Ah, OK, sorry, I did not know it is trust based. I actually do trust both members but you never know if dash can be stolen/seized from them.. although I would assume they have quite a sophisticated security system in place Smiley

Hi guys, I have some 300 dash which I could put to some use in a shared MN. Who is the most reputable member of community running these? Sorry if I am asking the obvious; have not been here in a long time Smiley

I'm quite interested in this too. Do you have to hand over your share of the collateral.  How is it secured?

Yes, you have to hand it over, it's not secured.  You have to trust the service.  Having said that, all 3 have EXCELLENT reputations and amazing members.  Both Moocowmoo and Splawik are core team members and Node 40 is a long time MN service provider (not sure they do shares though?)

Hi TanteStefana, Thanks for the info. I think that might become more of a problem as Dash rises in value. Not saying they can't be trusted but I have been burned before trusting 3rd parties. Just pondering out loud, I wonder if some kind of multisig solution could be used or something.

My sister isn't really a crypto person, and is only holding Dash because I talked her into it, so she won't do this either.  I definitely don't blame her.  BUT I'm ready to start this up for her when Evolution kicks off.  One of the things I hope we'll have right away is the ability to trustlessly put together MNs from locked funds.  That will be awesome, and these three service providers will be the top of my list for providing the services for her Cheesy

lol, literally everyone selling everything for ETC Shocked Roll Eyes Tongue Grin

I'm interested in your opinion?

For me it's just entertainment and interesting to see how these issues work out, I do not like ETH in any of it's forms, never had, DAO even less so, I put 100 BTC in to the ETH IPO which gave me 200,000 ETH to play with, but I got out fairly soon after the launch with a decent 100% + profit, though far too early as it turns out because ppl wanted for it to be BTC_2 and all get rich as the BTC early adapters did (or some of them) even though it had tons of unresolved problems, but silly me I should have anticipated that so a $3MM to $4MM lesson learned last January, oppps = never underestimate human greed and stupidity.

I certainly didn't sell any DASH to play in the current ETH ETC craziness, though I did make a small foray in to another Alt recently in order to add a few BTC for my current DASH bid wall.

Thanks, good GAME Wink

200,000 ETH would be = 13 Million in todays dollars when ETH + ETC combined.

Proposal: Consensus / Leadership "Summit"

https://www.dash.org/forum/threads/proposal-consensus-leadership-summit.14630/

This proposal funds the attendance of most of the Dash Core Team leadership to attend Consensus 2017 (including additional tickets beyond our package), to hold our first in-person core team leadership meeting, and extends an additional day to allow part of the team to attend Token Summit, an event the day after Consensus.

Big money! At least for me, its all relative I suppose. (Its not a good time to buy Dash though Mastertrader says he is going to slam it down to 0.0345  Wink Grin)

Wonder if Otohs other alt was litecoin? I also had a wee foray into that one (to ultimately make more dash)

Sorry.

Can you help me?

Where I can see the better Dash fee?
Some fee web calculator or comparator with other crypto?

I see this: https://info.shapeshift.io/about
In this site:
Dash: 0.002       -  $.0.160
Litecoin: 0.001   -  $0.0146

It's correct?

Thank you

No pain, no gain.

That's correct. If $0.16 is too much for you, stick to Litecoin etc. DASH is only for rich. :-)

From Living on Bitcoin to Living on Dash: Interview with Robert Genito by Joël Valenzuela for Dash Force News

In the cryptocurrency world, Bitcoin still has a strong first-mover advantage, and many Bitcoin businesses, while suffering the effects of high fees and slow confirmation times caused by scaling issues, do not see the the use in expanding their repertoire. Purse.io, for example, recently made it very clear that they would not be accepting Dash directly anytime soon:

hehe

I like dash, but:

I think Dash can have a price $500 (in a future)

I think that the Dash Core team for a massive adoption, should take into account the detail of the fee. For example in (Venezuela)

1 Dash -   80$.  -  $0.160   fee

If tomorrow 1 Dash -  500$ or more - fee ¿?

I do not know how it works to increase or decrease fee in Dash vs. Bitcoin.
Can you help me?

Thank you.

No pain, no gain.

They are aware of that. Fee is already changed, and recent price rise got them a bit unprepared. I am sure they will work on it.

What the Dash DAO of the Future Might Look Like

Dash is a pioneer in decentralized governance, running a fully-functioning decentralized autonomous organization, or DAO. This DAO is governed by masternodes, stakeholders who receive funding from Dash's block reward in exchange for helping to run the network and voting on budget proposals. For years the masternodes have voted on proposals from the Core team, as well as dozens of other smaller contractors seeking to work in the greater Dash ecosystem.

Now, however, Dash is experiencing some new challenges: the DAO has grown large. What was once a simple task to oversee Core's proposals and those of the community has now become more involved. As such, now is a great time for a thought exercise on how Dash's DAO can effectively scale to efficiently support long-term growth...
