i would like to set up a mosternode too. i almost started. but then i read that you need 1000 dash. we do you need 1000 dash to have a masternode? can somebody explain this to me in plain english. thank you.

The 1000 Dash is collateral for running a full node and is intended as a way to attract longterm investors. Masternode owners will be motivated to look after their own interest
(which is basicly a good functioning and growing network that will provide them with a steady stream of masternode rewards for providing services to the network).

@vlom: yeh. It's a wallop of money! But my mob is saving its pennies. It'll be the first big investment of this type that we make. Cryptos are gonna go nuts in 2017 and 2018. Could you form an alliance of investors?

There is a chart somewhere that shows the % of Masternodes you would need to control to get a % chance at deanonymizing a private send.  It's a bit old, it stops at 4000 masternodes, LOL, which we now have 4200+ but still, it shows how fruitless it is to try, and it would be a waste of money and resources for any large nefarious group to try.

And that is why Masternodes are collateralized.

Perhaps it'll take some time to reach their forced liquidation of their shorts, but the more money and energy they put in pushing the price down, the higher it springs after.

If you watch this thread its hard to miss, that everytime the trolls are coming back, the price is moving up.

Im long dash bagholder and im very enthusiastic about the future of this Coin and im sure it gonna succeed in the longterm.But how is it possible Kraken have accepted monero on their trading platform and if you check about next coinbase integration again monero is standing in the first place to get added for trading .So while i see a bright future about dash and im sure it will surpass monero at the upcoming months or years im really concerned about the adoption and the trading volume which means how does monero pushes so hard to real adoption and they get what they want while our first priority is the worldwide adoption.
Why not everyone is pushing coinbase integration or kraken or chinese exchange okcoin integration.
All this exchanges add value and adoption to dash so we should start pushing harder to get accepted everywhere

Time to say it once again - we reached a new ath in dollar terms, so dear trolls tell me, how could someone get scammed by dash if everyone is now in the green ?

While i can't say it's bad in a strict sense, the greenfest with dash going 20% up + BTC up 6% (talling dash up slightly less than 30% or even more if on the peak) doesn't make any sense.

All coins are green, all coins going up, BTC gained another 6% (one month +40%???). Either a very big player entered the market, or I am missing something and i don't like it, it means that things can get worse quickly.

Any news that could explain the greenfest

Plz note that 12.1 isn't a proper answer, for all the greens on the market.

It did happen again during last price rise, i wish i didn't have to resync the wallet in this moment, lending at 4-5% is not that bad
