Evan instamined fernando by the way.

A ha !

You could have had two personalities there for a while. I shall hereby unify you into one.

Meanwhile, here's some fruits coming up for all your hard work....

4-Hour MACD about to crossover...

1-hour continuing its divergeance...

Long range (3 day) MACD diverging further to the upside...

Lets look at DMI:

Lets look at DMI:

....also, of course, increasing FUD levels in the thread.

This always occurs during a significant revaluation and is a sign of rising bullishness  Wink

On the adoption side, Fernando's account of the commercial basis for privacy in cryptocurrencies includes several compelling examples that I'd never even though of but that once you realise it are absolutely profound.

So many of my own questions have been answered with this interview - really great stuff ! (b.t.w. what is Fernando's handle on here ? - does he have and identity on bitcointalk ? he sounds like a great guy to have working on the project).

tok... you've been staring at charts for far too long my friend! Why its fernando, as in... fernando? Good 'ol fernando. Team member and DCT mod? As in Foundation creator fernando?  Grin

Yeap, that was me Smiley

Wow only 75BTC will wipe out all sell orders on cryptsy, while there is 700BTC on the buy orders.

This is going to shoot up if somebody decides they want a few more masternodes.

I'm behind reading as usual, so this announcement is out of context of what ya'all are talking about.... but....

I just finally joined the foundation.  I realized it would only get harder and harder to part with the dark as the price goes up and after hearing on that excellent interview here: https://letstalkbitcoin.com/blog/post/beyond-bitcoin-26-darkcoin with Fernando and Evan, that they hadn't raised as much as they'd hoped, I decided to sh*t and get off the pot.

Anyway, um... thought I'd turn this into a call for anyone thinking of joining the foundation, to maybe do so now before it ends up costing double or worse 'cause the coin may finally be on the rise for good?

Thanks for becoming a member!!!!

We are quite happy and grateful with the number of members we already have. The problem is that our community is still quite small, so the amounts of funds that can be raised is limited. We have too many ideas in which we would like to spend those darkcoins Smiley Once Darkcoin achieves world domination we are confident that the number of members will be huge and the funds will be enough.

Delightful, I will be chuckling over this for a while. Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
... Evan instamined ferando; sounds like the making of a new honorary title--IBE--Instamined BY Evan. Congratulations to Fernando IBE. first holder of the title! (Now some of you graphic whizzes need to make a certificate.)

Any opinion on blocksize limitations of 1M?

...
Then why isn't Doge #1?

Because Dogecoin has the same or worse fixed blocksize limitation issue as Bitcoin. Same problem with Litecoin, Namecoin, Darkcoin, Peercoin the list goes on. How far down the list does one have to go to find a proof of work coin that that is not a Cryptonote and is not plagued by this issue. What I find really interesting is that none of the close Bitcoin clones have jumped on the opportunity of dealing with the fixed  blocksize limit issue. Doge and LTC being the most obvious examples.

Edit: Peercoin is proof of stake and still has this blocksize limitation!

There is a hot hardfork discussion going on for bitcoin at the moment. Should we discuss this for darkcoin too? (I know everyone loves forks!)

Using Darksend, one Darksend transaction can be splitter into multiple transactions. I think it can make Darkcoin's blockchain growing very quickly.

Is there any solution for it? I have a very bad experience with Bitcoin because loading the full Bitcoin's blockchain take a lot of time.
The thing is, only a small percentage of Darkcoin transactions are Darksend transactions. The vast majority are normal Bitcoin-like transactions. The bloating problem is really non-existent. No need to worry about that!
To clarify, a 'Darksend transaction' is the same as any other, it just uses anonymised inputs.

Darksend is the process of pre-emptive anonymisation - denominating your balance and mixing with other users. This creates more addresses/transactions - and adds to the blockchain size. It will be a while before this becomes problematic though, and there are various ways it can be tackled, which I'm sure will be in place long before they actually become necessary.

I've always been in the camp that we should be proactive about the blocksize limitation and fix it right now, while we are young and nimble. Besides, we have went through so many forks/sporks, implementing this into the InstantX rollout seems to make a ton of sense.

I agree with this, Darkcoin's vision is to innovate and correct problems others won't fix. Maybe this could be a nice goal to add to the DRK development team list, I have no idea about what are the technical implications of solving this but is a worthy project to consider.
