Whaa!! Just stumbled upon a Russian Amanda B

How cool is this  Cheesy  Kiss

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rq6oGJ0iz6I

That is pretty cool.
Next one please a Venezuela Amanda B, i think they need one there.
This just came to me, Amanda is doing a fantastic job, she is already making her show available in different languages by having people make subs and that is great but why not pay them allitle more to make a green screen version with a Amanda doubbleganger in theyr native language, She already is recording in greenscreen so there is only one layer that needs to be made  Roll Eyes  Shocked  Roll Eyes

Just an idea, on a personal note I dont think I have ever had the patience to watch a Russian show with English subs on youtube.
I suspect that is a common view with people watching non native content with subs  Wink

There is no point. The gains of this would not justify the costs. Most of our target market is speaking English. For those who don't, English dub + translated sub should be fine.
If there are countries with population of millions where they don't dub any movies because it's not worth it, I highly doubt that we should do it.

Without any desire at all to provoke unease here, I gotta say that 'Most of our target market is speaking Engish' is absolutely and completely the opposite of the case, and it's high time that crypto folk recognised this. One of the reasons DASH attracts me is its mature and professional self-marketing, and we should be bumpin' our buns on buses in Everywhere-istan and Darkest Continent to be the first to put a DASH-ed up laptop in the hands of the bazillion potential adopters waiting there.

Dash Price Surges Ahead of ‘Largest Software Upgrade in Over a Year’

Of course the real reason was the Chinese buying up all the Bitcoins they could.  My question is, because I was watching fiatleak.com when all of a sudden, there were no more transactions.  It took me a while to notice, I had my headphones on and was listing to constant beeps and gongs, but they stopped.  Like a faucet was turned off.  So, I wonder what the Chinese Government did to either change the population's minds about buying Bitcoin, or stop them?  What actually happened?  Did anyone see a good article or hear rumors?

Anyway, unfortunately, after a quick rise, comes a quick drop, often deeper than the previous bottom, eh?  That's why I hate it when things rise so fast, as I'm not a trader :/

Actually, right now, fiatleak is looking pretty busy again?  Second round starting up?

Déjà vu
That said, the story raises the specter of Chinese regulatory involvement in the bitcoin space, the threat of which sent bitcoin markets plunging in late 2013 after the Chinese central bank issued warnings to domestic financial institutions.

However, it remains uncertain whether the China news is directly correlated with the movements, as it was in 2013.
Bitcoin's price first began to slip today at around 8:00 UTC, when prices dropped nearly $30 in one hour.

News of the PBOC's actions, by comparison, don't seem to have impacted social media discussion until 11:00 UTC, when posts began appearing on the social media networks Twitter and Reddit.
Nonetheless, comments suggest that some may be using the news as a way to influence markets or otherwise gauge their short-term trading strategies given past precedent.

In a later post (somewhere on previous page) I described in further detail what I was arguing for. The scope was Dash Digest, and if we should tape the show with various actors in multiple languages.

I have no argument against e.g. having our website available in Spanish, Chinese, etc. What I feel though is that people underestimate the effort it takes to translate recurring materials (status updates, dev diaries, changelogs, blog posts, Dash Digest, etc) into 10+ (20+? who knows where's the limit) languages, and think it's worth it. That's what I raised my voice against.

Dash now firmly back inside its long range trading lane.

Solid. Steadfast. Growth.

(And that's just the BTC price-per-coin ratio. Marketcap is even better once you factor in growing coin supply....and that's just measured in BTC. $USD cap is even better once you factor in BTC/$USD exchange rate = ~400% growth over the 2 years 2015, 2016)

Nor has that growth come at the expense of network strength. Note the expansion of Dash's monetary reserve which asserts the token's status as a monetary base by setting and delivering a base rate of interest on the growing number of holdings lent to the network:

Nor has that growth come at the expense of Dash's status as number 1 privacy coin. No other cryptocurrency has come close to Dash's unbroken level of anonymity without completely trashing blockchain transparency - the very thing that supports its value, confidence, commercial compatability and symmetric audibility in the first place.

I have to say it was a bit unexspected, seeing the masternode numbers jump from 4220 to 4281/4284
Thats a nice increase in active number of masternodes.

Probably a dumb question, but for what purpose do devs set up a predetermined coin limit (18m) ? Wouldn't that just cause people to hoard instead of use it as an actual currency?

This is one of the major FEATURES of bitcoin. Contrary to FAIT currencies, the limited nature of this virtual asset guarantees that its value cannot be inflated away by simply "printing more money".

For your second question I'd recommend reading about deflation and the deflationary spiral.
