Ultracoin has an amazingly talented team - I mean it is absolutely impressive as most of us have discovered.  However, the team is small.  On top of that the "team" consists of real individuals who earn a living elsewhere and volunteer their time to Ultracoin.  I just want everyone to appreciate the big picture here and understand that good work takes time, and when you calculate the hours needed for projects versus the available man hours, you end up with a finite capacity. 

I say this everyone, not singling you out pieterjanvh:  Ultracoin thrives off of its community.  It is your crypto, it is our crypto.  The easiest thing for us to do is identify issues and shortcomings.  I mean let's be honest, it really takes minimal effort to address "problems".  The hardest, and far more effective option, is to answer problems with a solution.

So let's give this a shot.

Problem: UTC has a 5 BTC daily trade volume.

Solution:  Be sad.  Panic! Complain to dev team, perhaps they aren't aware of the obstacles at hand. Recommend that the dev team refocuses their efforts from developing a stellar crypto with all the right features, to something more imminent like price or volume.  Understand that no one is sitting on their hands, that all current efforts are logically prioritized, and that all team members are hard at work    The only solution would be to increase the capacity of the dev team to expand efforts into the Marketing and PR realm -which they have already identified (hence the TBD on the Marketing & PR Director).    The best solution would be to help recruit and/or identify potential candidates for the Marketing & PR spot.     Or since this is a community crypto, Ultracoin Community Members (UCMs) are afforded the opportunity, and even encouraged, to step up to the challenge and volunteer.

What is Ultracoin to you?

I have been asked a series of question recently, which in totality, have pushed me to reevaluate my perspective on Ultracoin. 

"What is Ultracoin?"  "Why do you like Ultracoin?"  "What is it about Ultracoin that sets it apart from other cryptocurrencies?"  "Why are you still buying Ultracoin -with little regard for current price value?"  "Why are you volunteering your free time to be a part of Ultracoin, why not other cryptocurrencies?" 

Prior to this post, I might have answered each question differently, unaware of my true subconscious realization.  I might have said something about speed, or maybe the community, or the continuous perseverance that has been demonstrated by the development team.  That is no longer the case.  In fact, I now have one simple answer that precisely defines Ultracoin as a whole.  I realized that Ultracoin is not just code.  No...

Ultracoin is a movement.

A movement is defined as a group of people working together to advance their shared political, social, or artistic ideas.  What an epiphanic moment I had when I realized that Ultracoin was interchangeable with the word "movement" in the previous sentence.  Just marinate on that for a second, please.  I think you will strongly agree that there is no better way to describe our Ultracoin.

The last time I checked, there were over 500 crypto currencies created and traded.  Most are created by the greedy, who inflate the price and cash out quick.  Currently, this is trendy -but it will be short lived.  At one time, many enthusiasts concurred that competition was good for crypto; it was seen as a catalyst for progression.  But for those of us who have been around since the "early days", we recognize that the once valuable competition has now been replaced by in influx of pure garbage, which is saturating the market and actually stunting potential worldwide crypto acceptance.  But history hints at the undeniable truth, that trends do die -eventually.  Fortunately, Ultracoin is not a trend.

We can probably all agree that Bitcoin was also a movement, a group of people working together to advance their political, social and artistic ideas.  Today, Bitcoin loosely grips its movement status.  Bitcoin has values...purpose, and it is that purpose which keeps it afloat and continues to advance its cause.  Bitcoin's goals never revolved around price alone.  And this, my fellow Ultracoin Community Members, is what separates the wolf from the sheep.

Ultracoin is a wolf, and perhaps it wears sheep's clothing too often -just another three letter symbol lodged somewhere between TES and WC.  But I am dedicating this post to exposing the wolf.  I am dedicating this post to exposing Ultracoin for what it really is, a movement. 

The Ultracoin Movement will continue on its current path...progressing...evolving...adapting...  The Ultracoin Movement is a reflection of our political, social, and artistic ideas.  If you take nothing else away from this message, remember this: "Ultracoin is defined as a group of people working together".  The code may change, the block chain may change, staking may change, the wallet may change, the team may change, the strategy may change, the value will change, but...us working together with a vision to transform the world is concrete.  This is the foundation we have built, it is an invaluable and a capable platform for sustaining Ultracoin well into the future - and we are all a part of it.

Are you buying?  LOL.  I hope so.  

I feel really bad... but I have to be brutally honest, I am smiling over these prices right now.  The lower it goes, the more I can afford to buy.  People are impatient.  They only want to buy when the price suddenly jumps and they think it might go to the supposed "moon" -although few would even know the moon if they were standing on it.  When something else jumps, like BTC in this instance, the flies swarm to it like a heaping pile of dung.  I continuously capitalize on the poor decisions of these types of crypto investors (roughly 80%).  They will be just as soon to rush back and buy in to UTC when the after the price rises 1000%.  Very few find success in this trading method, but continue to live by it anyway.  

Call me an optimist, but the way I see it, UTC is having a summer sale, not to be confused with the "going out of business sale" we see many other cryptos having.
