We are launching today the Darkcoin Ambassadors Group (DAG). It will be a group of world-wide volunteers dedicated to educating the general public about the benefits of Darkcoin. It will make concrete the already excellent relationship between the developers and the Darkcoin community. The DAG will act as the bridge from the cryptosphere to the public sphere.

The ambassadors will get support and training from the Darkcoin team so they can spread the word about Darkcoin in places where Darkcoin is not present yet, with especial focus on real life interactions. They will explain to those not typically drawn to cryptocoins, or to those who only know about other coins, that there is a new alternative, a new approach, and one that offers true privacy.

How will this be accomplished? First, we will establish where our volunteers are physically located. On this basis, we will build both smaller and larger teams, contingent upon the area. This will also be an excellent opportunity for Darkcoin enthusiasts to come to know one another in the real world. After that, those teams will identify opportunities in their area and prepare materials to pursue them, all in constant contact with the Darkcoin team.

Darkcoin needs to go from the virtual to the physical world to increase its adoption, and that means each ambassador spreading the name of Darkcoin as far as they can in their sourrondings.

If you are interested in taking part, please send me (fernando@darkcoin.io) or Daniel/Minotaur (daniel@darkcoin.io) an email or PM. We are going to expect a certain level of commitment in this first phase. We’ll work together in identifying good event opportunities for each participant, prepare materials and rehearse if necessary. Some disclosure about identity, location and skills will also be required so we can match you with the most appropriate opportunities. Of course, we’ll keep your data private!

Wonderful! That's great!

It may shock you guys to hear this, but I am involved in this PR initiative as well! I'm glad that I can finally stop keeping a secret and let the world know. I have tweeted from the official Twitter and the unofficial "Darkcoin Chameleon" accounts, so the world knows now! We're doing this.

In my capacity as recruiter, I will be asking people if they may want to join this initiative as well.

A few things to keep in mind: This is a serious initiative, we will be training people so we will require a committment from you to proceed, and it will be necessary (if you attend some events) for your real identity to be known and you have to decide if you are comfortable with that.

I'm looking forward to getting this underway with a good group of people!

Please contact me as well if you'd like here,
or on DarkcoinTalk (TaoOfSatoshi)
or on Twitter (@TaoOfSatoshi)
or on my email taoofsatoshi@gmail.com

Let's take Darkcoin PR to the next level!

Can you really blame them? Both CA and NY state came out and said Coinbase's exchange isn't licensed there. That totally contradicts their big announcement.

Wow Seriously?!! You have a source for that Mr. Oblox?

That's not horrible. Both states are a grey area. Their exchange interface is really nice in my opinion. I think they'll do well and will lead to more people becoming involved in cryptocurrencies.

Still, to announce they were approved by the states is misleading when it's not the case in the state's eyes. Gray area =/= approved.

True. I don't think they've ever announced that they were regulated in either of those two states.
Instead they kind of cheated by showing a map of states where they've acquired licenses and states that do not have any applicable laws where licenses would be necessary.
News sites saying they lied are just dramatizing the events. If they technically cannot acquire a license and there is nothing preventing them legally, why not mark that state as ok?

Since tracing of transactions became the topic of the day, here is a quiz question for you  Grin

Let's say we can see the following transaction on the blockchain:
Input A 1 BTC, Output Address B 0.6 BTC and C 0.4 BTC.

What can be inferred here is that A either sent 0.6 BTC to B (and got the change to C address) OR 0.4 BTC to C (and got the change to B address).

Question: Is there a way to find out whether A sent money to B OR C?

By looking at just that one transaction, and with no other information (eg. access to historical wallet data - a lot of which can be deduced from just looking at the blockchain - or IP logging etc.) I don't think so. So best send a SWAT team to both locations to be sure.

Or is this a wife/mistress mixup?

Thanks Crouton, appreciated!

by "looking at blockchain" - you mean that if someone was sending 0.05 BTC in the past he is likely to send a similar amount again or is there something more sophisticated behind it? Smiley

Either someone is selling to themselves, or it looks like someone just picked up 3 and a half masternodes around 0.007.

Not really... Traders positioned themselves slightly above Otoh... then when a few dumps happened they got a few thousands coins... now they want to make some profit so, predictably, they want to sell it above 0.0066-67... let's say somewhere near 0.007-0.0073. That's all there is to it me thinks.

Quick update on the 3D printing webstore www.ISG3D.com, DRK Darkcoin payments have been fully integrated through ShapeShift and you can now use DRK on the website. I will be testing the payments with DRK later tonight to make sure everything is up and running.

We will release a new 3D printer in 1-2 weeks and will upload more products on the webstore soon!

Thanks again!

3D Printing and Bitcoin, that's pretty cool.

I think you nailed it there.  I ride small waves to keep increasing my DRK position, I would imagine others are doing the same.

I generally agree with you.
But if you look in the chart there are a grand triangle which is forming since September and both sides should try to hold their positions (550K south - 750K north).
Now DRK is in equilibrium mode and traders are trying to make profits on sideways but the time when we have to decide the direction ... comes  Wink .
